They seated us at the best table in the house and congratulated us on our marriage. I loved the she crab soup and they gave me the recipe. I thought their crab cakes were excellent, and my husband was well pleased with his meal too. I appreciate the offerings of smaller portion dinners, leaves room for the soup! As we were leaving the noise level was rising, so if you want romantic I would suggest go fairly early. We had reservations @ 5:00 and the couple ahead of us with no reservations was seated by the window which we had requested. We were then told we could wait for a window seat. No thanks. I know that window seating cannot be guaranteed but that was an insult. The waiter Pete was great! We will not go as often since our business was not appreciated. Staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough I recommend thisAlthough I recommend this restaurantr to friends often, I really only get a chance to dine at the Lynnhaven Fish House about 3 or 4 times a year. Most of the meal was great - always love those hushpuppies. I had the fried shrimp and crabcake combo and it was excellent. My husband and I looked forward to splitting a lobster tail - but when we got it it was so overcooked and rubbery that we couldn't eat it. fish house met my every request as well as allowed me to have the best waiter one could
ask for. Gregg we thank you for your knowledge and your professional waiter skills. My
wife was truly pleased with your attention to her dining experience and the humble way
you gave of yourself in making our anniversary a very special event, again we thank you.
When we are in the Virginia Beach area again, we will stop by to spend time at your place
whether it's lunch on the pier or dinner at the center window. We thank your cooks, waitress and the fine dressed top man of the house for all they did to make it all happen. The scallops were done perfectly, sweet and nicely seasoned. Our waiter was always watching and predicting our needs.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother Very Good EveningOur party of 4 arrived early and were greeted warmly by the staff, and the table was made ready and we were seated early by a hostess with a great personality. Our server was attentive and personable as were other staff. friendly. The she crab soup was good, though not as crab laden as normal, salads were good with fresh dressings and hot,fresh hushpuppies were brought at seating. The grecian rockfish was well prepared, a little bland but very good, grilled rock was outstanding and broiled scallops were very good though a little mushy, more like a sauteed dish.
