We dined on Valentine's day. The
place was busy and we called to let them know we would be late for the reservation at 7:45, we were 10 minutes late. We had a brief wait to be seated. The specials were pricey but tasty. The potato/mushroom soup was delicious as was the side side of fried zucchini. The spinach ravioli was tasty. The lamb special was good but pricey. Nice that you can order the entrees as appetizers. Ordered a drink before dinner then order a glass of wine with dinner. The wine never arrived. It was a very busy night but we were forgotten by our waiter for about half an hour. Overall the food was good, the service adequate but willing to get them a small pass on that as it was a very busy night."

Had a wonderful Valentine's Day
dinner here with my husband while we were visiting New York for a long weekend! The truffle risotto was fantastic as was the mushroom soup with white truffle oil! We will definitely be back!"

Everything was wonderful. The
seabass, ravioli, artichokes. Amazing. And they had the hard to find Lambrusco wine. Just a great spot. Very nice coat check lady too. So sweet. Will definitely be back."

Delicious food at a small yet
comfortable restaurant. Don't live in the neighborhood but if I did I could see going there on a regular basis."
Dined on 1/31/2014
Lusardi's is an UES staple. It
never disappoints with quality food and service."
Dined on 2/1/2014
The only problem is that the
restaurant is small and the tables are very close together."
Dined on 1/23/2014
Consistently good from food to
service. I would rate it the best Italian food on the Upper East Side. The appetizers/salads/soups are all excellent as are the main courses. The pastas are home made and excellent. Marvelous ricotta gnocchi, fish etc. I have nothing bad to say except the crowd is a bit stodgy. Their lower priced sister restaurant is Due on 80 St and 3rd Ave."

Lusardi´s is a graet place,
service and food quality are exceptional. This is one of the UPS gems!"
Dined on 1/3/2014
Classic restaurant that has not
dropped quality over the years. A total opposite of Elio's spacious, not noisy, and great food."
Dined on 12/30/2013
Cosy, inviting and warm
atmosphere. Very attentive wait staff. We had the Mediterranean Sea Bass and the Rack of Lamb. Everything was savory and delicious. Dessert was a pistachio tart and lemon creme brûlée, both wonderful!"

This local UES Italian has
steadily gone down hill -- both in service and food quality. Never got a wine list, waited an extra 30 minutes for our table while other groups better known to the host were sat ahead of us. Chicken dish was dry and pasta dish over sauced. So many good Italian restaurants on the UES so best to give this one a pass."
Dined on 12/21/2013
A little tight if they removed two
tables it would have been much more enjoyable"
Dined on 12/16/2013
We returned to Lusardi's to meet a
friend who has recently moved to the UES and to introduce her to this gem. It had been a while since we were last there but thrilled to see the service and food were as fine as ever. My wife and our friend both said that the Venetian alf's liver was just that - the best since our last trip to Venice. My veal martini was outstanding. We were never rushe (which was great as we had some cathing up to do!). One on Manhattan's best."

Neighborhood fixture for many,
many years deserves its longevity. Delicious not excessively expensive."
Dined on 12/17/2013
Always great food,never make you
wait-always honor your reservation"
Dined on 12/14/2013
Very pleasant evening. No rushing
us through dinner. Great service and food was adjusted to the liking of few."
Dined on 12/14/2013
The food was very good, but the
truffle with spaghetti was painfully expensive! The food was served too quickly, it seemed like 20 minutes start to finish"
Dined on 12/10/2013
What a neighborhood gem. The
service at Lusardi's is excellent and attentive. And...the food is marvelous. This is our 2nd visit within the week. Superlative veal martini and garlic chicken."
Dined on 12/12/2013
The food and service was
spectacular! The gnocchi in meat sauce is phenomenal! I've been to hundreds of Italian restaurants and for the price, this has to be one of the best!"
Dined on 12/8/2013
This restaurant was great. Service
was friendly and attentive. Special dish that night was homemade tagliatelle with pancetta and peas, delicious. I had veal ragout ravioli with mushroom sauce, lovely blended flavors. They bring you sautéed zucchini as an added side, and to end the meal they provide a small glass of sherry and cookies for dunking to share."

