They bring out these large breadsticks with two dips - an olive base and a white bean with garlic. Both were wonderful but we did find it hard to really capture the dips on the breadsticks. Maybe a softer bread would have worked better. We both had fish: the tuna and the salmon entrees. Both were done to perfection. We shared a chocolate mousse desert and sorry that we both didn't get our own. Staff are typically knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive but unobtrusive. Food is consistently well prepared and nicely presented. Menus are fairly straightforward with a nice range of options. For most items there is some interesting or unusual ingredient or wrinkle in preparation that sets their offering apart from more typical fare. Wine lists tend to be limited but the offerings are decent values and nicely paired with menu items.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth every pennyIt seems like there are a lot of Italian restaurants in Las Vegas, but I was excited about trying Lupo and was not disappointed. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and I had the tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad for my appetizer. The mozzarella was deliciously creamy and the tomatoes were top notch. For my entree I had the Spaghetini Frutti di Mare, which had clams, mussels, shrimp, and scallops in a spicy tomato sauce. The sauce wasn't that spicy, but it was delicious, and the seafood was top notch. I would eat that dish again and again (in fact, my mouth is watering now!). The good was simply excellent and the waitstaff was tremendous. Our waiter, Michael, had a great depth of food knowledge an a near encyclopedic knowledge of wine. It was a full house an it was delightful to watch the energetic staff bustling about the floor. The staff was very helpful and accommodating for our large group. Our waiter was quite helpful with selection suggestions and managing the “flow” of the evening – good job, Michael! Course changes were seamless. My only complaints were that they were slow in refilling the water glasses. Also, they will not seat your party until the majority of the attendees are present, so early-arrivers had to stand around in the doorway. Should have eaten here first instead at another non-Wofgang restaurant earlier in the week. Make reservations as the restaurant fills quickly because of all the conventions that are held. The salads are big enough to share and main entrees are gourmet style prepared, but not the usual gourmet small size. We had the most phenomenal bruschetta with white bean purée. Who knew white bean purée elevates bruschetta so much? The penne alla carbonara was also phenomenal. The service was great.
