A word from Lure - Atlanta
Inspired by classic coastal traditions both American and global, Lure presents Atlanta"s freshest fish and the drinks to match in a converted 1920's bungalow. Anchored in the heart of Midtown on Crescent Avenue, Lure has a sophisticated but casual vibe, fluidly bridging the gap between a weathered seaside fish house and a fine-dining seafood restaurant. Join us dressed up or down for a four-course meal or a beer and platter of raw, chilled and really fresh oysters. It's Atlanta's fish house for the adventurer, the traditionalist, the hedonist, the fish-obsessed.Continued

  • "My husband and I both enjoyed Lure! It was a different experience and very nice. The oysters were very small, I liked them. However, my husband thought they were too small."

  • "Our first visit to Lure and we will definitely go back. Wine list was a bit thin, but the food was excellent. The crab dip and calamari appetizers were a good start and the Tuna entree was devoured by 3 at the table. Our 4th had the Monkfish special and it was thoroughly enjoyed. We finished with the Blueberry Crumbcake and Key Lime Triffle. Both were very good. "

  • "The service was excellent from the start; the hostess was very polite, and our server Crystal was awesome! The appetizers (scallops and fried calamari) and the main dishes (grilled trout and scallops) were cooked to perfection! It did not have a bunch of spices, but the taste was phenomenal. We could really feel the freshness of their food. And their brown sugar ice cream was delicious."

  • "I enjoyed the food, but I was annoyed by the following: 1. My glass of sparkling Rose' was served in a stemless water glass. Really??? 2. My companion ordered a whole fish, but requested the bones and head be removed. The fish was delivered whole and we had to wait for a server to debone the fish at the table. I would have preferred to have the fish prepared in the kitchen. I was not lured by Lure..."

  • "We went to Lure before going to a show at the Fox. We had heard mixed results . We had a very good meal and our service was FANTASTIC! The fish selection was good, very fresh, and well prepared. We started with a special appetizer, and great selection of tasty drinks. I had the monkfish and my daughter had the chicken leg, which was very tasty and served with dirty rice...yum. We eat out a lot and service lately has been mediocre at best. Service here was unbelievable. Not only did we have 3 courses of great food, but also were able to get in and out in an hour. The waiter knew a lot about the menu and he also helped to keep the pace moving so we could make our show.We will definitely be back!"

  • "We have visited Lure for lunch and dinner. On both occasions, the entire meal has been a joyful, flavorful, laid back event. Their wine and beer list opened up new possibilities, the menu was fun and intriguing. The seafood, superb - as it should. Service was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, with a sense of humor. I simply like the venue, I find it welcoming, comfortable and unpretentious. A meal there is an occasion to enjoy. It has become my new fave in town. "

  • "Dinner is good and brunch is awesome! The smoked salmon plate will amaze you."

  • "If you're a seafood lover like I am, Lure will not disappoint. The manner in which they are able to preserve the freshness in the seafood makes you forget you're land-locked in Atlanta. Each staff member is very knowledgeable and can provide suggestions based on your specific taste. We sat out on the lovely patio which was partially open on top. The only challenge was that the tree happened to be giving off blossoms that would sometimes land in our food and drinks. A very small incovenience, everything else was perfect. The smoked scallops are a must have as well as the mussels and calamari."

  • "Been here a few times for brunch and it keeps getting better. Brought a group of 6 friends this time and service was great while food was even better. Prices are reasonable for the quality and the mimosas are amazing but no bottomless options that was our only gripe, go bottomless on the mimosas! Also the patio here is perfect. Very Outdoor feel while still mostly indoors. Great breeze also, it's set up like an atrium. And they take reservations for brunch!"

  • "It was our first visit to Lure and we loved it! The food was AMAZING and the stuff very friendly and knowledgeable. They do seafood very well. I would recommend Oysters (as appetizer) and from the main menu Scallops (they are to die for)."

  • "Everything we ordered was delicious. Fish stew and hushpuppies were tasty. The pb&j ice cream sandwich was delicious as was the blueberry cake with pistachio ice cream."

  • "Everyone on staff including the receptionist, bartender, waitress and floor manager made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Very professional staff. The meals (scallops) we ordered had a delicious unique flavor. We will return."

  • "The server was knowledgable and attentive. The pork chops were fabulous and the trout melt in your mouth. I don't generally like hush puppies, but oh my! The dirty rice was delicious and the Korean cucumber salad just the right spicy. I didn't live the spinach, but the others did. The shochu? Specialty drinks were a real treat and perfect if you want to try something a little off the beaten path. I was sad to discover I was too full for dessert....but there is always next time!"

  • "Lure is a trendy seafood restaurant in midtown Atlanta. The food was beautifully presented and fresh! However, the flavors tended to be a bit more acidic than I usually eat. Not a major problem because I cleaned my plate. Looking for something eclectic? Lure is your place! I tried octopus for the first time, but I really enjoyed the accompanying pork in the appetizer. The pan fried sole was also good - very fresh! Dessert was outstanding! I highly recommend it for urban professionals."

  • "Everyone was very friendly, the food was AMAZING, the drinks were delicious and service was spectacular! I had heard this place was good, but it completely exceeded my expectations! I was very pleased with everything and the atmosphere atmosphere was welcoming. I cannot wait to go back!! I recommend anyone to get the blue eyed boy cocktail and the pork and octopus wraps. They are HEAVENLY!"

  • "The service was just as great as the food! I really appreciated the server asking if there were any food allergies. No one has ever asked that question before. Everything was so fresh and beautifully prepared. Absolutely delicious!"

  • "I have enjoyed Lure's cuisine many times during the past two years and have recommended it often. Service is very good, in a friendly atmosphere. Great for dinner parties, dinner with friends and family and lunches too."

