Madeleine'sUniqueI travel to Evansville for business and when I heard of this unique restaurant, I couldn't wait to try it. I really enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere is casual and classy. The decor is very unique and interesting. The service was outstanding. The waitress was very attentive and paid a lot of attention to detail. The wine selection was the best I have seen in Evansville. The menu changes monthly so you will always be surprised about what the chef has to offer. I had the ceasar salad and was thrilled to find a authentic ceasar salad. The dressing and the coddled egg were perfect.
I am very impressed and will be coming back to Madeleine's every time I am in Evansville. Great wine, no room for desert. The Whiskey Cream Mushrooms are a must have appetizer if available. My last experience, I brought my brother down for his birthday. We had the Whiskey Cream Mushrooms and Wild Game Sliders, followed by salads, then I had the Venison and my brother the Wahoo. Dessert was white chocolate crème brûlée and pineapple upside-down cake. I would have expected a larger portion for the price. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was busy with a limited number of servers. I was not in a hurry so this was not a problem.