In town for business and pleasure.
Went to the restaurant after reading about it in Forbes. Great rabbit, great John Dory and GREAT wine! Glenn and Denise Hansen"

Warm, friendly neighborhood spout
with great northern Italian food."
Dined on 12/6/2013
We loved this place - very lively
- lots of people at 6:30 on a Sat. night, but waitstaff very attentive and good-humored. I had an app of sliced fennel and some other stuff, which was delicious; bread is GREAT; i had the fish special of branzino, roasted with garlic and served w/ golden beets and sauteed spinach - yumm! others had salmon, chicken cutlet, and vitello martini - all of which (esp the veal) were fabulous. Wine list was large, but at the cheap end not very well chosen. Still, we were happy with our choices."
Dined on 11/30/2013
Fewrestaurants on the UES are as
good as my cooking. Few dinner tables are as cozy warm and inviting. Lusardi beats all of the above. It's elegant, the food is varied and divine, and the atmosphere really warm, true to its Italian heritage!"
Dined on 11/27/2013
Lusardi's has been a staple of the
UES for a long time now and my first dining experience there was great! The waiters knew the menu and the food was delicious. The homemade pasta is perfect and so is the veal parm!"
Dined on 11/20/2013
Always satisfied with meal,
service and wine. Take friends and out of town guests frequently."
Dined on 10/30/2013
The place feels a little old
fashioned, but the kitchen turns our superb classic dishes, including rognoncini and coniglio, dishes often hard to find in Italian restaurants."
Dined on 11/17/2013
Very busy Saturday night and
although we were kept waiting for our reservation, we happily had a few drinks from the great wine list. Host and servers were very gracious, apologized about the wait and made it a point to make our night extra special. GREAT place!"

We found this restaurant on Zagat
and wanted to try something away from the tourist areas of NYC. We probably won't try a neighborhood restaurant again as we felt very unwelcome and rushed. The restaurant apparently does a fine business with the locals and is not interested in extending its reach to outsiders."
Dined on 11/9/2013
Lusardi's is a good restaurant for
good food, great service, good atmosphere and fair prices. A little "old school" but in a good way."
Dined on 11/8/2013
Everything was terrifif, except
they forgot thatI asked them to put a candle in my friend's dessert for her birthday."
Dined on 11/7/2013
veal milanese was dry &tasteless.
appetizer with figs--latter could not be found. wine was good."
Dined on 11/6/2013
We eat at Lusardi's a couple times
a month, and sometimes more. The service is terrific, the food is delicious, and all in all it is a very satisfying, pleasant experience. It is our favorite neighborhood Italian. While there may be finer (and more expensive) Italian restaurants in Manhattan, Lusardi's is superb, and the welcome there is always warm. If you haven't tried Lusardi's truffle pasta special, be sure to -- at least once in your life -- order it with white (winter) or black (summer) truffles shaved on it. Wildly expensive (a half portion of the white truffle pasta is $75), but if I had to eat one last meal in NYC before leaving it forever, Lusardi's truffle pasta would be it. It is that good!"
Dined on 11/6/2013
Quality and variety of Itaiian
cousine in a comfortable and lovely setting."
Dined on 11/5/2013
A pretty place with an
old-fashioned ambiance peopled by well-heeled East siders. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was ok. Heavy sauces, rich creamy cheese on the salads, bread coating on the Osso Buco. Lots of fattening additions but sadly, very little taste. The lemon creme brulee for desert was excellent."
Dined on 11/2/2013
Food quality and presentation fell
short of what I was expecting from this savvy NYC Italian style neighborhood restaurant. We like Elio's(upper east side) for this style of food and restaurant experience."
Dined on 10/28/2013
Always a great dinning experience
at Lusardi's. Great food, great wine and great service make a winning combination. A very caring owner doesn't hurt."
Dined on 10/25/2013
Lusardis was recommended to us by
our friends, who also joined us for the dinner. It is a small place on the upper east side. Bustling and lively...perhaps bordering on tight. The service was very good and friendly. Food was a very good Italian meal. I have had as good or better rarely. This was well prepared and very reasonably priced. Everyone at our table of 5 enjoyed their dinner. I think of Lusarids as an excellent older style Italian restaurant.... Sort of like the Queens or Bronx established Italian restaurants. Solid....very good food that will make everyone happy with their choices...but not stretch any culinary limits. A very good choice for Italian . Highly recommend."

I have never been disappointed.
The food is always delicious. Love everyone at Lusardi's, you feel like you are part of the family. Truly unique in every way."
Dined on 10/11/2013
What a delightful surprise. The
service was efficient and personable. Food was delicious and served beautifully. The place was incredibly busy but very well run. All in all a very classy place for my mom's birthday celeb."
