  • "Lovely space, excellent food and presentation, smart sommelier, almost unbearably noisy room."
    Dined on 7/7/2014
  • "Everything was so spot on from start to finish. The food was the star though. Super flavorful. Perfectly seasoned. The lobster croutons and crab cakes are a must!"

  • "Awesome oysters. THE toto sushi was really good too!"

  • "Terrific!! Food was great and the service was outstanding. Sommelier was a bit absent."

  • "Decorated like the interior of a fine yacht, Lure provides an excellent seafood experience with excellent service. The salmon avocado sushi roll was excellent as was the lobster ravioli. Such excellence comes at a price, however. An evening at Lure is not for those seeking a cheap or "economical" night out. But for those willing to splurge there is no better seafood place around."

  • "Great food, service, and drinks!! A very enjoyable dinner with great service."

  • "Went there for lunch. The appetizer salad Nicoise with generous tuna cooked to order was my main. A Fun theme restaurant. My wife had a cod surrounded by clams in their tiny shells. Between a clam shack and some other five-star NYC fish place. Good wine service."

  • "We had the branzino and the snapper, both amazing. I thought I had ordered the special blue crab sushi roll, but my friends told me I had in fact ordered the tuna roll. Upon hearing this, the waiter asked if we wanted to change our order, and we said no, the tuna looked fine. He ended up bringing us the spicy crab roll on the house. Both were delicious! It was just really nice, friendly service and excellent food. Highly recommend."

  • "I always enjoy this spot. Food is always superb and the drinks are excellent."

  • "Lure is a gem! From the outside, you go down a set of stairs so it doesn't look like much to start with but it has a great atmosphere and is very busy. The tables are quite close together, so you think that you will be eaves dropping other conversations, but for some reason you don't! The noise level is high but you could still hear your own conversation, the lighting was low. The food was excellent. I had the steamed lobster tails ($48) - you got plenty (I couldn't finish them). Expensive, probably due to our choice from the menu (including wine) and there certainly was a lot of choice (seafood, steak, chicken, salads, sushi)! I would certainly recommend a visit!"

  • "This was a great meal ranging from the attentive service to the delicious food"

  • "We brought friends from the Netherlands here for lunch. Great decor...you are inside a boat. Even our guests commented on the floor as actually similar to a real boat. Food was great. Shared a cold seafood platter, wine, and bloodies....A definite do it again type of place."

  • "Lovely time. Great food, nice ambience. Heavenly. "

  • "Very nice restaurant. Definitely one of the best in neighborhood."

  • "If you love seafood, you will love Lure. The food is fabulous. I love the ambiance and motif. It is also a great place for drinks. "

  • "It wins on all fronts - as indicated by the stars, assuming you enjoy seafood. Beyond wonderful seafood choices - save room for dessert - the ice crean sandwich plate was amazing."

  • "Dined at 8pm on a Sunday- early for NYC. they ran out of all green veggies could not order sides we wanted. Wait staff - rushing us to make a decision on our order thru the entire meal. 2 thumbs down!"

  • "My whole was perfectly charred on the grill. The meat was moist and delicious."

  • "This was my second trip to Lure. It's a great spot in Soho for Asian-iash seafood. There is sushi on the menu and it's quite good, but entrees are the highlight. We had the miso salmon and red snapper on curry broth, both excellent, and the tuna tatami to start. Only downside is the noise level, which was high even early evening on a Thursday."

  • "Sushi is always fresh, innovative and delicious. Pricey but YOLO! Treat yourself once in a while."
    Dined on 5/30/2014
  • "The talented celebrity chef Josh Capon constantly surpasses himself with excellent varieties of inventive dishes from the start to the finish. The server was so helpful in providing suggestions of her favorites. One companion who required gluten-free food had many choices. Of course the fish as well as the sushi was fresh and well repaired. Of course, it all comes with a price, but was worth it."

