Maggiano's - BellevueWondrous Italian Cuisine!We're always treated special at Maggiano's! We were seated promptly, and we proceeded to order ziti, eggplant parmiggiano, and linguini & clams. Everything was piping hot and delicious. We never tire of going to this fine restaurant.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMKitchen was 1 1/2 hour behindWe made reservation for a VIP with Hyatt Corporation at 6:45 pm. We received the requested booth and our server was quick and attentive. After ordering the food did not arrive until about 1 1/2 hours later. The server kept us informed, offered us drinks and we were fine as he ambience is nice and we were not in a hurry. The manager came by later after the food had finally arrived and appologiezed again, offered us desert.
We had a great time after all however, I noticed later, that we had been charged for the desert. (Check #0242).

The not so good: we had confirmed reservations but they still called about an hour before asking me to confirm. Then when we got there we we're seated at a very small booth that could barely seat 5 but had 6 place settings. When we asked to be moved the hostess rude We were not being picky Service was very slow but our server was working a large area even having to turn over tables. Dont think they staffed well Lastly unless you go for happy hour their wine prices are shockingly horrible. Hosting staff was friendly and servers were friendly as well. Menu is very good. We ordered the dinner for two and had the stuffed mushroom appetizer and the lasagna and Taylor Street baked Ziti and for dessert we had the Apple Crostada. The stuffed mushrooms were merely warm and were a little disappointing. The Lasagna and Ziti were delicious and we decided those would be our complementary take home dishes as well. The Apple Crostada was also very delicious and we will definitely order it again. We opted for the family style dining ad to learn the 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and 2 deserts we selected were also endless was absolutely mind blowing! The calamari was incredible. Everything was delicious. The spumoni was the best ice cream any of us have ever tasted. The service was excellent. We had a great window table in the main dining room. Amazingly, if one orders from the "Classics " section of the menu, you not only receive your entre but another Classic entre of your choice is sent home with you! The food was tasty and abundant. The dessert menu was very good including mini dessert choices for only $2.50 each. I had the cheese cake which was the size of a small cupcake delicious. My entre was lasagna which was also very good. Having lived in Napoli Italia for four years, I was hunting for a restaurant who served really great Italian food. Maggiano's is that place from the Tomato caprese and mussels appetizer and complimentary Spinach & Artichoke al Forno, and throughout the whole dinner the food tasted absolutely amazing, come hungry as the portions are very generous.
