We ordered the table size Maggiano salad, and 4 different dinners. We sampled each other's meals to get an idea for next time. For dessert we ordered the sampler dessert platter and one profiterole to split. Two of us had been to Maggiano's before, but it was the first time for the other two...will definitely continue to introduce Maggianos to our friends and family...favorite spot for so many reasons!! Waitstaff is friendly and attentive and you never feel like they are chasing you out. I suggest that you make reservations, we went on Mother's day and they were turning walk ins away. It was great for us because we didn't feel rushed to eat or to free up the table. It was a friend's birthday and I had asked beforehand for a cake to be brought with candles and they remembered! Theyi are accommodating, the food is spectacular and the service is great! I had eaten at Maggianos in Washington D.C. A few years back and felt like I was in my families home with the home style service.

We arrived a little earlier than our planned reservation but the restaurant was able to seat us right away. There was nothing not to like. There was something for everyone. The food was delicious. The Italian salad was really delicious (great dressing!) and our main courses were very good too. Although there were quite a few large parties there celebrating birthdays, the noise level was moderate and we had no trouble conversing. But if you don't like it when Happy Birthday is sung several times for all to hear, this is not a restaurant for you. Needless to say, Boston was still feeling the sadness of the Marathon event, but we decided we wanted to come into town and keep our plans. Maggiano's was unusually quiet, as expected, but our celebration could not have been better. The waiter made the evening special for all of us, including birthday candles in our dessert. Eash of us ordered a different entree and we are all convinced that we had the best one! Everything was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant for special occassions, first dates, romantic events and everything in between. We got there a few minutes before our scheduled reservation and we got a table right away. The one downside to Maggiano's is that it is so popular you usually have to wait - even with a reservation - so this was a very nice surprise. We had made reservations, which was good because they didn't take walk ins. The dining room was huge. The place was packed with big families. I had a great waiter, although I do forget his name. He was very personable. I got the chicken spinach manicotti. YUM!! I had ordered what the waiter said was an Italian margarita. It was small, weak and $11.00. That would be the only thing I did not like.
