Luna Park - San Francisco
Good foodThere was a little too much spice on many items.
Even though we ordered and paid for two ($12 alcoholic) drinks, they still charged a $15 cottage fee for our bottle of wine.... Which I felt was a little unfair..., especially since we opened the bottle and did all the pouring. But overall service was attentive and friendly. We would still go back5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat RestaurantThe food is amazing and not too pricey. The service is great! We had the goat cheese fondue, which was amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day!We had a grate time. We brought out 82 year old Mother to brunch. At first it was a bit difficult because the noise level at the front window seat was very loud. But the hostess was kind enough to put us at one of the back booths with a curtain and we had a really lovely afternoon. The service was exemplary.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and service!I appreciated the wait staff's welcoming attitude and service! The food was very good, the mussels- excellent! They warned me that the salmon is cooked medium, as long as it is fresh and it was, it was excellent! Creme Brule- wow!!
Overall and excellent experience, will dine there more often!!
Only wish the place were bigger so that we can be seated sooner... I recommend reservations!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunchI've been to brunch twice now. Sadly I haven't been able to partake in the bottomless mimosas but my fellow diners have. Lets just say they make it worth your money! The food is excellent. We have pretty much tried everything on the brunch menu and nothing disappoints! It's super loud and gets busy so make a reservation and expect to have fun.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot! This place is great. The food and service are both very good. Great manager was friendly, and took good care of us, decanting the wine we brought with us. Only negative is too small portions of pasta ( we ordered garlic ravioli and penne regatta ). I'd go back again.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVery busy on sunny SundayVery busy on sunny Sunday at lunch, very loud, so we had to shout to hear each other. all they have to do is turn music down a bit - there was plenty of atmospheric noise from customers! Otherwise, we love it there. They bring a big faux birthday cake with sparkling/shooting candle to birthday guests - a funny surprise we were not expecting for our 14 year old niece when we ordered her dessert and asked for a candle!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMChocolate Chip Bread PuddingI love Luna Park. The chocolate chip bread pudding is amazing and fabulous!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was good, serviceThe food was good, service was fast. Then food was good, but nothing "over-the-top." I ate the short rib and my wife had the chicken. We had some wine and beer, and my son had a hand made lemonade. The food was good. The ambiance was nice. I loved the choice of art on the wall. They had cool music on in the place. Our server was helpful and attentive. What more can you ask?4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday BrunchI went there for my birthday in a group of 12. We all had a great time! Brunch was delicious, the mimosas were great, and our waitress was so friendly and patient!
I would highly recommend this place.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVery lively place . Lots goingVery lively place . Lots going on in the area so its a nice refuge, although it has a bar feel with the loud music the booths and the back tables provide a nice contrast . Food was great as well although the menu was not as deep as I wouldve liked. Nice, Hip place for a date or a drink at the bar . Nice place, Will be back .4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a party of six. AsWe were a party of six. As soon as we arrived, we were immediately seated. Three ordered the pre fixe menu which is a super deal for $38 and you get good food. Starting with appetizers, my daughter ordered the mussels for appetizers and she loved it. The tuna ahi poke was just okay. I enjoyed my deconstructed Caesar salad. Then on to the entrees. I ordered the braised short ribs. It was melt in your mouth delicious. Someone ordered the seafood cioppino. The sauce was very good but the seafood tasted like it was frozen. For dessert, we ordered the brownie sundae (very rich and yummy), bread pudding sundae (good) and coconut cream pie (the best I've ever had). Portions were huge.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed my meal!I really enjoyed the pork cutlet! I can't cook pork very well, so I like to order things I can't make myself when I go to restaurants, and this was really delicious! We also shared the brownie dessert, and that was excellent, not your normal brownie sundae for sure. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place for brunch andA great place for brunch and bottomless mimosas! The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is light & fun. They are very accommodating when it comes to larger parties too (I recommend booking in advance). Don't forget about the 2-hour time limit though, this is a very busy spot so they stick to it!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, service, and value.Great food, service, and value. Ambiance was nice and outgoing. Would definitely come back!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a fantastic Easter brunchI had a fantastic Easter brunch at Luna Park. We had bottomless mimosas and sangria, the trois popovers (which are AMAZING) and the salmon hash. It was really loud, to the point where one had to almost yell to be heard across the table. They need to do something with the acoustics. However, the food exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMy boyfriend and I were vacationMy boyfriend and I were vacation in SF and we were recommended Luna Park. Treated well overall!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMServer made very good suggestionServer made very good suggestion of beer pairing. One of us is a vegetarian and there were plenty of selections. We had artichokes and green beans for appetizers. Salmon and pasta for entrees: scrumptious. Chocolate bread pudding was amazing. Coffee was lukewarm. They replaced it and made it complimentary. Our table was in a perfect location: in the corner with drapery at the opening.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was imaginative but onlyFood was imaginative but only average in execution.
