- #1 in Evansville AreathefourbeesDined on 10/15/2014After dining at just about every restaurant in the area in the past 2 years, we discovered that Madeleine's is the best so far. I don't know why we waited so long to try it but we're glad we did and we plan to return soon. I would compare the whole experience to one of the best experiences we had in New Orleans. We tried the fish, ravioli, chicken and the largest pork chop we've ever seen. The food was superb. The service was very attentive and professional. Very charming and lovely atmosphere.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- WonderfulCrashDined on 10/11/2014My bride and I had a perfect dining experience at Madeline's for our wedding meal. We were given a private table and the food, service, and ambiance was absolutely spot-on. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you so much for adding to our special day.Special Features:
- European FeelLittleasyDined on 10/10/2014My wife and I went there for a nice romantic dinner. The have a very fresh menu that changes weekly or as local items are available. Everything is cooked fresh with fresh products and with care, skill and attention. They have a very good wine list and an extremely selection of your bar liquors. If you are looking for a Coors Light with your dinner you just came to the wrong spot! Nothing they have pairs with Coors Light and that is a great thing. The dining room gave you the feel of being in a small french restaurant with the tables, not matching chairs and same for the flat-ware. Just a really great meal, great atmosphere, great service! Very surprising to find such a spot in Evansville. We will be back.Special Features:
- Loved it!spunkyDined on 10/4/2014We are from out of town but will be coming back to Madeleine's.Special Features:

- Good food, longggggg dinnerYouknowmeDined on 9/26/2014This was a great place for a romantic evening. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation to an EMPTY restaurant and patio. We were surprised by this, especially on a Friday night. We ordered the cheese plate (DELICIOUS) and the suggested wine. We also had the lobster ravioli, filet & mushrooms... all very good. We also ordered dessert, I enjoyed my apple pie? (not sure it was really pie, more of an apple crisp..) but my husband did not enjoy or find anything special about the Banana's Foster. Our only gripe was that it took us OVER three hours from sitting down to leaving. We enjoyed our quiet evening away but it took a lot longer than expected!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- What a great find.Davin1023Dined on 9/26/2014My wife and I loved this place! We went very early so it was quiet and empty, but the food was truly amazing.Special Features:
- What a gem in out of the way spotGahuskerDined on 9/25/2014We are from out of state (Georgia) - actually learned about this from Arizona friends who had a referral from Indianapolis. That's quite a reputation. We met Tim - what a wonderful experience; he visited us at our table and sincerely wanted our feedback regarding the overall experience. We were effusive with our compliments (we've eaten at 5-star restaurants from coast to coast) - food, staff and service were all outstanding. The neighborhood initially made us think we were lost - alas! His establishment is a hidden gem and well worth the visit. Everyone we encountered during our dining experience were 1st class and very service oriented. We highly recommend and will also return if we are in Evansville again.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- great saladsbirthdayDined on 9/23/2014The salads ( beet and heirloom tomato) were great. The entries were also good, Osso Buco and pork chop. nice evening for my wife's birthday.Special Features:
- First Class ExperienceOpenTable Diner Since 2014Dined on 9/3/2014This place stands out from the ordinary. The minute you walk in the door you can feel the calm and warm atmosphere. The level of personal attention and caring invite you into an evening with new friends. The wine list is unmatched in the area and the food is a treat to see as wlll as enjoy for every option from start to the wonderful deserts. An enjoyable event every time I get to visit.Special Features:
- Jewel On the Ohio.BeardsleyVIPDined on 9/3/2014What a find! I love happening on one-of-a-kind Single-Propriator locations known for "something" whether a dive diner or a high-end dining experience. Madeleine's is the latter. Nestled in Evansville's Historic district among turn of the century homes its easy to drive by even if youre looking for it. The food, ambiance and wine were exceptional. While a choice between Prime and Dry Aged beef was a nice touch one doesn't expect to find a Calamari Tender preperation of this quality in a quaint Ohio River Town setting. Madeleine's will be my default choice whenever my travels take me to Evansville in the future.Special Features:
- Great nite outCarlDined on 8/28/2014Very timely and knowledgeble staff, calamari excellent and very unique, steak was as good as I've had any where. It was a very cool evening trying creative mixed drinks and hanging out with friends on the very cool patio after dinner.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Dinner at Madeleine'sWinenDineDined on 8/28/2014My wife and I had our 26th anniversary at Madeleine's this past Thursday evening. Emma was our waitress and she was Great! I had the bone-in Ribeye MR and it was cooked to perfection! Very Good! My wife ordered the Frog Leggs and she was not quite as satisfied with her meal. Wine choice was The Prisoner......very good. Recommend this place for sure.........Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Somewhat disappointing for a FusionOpenTable Diner Since 2014Dined on 8/20/2014Located in the historic district of Evansville, everything was tastefully done, except for the food and the service. The food was good but not great, and the server, although attentive, served us the wrong entree and failed to bring us a side dish that we ordered. The prices seemed a bit high for what we received. Since you have to go out of your way to get there, you should probably find out from others, who are familiar with the restaurant, what dishes are worth ordering.Special Features:
- DukeDukeDined on 8/15/2014Madeleine's provided a quiet dinner for my wife and I to enjoy our anniversary. We were seated immediately when we arrived. The duck was fantastic. The rack of lamb was just average. The outdoor seating was romantic and comfortable. A very nice dinner with good service and great food.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Perfect Birthday CelebrationCuriousDiner88Dined on 8/15/2014I booked Madeleine's to celebrate my best friend's birthday and my own to top off our girl's day. It was perfect from the moment we sat down. I had asked if they did anything special for birthdays to include it. I was presently surprised to find the table decorated with birthday items. It was sweet. Our waitress was perfect. Attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious from start to finish. I just wish I had enough room to finish the Vidalia Onion soup. Yum! My friend enjoyed her meal as well. It's the perfect spot for friends looking for a higher-end birthday celebration, a romantic date, an anniversary or just wanting something different.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- IndyvisitorsDined on 8/9/2014Wonderful meal, especially enjoyed the duck. Great desserts! Great saki style martinis! What a neighborhood gem!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- steaknutsforsteakDined on 7/22/2014The steak was over cooked. However, it was still very good. Very large portions.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Wonderful Find!!!!!RoosterDined on 7/12/2014Went to Madeleine's for a second first date in 25 years. Right off the bat the Chef Tim greeted us, Corey the mixologist poured a generous glass of wine and Sadia our server was very pleasant and personable. The food was great, the wine list extensive and the atmosphere was outstanding. The restaurant closes at 10 but we went out back to the outdoor dining area after dinner and stayed until 1 or maybe 2...we lost track of time. Tisha (?) Tim's wife and Madeleine (their daughter) came out and we had a wonderful conversation. This is definitely a wonderful place to come and enjoy food...A diamond in the rough in Evansville, IN of all places. PS-I went with a lifelong resident of Evansville and this was their first time....Loved It!!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- A "gem" of a place.HobinDined on 7/12/2014Not what you would expect in a city like Evansville where chain restaurants dominate. I have not been disappointed the 3 times I have frequent. Still lovin' the Lobster Mac n' Cheese and the vanilla cheese cake was sooo yummy !Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.

