Diner Reviews
  • "We arrived right on time for our reservation and had to wait about 10 minutes for them to set the table. The food was outstanding! They had a tablet reader to pick your drinks. We had the squash blossoms as an appetizer and they were outstanding. We also had the baby kale and caprese salads both excellent. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was very fresh, the red sauce - outstanding and the meatballs - fantastic. My husband ordered the bass and liked that. It's located at Mandalay Bay Hotel and is made to look like you are at an outdoor cafe but really inside the building. That is Vegas for you. Wolfgang Puck is an amazing chef with fresh ingredients."

  • "Went to dinner here while out in Vegas on a mini getaway. Food was delicious and the service was grea. Def. recommend it."

  • "Excellently prepared gnocchi and fish. "Outdoor" dining is actually inside hotel along the major walkway from parking, so be prepared to watch guests parade by...which could be quite entertaining as well. Support staff (hostess, bus boy, etc.) were more helpful and pleasant than waiter, who often disappeared and who arrived using plural pronouns (how are WE doing in tonight? what are WE having for dinner?)."

  • "The food was wonderful (as always)! I always dine at Lupo's whenever in Vegas because I know I can get the best food and quality service. The variety of choices is excellent and for my large group it fit everyone's taste. Thank you again for a pleasant experience."

  • "The food king needs to spend a little time at this outpost. The quality service of some old school waiters in overshadowed by food preparations that just don't quite succeed. As in, about half the mussels in the steamed appetizer were a day past prime. The elegant presentation of two-foot long breadsticks is striking and creative until one discovers the bread is mealy and tasteless. The petrale sole was nicely prepared but the lobster risotto was more sauce than rice or fish. Pretty much hit or miss in general..."

  • "We loved everything we tried. Calamari appetizer was awesome. So was the ricotta gnocchi, pizza, and lemon curd zepoles. We will definitely be back."

  • "During our recent trip to Las Vegas, we stayed at the Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay Resort. We ate dinner at Lupo's on three consecutive nights. There are no misses on the menu - all items are hits. The service is excellent, especially if you get Kellan or J.D. and their teams. We could not have been more pleased and will continue to visit Lupo's whenever we are in town. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself at Lupo's!"

  • "Nice restaurant tucked into the Mandalay Bay hotel. Dress ran the gamut from pre-show dress to bathing suits and cover ups. The service was good, hostess and wait staff were very attentive. Signature drinks and wines were tasty. The shrimp appetizer and dessert were by far the best things we ordered. My fiancée ordered the minestrone soup and also ordered the shrimp appetizer. Both were great! I had the Kale salad which was good but nothing to wow over. My bucatini was tasty a bit on the spicy side, but the sea bass was the driest my fiancée has ever tasted. For dessert we shared a chocolate gelato and grenache dessert that was delicious."

  • "Great food and wine. Courteous service. Good value. My wife and I each had the kale salad. Fantastic and large size portion. I had the hand cut pasta with veal. Better than mom used to make (and she was a great cook). My wife is vegan. Enjoyed the kale, but also had sides of roasted potatoes and spinach. Satisfying. Waiter obviously loves his job and does it extremely well."

  • "restaurant is in the Mandalay Bay resort. Even though though the restaurant is indoors it felt like we were dining outdoors. Food was excellent."

  • "This is where I would go if I want to have a great Italian dishes and great Italian wines! Sometimes the service is a bit slow, perhaps it's the Italian way..."

  • "Nine of us were there for our daughter's graduation dinner. It was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive, we were able to sit on the patio as requested, no one had anything bad to say about the food. Daughter was a little disappointed not seeing Wolfgang. Maybe next time. :) Only downfall? Drinks are way too pricey."

  • "One has so very many choices of Italian restaurants in Las Vegas; every hotel has at least one! This was one of the better meals I've had in Vegas over the years (and I'm there several times in a year). Wonderful Caprese salad and a very tasty, homemade pasta. Deseert, tiramisu, was mundane at best. Though there was quite a bit of serving staff, it was confused at times. I'd go back."

  • "Did not find it here! Food was good and arrived at our table. QUICK! Too quick! At least act like it was somewhat preparedwhen I ordered it. Can you say microwave. Not great, just good. Really......."

  • "Experience at Lupo was great. We were quickly shown our table - along the "outdoor" rail for people watching going to and from Mandalay casino. Food and service were very good. Calimari app, pizza and shrimp diavolo were all prepared and presented expertly. Very experienced and efficient wait staff."

  • "Recently went to Lupo with a large party pre-show. We notified the waiter we had limited time and he was awesome. Everyone responded and we had a great experience in about 1.25 hours or less. Food was very good but not excellent. I have been here before (twice) and seem to remember more mid-priced wines on the list ($60-80). These are getting pretty scarce now. They really should work on that a bit, otherwise, i'll return at next opportunity."

  • "Booked this over a month ago and requested a nice table to celebrate our 24th anniversary before going to a show - first time eating here - we were not given a nice table! Food was great but was not made to feel it was a special occasion at all."

  • "The antipasto plate appetizer was amazing, especially the porkette. I got the risotto, which was well seasoned and delicious, but the shrimp was overcooked. I found this disappointing considering the rest of the seafood (clams, mussels, and scallops) was perfect. Drinks were great and were passed around for all to sample. The rest of my table had no complaint about their meals and were especially impressed with the mixed greens salad with citrus dressing that accompanied. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and, regardless that the restaurant was full, I had no problems socializing with my party of 8. We all left highly satisfied and reflecting on a wonderful evening out together. "

  • "Made reservations so there was no wait when we arrived, the resturant was extremely loud could not hear across the table, started out with water and the wine glasses were removed before I could look at the wine list, we ordered didn't take long to receive our food which was good until I tried to eat, both plates were room temperature, nothing on ether plate was hot or warm, my fish was under cooked skin wasn't crispy the middle was cold I didn't finish my plate, the other plate the fish was cooked but the vegetables were warm but not hot, we were in and out in 30 mins both plates food were left on them and I went to another place to eat"

  • "We really enjoyed dining at Lupo in Las Vegas. From the hostess desk throughout the meal the staff was friendly and professional. The quality of the food was outstanding at a very reasonable price for Las Vegas!"

  • "The atmosphere is very pleasant at this Mandalay Bay Italian. The food and service are good. It is not a place that will wow you, but it is very good."

  • "It is tough to pick just the right restaurant when you are in Vegas only two nights, so you have to rely on the restaurants website... this one looked really good and we thought there was something for everybody. We were seated outside the restaurant and felt like we were in a shopping mall, the service was friendly, but very slow and the food was just mediocre. The wine list was on an Ipad, which was very difficult to read. I wouldn't really recommend it, the other restaurants in the Mandalay Bay looked a lot nicer and the menus more interesting. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong one!"

  • "We had a party of 10, which the restaurant was able to accommodate easily. The service was great, servers very attentive. I ordered the fettucine and although had a very light sauce was extraordinary...and I always thought you had to have a heavy cream sauce for it to be good. "

  • "Our party ordered a variety of entrees from pizza to pasta, to fish, to short ribs. Everyone was pleased with their meal."

  • "The service was great. The food was fine. However, the tables outside are exposed to the rumblings of workers pushing carts to various establishments & the walkway is similar to cobblestone resulting in loud noise that drowns out table conversations."

  • "I took my mom here for her special day and we had a very nice meal!"

  • "The food was delicious. We ordered an antipasti platter and salad that were not on the menu and they were delicious. We also had a mushroom pizza and ravioli and added meatballs. We enjoyed it all but our server was very cocky and full of himself and not very attentive."

  • "Enjoyable cocktails and appetizer. Worthy of mention was the bruschetta with mortadella appetizer. All of the entrees were well prepared and very rich. Everything was rich from the pasta to the fish. Be prepared for a heavy meal. Service forgot about us right when we were ready for a nice bottle of wine which delayed our enjoyment of our meal for a short time. "

  • "This is one restaurant that has become an "always" on my list of restaurants to enjoy every time I visit Las Vegas. This is my 4th time eating here and each time it is great. Start out with a great appetizer, there are many different ones to experiment with, and then onto the main course. I almost always have the Bucatini, which is a simple Italian pasta dish with tremendous flavor. The wine list is great and the deserts offer a great way to finish your dining experience. This last trip, we had 2 associates from Italy join us and their comments were that this was as good if not better Italian than they have eaten at home. Great job to the entire staff. Thanks."

  • "Have dined here several times over the past four years (local resident). Will not go again. Now VERY noisy. Menu not so good anymore, many basic items available (like dinner salad) not on menu - have to ask. Most appetisers contain one or more "kill factor" ingredients (like peppers). Very disappointed."

  • "I had the filet mignonette and my husband had the halibut and it was just delicious! The best steak I've had hands down. The desserts were also fantastic. I highly recommend it!"

  • "Every time we come to Vegas, we have to squeeze in a visit here. The bruschetta toppings seem to always change. ORDER IT, no matter what! Simply amazing. This visit, my husband had the penne carbonara - it was probably the best pasta dish either of us had ever had. I had the ricotta gnocchi in a sausage Bolognese sauce - yum. Its the kind of meal you dream about having again. Service is always spot on. Fun people-watching from the patio tables. Good dipping sauces for the breadsticks they start you out with. Awesome desserts. Wolfgang knows what he's doing here."

  • "This restaurant is a good choice at Mandalay Bay. Our meal was good. They bread sticks were good. As with everything at the big casino celeb restaurants, everything is over priced. That being said, the salads and pastas had great flavor. The service was excellent."

  • "When my wife & another couple ate at Lupo's Saturday night (5/3/14), it was likely the 10th time I had eaten there. And, to use a sports analogy, I would say Lupo's is batting 1.000! Each time I have eaten there, my experience has been terrific. Thefood is always great - solid preparation, quality ingredients, inventive combinations, and - most of all - incredibly delicious. The only reason I didn't give Lupo's 5 stars is that while the wait staff is usually outstanding (even this visit, the supporting staff - food runners, bus people, etc. - were outstanding), this visit, our server forgot an appetizer, which had to be reordered. But, short of that, it was a great dining experience at Lupo's - as usual!"
