It's a very quiet restaurant with a more formal ambience - so it's a great place for a business lunch, group event, or special occasion. The manager is a riot and very welcoming. Our server's for the evening, Todd & Brett were formal, professional but personable and not at all stuffy. I think the service is what makes this restaurant stand out against a improving dining scene downtown.
The food is good quality other than the over abundance of salt. We've noticed this the past 3 times and wish the feed back would be taken seriously that the flavors should stand out beyond seasoning.
The music and uniforms need serious updating. The room is one of the most stunning in Edmonton but it seems as if the style of music and outfits is stuck in the early 90's. The appetizers we had were very yummy as we're our main courses. The service was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable.
I have eaten lunch at the restaurant before and have had an equally pleasant experience. In my opinion, The Madison Grill is a really solid choice for an upscale, delicious meal in Edmonton. I selected Madison because I was staying at the Inn. The person I was meeting with arrived about 4 and went into MG for a cocktail. We ended up spending the whole evening at the table. The staff recognized the importance of our meeting and were very courteous respectful of conversation.
The food was very good; tasty, well seasoned, well presented. The important thing for this evening for me was the pace and it was perfect for the meeting conversation I was having. We had a couple of $150 bottle of wine that were outstanding as well.

We've been here for brunch before and it was really good. The restaurant is small and cozy. Parking is limited. This time we visited during the evening and I highly recommend the seafood risotto. It's an appetizer but flavours are rich and wonderful. Due to current construction around the area the place is pretty empty which meant the service was impeccable. Price is on the high end, however, once you've tasted the food, you'll forget you even have a wallet! On the May Long Weekend Edmonton is sadly quiet and many restaurants are closed so I was pleased to have this choice.
Have used Madison Grill successfully for special occaisions in the past.
We were treated to a soothing evening of great service and good food.
The prawns were a suitable starter with subtle flavours and a welcome freshness.
My venison was done to perfection as was the lamb combo- great to have the little lady singing praises early on!
I hope the steaks were up to standard- friends from BC tend to pick Alberta Beef and it looked great.
The Sable Fish had a few bones and was described as "good".
Service was exceptional and well paced.

I ordered the rib eye steak and she went for the tenderloin. Both were absolutely delicious, cooked just as ordered and I couldn't get enough of the Rosemary Smashed Baby Potatoes. A nice bottle of wine and a couple of after dinner "special coffees" topped things off. The only tthing better than the food was the service, It was a relatively quiet night and our waiter paid close attention to us and made sure we felt welcomed without being intrusive.Our wine glasses were kept full and he even made sure our after dinner coffees arrived just as we were on our last sips of wine.