- lovely placeEmilyDined on 6/24/2014We were on vacation with the kids going to Holiday World during the day and eating well at night. Madeleine's was by far one of the best places we've eaten. The sweetbreads were unbelievable. The duck was delicious. They made the very best chicken fingers for the kids that I've ever had. The wine was amazing. Dessert was ok. Or was not the strongest dish of the night but certainly good. The ambience was amazing and the owner was especially kind to our children who are well behaved but at 6and 4, young all the same. A big recommendation for this neighborhood gem.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- FabulousMrandmrsHDined on 6/21/2014We have found a gem! Great food friendly owners, great wine list. Beautiful surrounding with the greatest collectic silverware and plates. I can't wait to bring more of our friends.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Great find in a little town...familyfoodiesVIPDined on 6/21/2014This was our second time at Madeleine's and we really enjoyed dinning there. Our kids are in competitive swimming and we travel to Newburgh/Evansville once a year in the summer time. The particularly outstanding dishes of the night were the deviled eggs with the watermelon relish, the rabbit in a mushroom cream based sauce and the vanilla cheesecake. The waitress was very accommodating taking care of our kids (10 and 12) who enjoyed the grilled salmon with a side of one of the best mac and cheese I ever tried. The place is a little quiet and more on the romantic side for a family with young children. We highly recommend it for a special occasion and its historical location!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.

The food was wonderful, nice and quiet, great service, and they have a really nice wine list. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Nice place for a special occasion.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Gem in the rough!Find2dineDined on 5/15/2014We wanted to find a good restaurant in the area and couldn't be more pleased now that we have tried Madeline's! The atmosphere is very nice and also very appealing(classy without being overdone), the food is wonderful, the tableware is a combined experience of delicate notes from the past mixed with modern style and the service was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. Excellent meal and experienc and we will go back anytime we are in the area!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Excellent and exceptionalCowboyDined on 5/10/2014The service was beyond expectation the moment my wife and I walked in the door. Outstanding service and the food and wine were above expectations. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! My only regret is that we have not eaten there sooner. This will be on our list of places to go, especially when friends and family come to visit.Special Features:

- First timeTizzieDined on 3/8/2014Since this was the first time we had been there overall it was great. We were seated in the front and so we did not see most of the place. Food and service were great! Really need to do something about the noise, it might keep me from returning. It was not energetic it was LOUD!Special Features:
