Mac's SteakhouseNot for Mother's Day BrunchThough we've had a pleasant time at Mac's for dinner...it is NOT the place to go for Mother's Day brunch. The brunch did not have all that was advertised...no assorted cheeses, few in the bread selection, few if any pastries. We had to wait on line for 15 minutes to get food. They were refilling the too small chafing dishes right in front of us on line. The price should have been $15.95 including a drink instead of $37.95. It felt as if they were just trying to make money on the holiday. You could barely move between the tables without asking someone to move their chair. The highlight was our wonderful waiter Matt. I wrote them on their website and have not yet heard back. I was disappointed to say the least.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDance Mom DinnerThanks to Restaurant Week, our group of 8 Dance Moms were able to enjoy an affordable, fun night out. We are not the loud, rowdy, obnoxious bunch of "dance moms" that you see on tv. Maybe that's why we were given the private room ! What a surprise to walk into our reservation and have that private accomodation. It made us feel special, so thank you though for letting us use it. Dinner was great. I was a little disappointed that only salads and a soup were available as appetizers. I wasn't up to paying the surcharge for any of the other 3 items. The main course had several options which each sounded tastier than the next. Lastly, I believe both the chocolate cake and the cheesecake were previously frozen and made in a factory.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThere are many excellent restaurantThere are many excellent restaurants in Huntington and this is one of them. We had a private room, even though we only had four people, and our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. Consistently excellent food, service and hospitality. Everyone who works there is genuinely interested in our satisfaction, every step of the way.
