Madhatterfantastic french toast andfantastic french toast and the unlimited mimosas are perfect for brunch.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGood but poor mimosas.I took a group of 11 to Mad Hatter for my birthday brunch. I had two separate reservations (one for 5 and one for 6) and they accommodated us and put us all at the same table which was really nice. Food was great and came out fast. However the unlimited mimosas were very weak and there was a two hour time limit. I felt like we were drinking straight OJ. As we left, we noticed some people had gotten pitchers of OJ and champagne bottles to make their own. If we knew that, we would have started that way from the beginning. But all in all it was a good time.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a nice brunch here 5/19/2013.Had a nice brunch here 5/19/2013. My first time here. Crowd was young, mostly, and it seems Mad Hatter caters to a 20something crowd most of the time, with the kitchen accommodating adults at brunch. Not that that's a bad thing.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for any ocassion.I've been to this restaurant twice now for two very different occasions and both times provided me with a great experience. The setting is excellent for a cute date where you want to get fun drinks and talk about wonderlandesque stories; or for just a general hang out celebration where you can talk, drink, unwind and cheer for your baseball team on the big screen. The staff was also very accommodating. We started outside but got chilly and they made the transition very easy and I didn't feel like that obnoxious picky customer.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect trifecta hangover helperThey have an amazing Bloody Mary bar. There are also bottomless mimosa's available.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI think the hostess forgotI think the hostess forgot about us for about fifteen minutes or so, but it was very busy, so I wasn't horribly offended. As always the servers were amazing and attentive.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and ambiance!Limited outdoor seating, but if you can snag a table it's great! Service was a little slow outdoors but all the servers were super friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. Im even having my birthday party there next week, hopefully outdoors!!! If you cant tell I love eating outside :)4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWent there for brunch withWent there for brunch with a friend. Solid food, but nothing outstanding. Had the Eggs Alaskan and she had the Eggs any way you want with bacon and hash browns. Server was generally very good and attentive. Ambiance is nice for brunch and the interior with it's high wooden ceilings is great to dine at.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat DC Brunch SpotWith the warmer weather, the outdoor dining was open even for morning Sunday brunch. Although the waitress seemed inexperienced, she was friendly and attentive. Both the eggs benedict and crab cake sandwich were tasty and well prepared with excellent home and french fries, along with unlimited champagne and mimosas, it is a great deal in a great location at Dupont Circle.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat BrunchAwesome brunch gathering. Great prices and a great times. I went with the eggs benedict alaskan. I was very pleased along with the bottemless mimosas!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, service was a bitGood food, service was a bit lacking - we had to hunt down our waitress and when she came to our table, she left without everyone getting their requests in. The resataurant wasnt full, it just seemed short-staffed. She was gracious to split the checks up. Only one stall in women's WC was working. We waited quite a while for the food, but when it arrived it was hot and tasty.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food at great pricesLove this place, unfortunately the omelet station was closed this time :-( good food at great prices and great service as always!!! You will never be able to beat $9 unlimited mimosas made with champagne that doesn't give you a headache the next day! Awesome place!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the tea service to start.Loved the tea service to start. Service was a little slow but worth the wait because the food was quite delicious. We had pulled pork nachos and shared a pasta dish --both were delicious. Music was a bit loud, and the back room wasn't very quaint, both otherwise a very nice meal.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and the total diningThe food and the total dining experience was outstanding.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a good time. Place hasHad a good time. Place has a Bloody Mary bar, which is great! Great price on the bottomless champagne or Mimosa. Great selection on brunch menu.
Only negative was being greeted by a hostess with a mouth full of food and chewing while talking/walking us to our table...3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing place good food serviceAmazing place good food service was polite and speedy! Visited from New York and I'd def go back my next trip to dc!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMVery pleased with the MadhatterMy group went to Madhatter for brunch on our last day of our DC trip before heading to the airport. After spending hundo's at almost every restaurant during the trip, it was nice to get to a restaurant that offered good food for decent prices. I even splurged and got the steak and eggs, which was still less than $15. Can't beat that! The other stuff on the menu looked good too. My friend got the pancakes and they looked great.
On our particular day, it was not crowded at all at 11:15. By the time we left it was getting a little more crowded but still not bad. I would certainly recommend this place.
One complaint: my friends that got coffee said it wasn't very hot, but it wasn't a huge deal.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAlice & Mimosas...My Favorites!!Considering I LOVE Alice in Wonderland, this place was lovely to come across on the internet when searching for places to eat one weekend in March when my boyfriend & I were visiting from New Jersey. I recommend making reservations because when we got there for our 1:30 res. it was packed! We were seated quickly, but waited at the table for a good ten minutes before someone noticed that we weren't being served. From there on out, our server was quite attentive & came back plenty of times to refill my (champagne-heavy) mimosas! My boyfriend ordered the Eggs Benedict (like he always does when we're out for breakfast/brunch) & he said they were some of the best they've had. My waffle was pretty good too, I must say. Definitely going back!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWas in DC for a conferenceWas in DC for a conference and met my daughter who attends college locally for dinner. We thought this was going to be just a good "burger and a beer joint" but we're pleasantly surprised by the very professional service and the wide menu choices. We had a very nice dinner and although not a gourmet dining experience, this was an all around nice local bar with some excellent menu choices. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was properly cooked and very tasty.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