  • "We had a reservation at Lure on Memorial Day for an early evening pre movie meal and just loved it! Alana, our server, was welcoming, very sweet and helpful. She recommended the Lichee Gin Martini, and it was perfect! The best "crunchy" oyster appetizer - enough to share! The crab cake basket was yummy - pure crab. My husband's lobster ravioli was just that - no fuss, just chunks of lobster tucked in the ravioli in a light marinara sauce. Everything served with a crisp, light slaw. All in all, a great Memorial Day meal! "

  • "Love the nautical decor: porthole shaped windows, bow shaped ceiling. Food was great except pricey for what you get, especially oysters and appetizers. Service was excellent. A few very loud diners made the noise level really high. "

  • "We ordered two lobster rolls and they were both pretty bad. The lobster was not succulent and fresh. The huevos rancheros was pretty good. The brioche French toast was alright. Overall not a very good experience. The city has many options so I will not be returning here. "

  • "Outstanding seafood, but the noise level is overwhelming. Difficult to have a conversation with friends. If you can eat and talk loudly, this is an excellent place to go. "
    Dined on 5/23/2014
  • "The food was delicious! The staff was very sloppy. Several dropped trays/glasses/plates...one of the waitstaff even dropped a fork and food on us as he passed and didn't even notice! Unacceptable. "

  • "When we are in New York and want an enjoyable seafood dinner we almost always choose Lure; and exciting combination of Japanese, shellfish and traditional cooking. This time the roast cod was just delicious and the pinot noir opened with every glassful. The attentive, friendly and yet unobtrusive waitress was an extra bonus. Expensive yes, but at Lure you really do get what you pay for"

  • "Came here for brunch--the food & cocktails were great. My only complaint was when I got my bill--I was charged for a bellini when open table stated Lure was serving one complimentary Bellini for all mothers on Mothers Day. I inquired about the charge and the server asked her superiors, she came back and said it was an error on open table. It was not a big deal since it was only $10 or $12 on a $100 bill but I personally think they should have honored it even if it was an error on open tables site under their restaurant and a customer inquired about it. Overall, great location, restaurant and attentive service."

  • "Excellent food; noise level made conversation a bit of a struggle; shocked at the total price for two people (overbudget); however, would recommend for special occassion."
    Dined on 5/16/2014
  • "Have good selection of drinks, seafood and good ambience for lunch. It is not too fancy or too quiet and would be a good place for either girls' lunch or casual business lunch appointment. "

  • "Food, service and atmosphere was awesome! I recommend the lobster croutons for an appetizer and the cod for supper! I will definitely be visiting again!"

  • "If you like innovative seafood in at atmosphere like a 1930's cruise ship, then head over to Lure. If you are intimidated by 6' supermodels that weigh 80 lbs. you might want to head elsewhere. This "scene" restaurant is not for the faint-hearted, but provides an entertaining sideline to elegantly-crafted seafood and sushi."

  • "Great spot for seafood. food was above and beyond what we expected for this sceney spot."

  • "Learned about this spot through a NYT review and decided to try it. Great experience. Service was outstanding and the waiter was able to answer all of our questions and he was spot on. Food was great too. Excellent place for a special occasion or with a group. I celebrated 3-1 there!"

  • "I was here with a large group of people and was seated down immediately by the hostess who remembered me from my call in the morning to confirm the reservation. Staff was courteous and attentive, although the electronic service for the restaurant was down during the afternoon and there was some delays especially with a white wine that was supposed to arrive before our entrees (and didn't come even after we were done eating... we ended up cancelling it). Amazing selection for oysters and the clams were delicious. Everyone should try the lobster ravioli because it was the best I've ever had! The ambiance was OK--we had to shout to talk because it was extremely loud in there."

  • "The food was okay, but nothing special. They were out of almost all of their oysters. The service was mediocre at best. The "wine guy" (name assigned by the server) was completely worthless. When pressed about a wine he recommended without explanation, he said it was "you know typical" for that kind of wine... That was the best he could do. Our party was 2 adults and two young teens. Our bill with one bottle of wine ($110) and no dessert was $400+"

  • "I picked Lure out of the many choices listed on Yelp and boy were we happy. My mom had lobster (she was in heaven), I had the snapper (1st time having snapper and I loved it), my wife had the tuna (best tuna she ever had) and sis had the salmon (she wanted more) but, the ones that stole the show was the bash burger(not on the menu) and chipotle shrimp. Great food and the cocktails we great too. Im going back for brunch ASAP!"