  • "This place is sooooo good. The food, the service, the cocktails. I had to go back after a mere 3 weeks & I took out-of-towners & their friends I was so confident. Over the course of 2 visits I've had the smoked trout pate which is heavenly. Try any of the smoked pates they make in house. Me & guests have sampled the fish stew, Grilled Whole rainbow trout which is filleted at the table, scallops, catfish, the mussel appetizer (which is my least favorite) & calamari. Our server Colin is extremely knowledgeable & even recommended his favorite raw oysters to someone who is already a bona fide raw bar aficianado. Can't say enough about this place! JUST GO! You won't be disappointed. Great cocktails too! No skimping from the bar! My new fave!"

  • "Very knowledgable ,friendly and efficient waiter, delicious food {seafood stew excellent} and lots of excellent sharing plates to choose from. Also a great selection of wonderful cocktails and wines. We weren't happy with our first table{near kitchen door},but staff was very gracious and accomodating and moved us to a much better table within minutes AND also gave us 2 complentary appetizers .Very classy..would definitely return and recommend. Thanks for a great evening !"

  • "The main courses were delicious, however the portions were unfortunately a little too small. Generally good flavors except the smokiness of the roasted brussel sprouts seemed to overwhelm the other flavors. Great hushpuppies and the specialty drinks were interesting and flavorful. We enjoyed very good service, but the noise level where we were sitting has us straining to hear each other. No one wants a dead quiet, boring environment to dine in, but appears that achieving a deafening noise level is a must for new restaurants. I'm sure it was the night we were there and our location near the bar."

  • "It was my first time eating a whole fish and there were so many bones! I prefer filets but the whole fried fish was good and I loved the sauce that came with it! (the fish was a special for the week. I forgot what kind of fish it was!) The scallops were delicious! I wish there were more on the plate! The pear and ginger cake for dessert was a tiny cake. It was not hot, it was room temperature and very dry with small peach slices on top. It was not that good, I thought it would be a cake served warm with the peaches cooked inside the cake not placed on top. The ice cream that was a small scoop that was very tasty because it was High Road Craft! Lure is great for lunch, brunch or dinner! The service is great and so is the food!"

  • "Ate at Lure with my gf early on New Years (also our anniversary). Great space, comfortable, nice ambience. Service was impeccable and their menu was really solid. This restaurant group has brought some much needed vibrance to the somewhat dull food scene in Atlanta. Highly recommended."

  • "This was my first time here, and we showed up pretty close to closing time. Our server was EXCELLENT. Very friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu (what's the difference between those types of oysters, etc.). We ordered oysters, another small plate to share, and then entrees, just because we wanted to try several things. We also ordered a couple of the specialty cocktails, which were OUTSTANDING. All of the food was excellent, nice presentation. Highly recommend the smoked salmon appetizer, and the mussels. Nice candle-lit atmosphere. Our server was friendly and courteous even though we kept her past closing time!"

  • "This visit was a completely different experience with the atmosphere but the food still amazes me. This time around the restaurant was packed and buzziing with energy. It was a warn night in ATL and everyone was out. We were not rushed, food was placed in a timely manner. The staff was amazing working the room. The food? let's just say we wanted to return the following night. THIS IS A GEM"

  • "I was very impressed with the wine selection, and the food all tasted marvelous. The only complaint I had, was the lighting in the restaurant was not ample. It was a bit too dark to comfortably read the menu. However, I think we were both happy with our choices."

  • "Fresh variety of food items. I had the octopus wraps - excellent. My guest had the fish stew - excellent. Best Calamari appetizer ever! Choice of filtered water and/or sparkling glass water bottled at the restaurant - pleasantly different. Nice wine selection. We went early so the place was not packed yet. Very comfortable and knowledgeable staff!"

  • "My husband and I have dined at Lure twice. Both times, we had excellent service and the food was exceptional!. We shared baked Peekytoe crab dip. Among the dishes we have enjoyed are the seared Georges Bank sea scallops and the fried North Carolina catfish with tartar sauce, hush puppies, and creamed spinach, ham hock casserole. We ended with warm Coconut-Guava cake. We cleaned our plates and will return again!"

  • "The food was fantastic and the service was accommodating and professional. The oysters were out of this world. I would recommend this "casual, yet sophisticated seafood mecca to anyone looking for a great meal in midtown."

  • "This restaurant focuses on fish/seafood and they do it very well. We had a monkfish and a grilled tuna as well as the trout pate. They were all delicious. The place is somewhat pricey though, so save it for a special occasion."

  • "We were in the mood for seafood so finally decided to try Lure. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, it was nothing shy of superb! First, the food was absolutely delicious! We had oysters and the ceviche to start. Both were incredible! Then he had the trout and I had the scallops! Beyond yummy! What really made the experience even better was the service! Every single person who tended to our table was extremely well versed on the menu offerings and explained things in complete detail. Even the runner who delivered the food explained it to us as he was sitting it all down. I will definitely be back to Lure real soon!"

  • "I've eaten here 3 times and the food and service have been consistently excellent. Lure's focus is seafood and they treat it with care and imagination (but not too much). The vegetable choices are limited but delicious. The mostly covered outdoor area is quieter than indoors and has a different feel, but both enhance the dining experience."

  • "I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at Lure. We went after attending a theater event that was late starting and called that we'd be delayed. The gentleman on the phone was very kind and told us to come. We did 4-courses which took us well into the evening. It was extremely busy on Crescent as it was a lively Friday night. Great idea to have valet, parking across the street was $15 bc there's a club nearby. The meal was amazing as were the drinks. No one had a complaint the entire night. The wait staff was very attentive but not over the top - just right. We had a birthday to celebrate and they put a little candle on the desert she ordered. Nice touch and greatly appreciated. I've already recommended Lure to friends and will be back!"
