  • "I liked it. I had the boneless rib and it was really good. Also ordered the gnocchi as an appetizer and could have that as a meal. The staff was extremely friendly and moved us to a booth. I will go back and hope it gets more traffic"

  • "We absolutely love Luna Park and continually make it our choice for dining. The food is just fabulous and the specials are always spectacular. This week's special was a lamb tenderloin that was absolutely delicious. The au gratin potatoes were the best we have ever tasted! There is always special detail to the ingredients at Luna Park. I always feel like I'm dining in my favorite restaurant in Paris, because the food is so wonderful! The owners are European, so it could definitely be an influence. The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is delightful! I would highly recommend this restaurant to all!"

  • "Amazing food. The menu has plenty to choose from no matter what you are in the mood for. Their drinks are amazing and the dessert menu is full of goodies. I recommend this place to anyone!"

  • "My wife and I decided to try Luna Park to celebrate our wedding anniversary and decided to bring our 3 year old along. It worked out perfectly. When we got there, the hostess congratulated us on our anniversary and sat us at one of their very cool, private-feeling booths. Our son loved it! The opening can be closed off with drapes, so we didn't need to feel embarrassed when we broke out the iPad for our son. The food was delicious. We had the goat cheese fondue (and will be trying to duplicate that dish at home), the roasted cauliflower, and the veggie pizza (we added mozzarella cheese to the vegan pizza). My son couldn't get enough of the short rib. Would love to come back soon!"

  • "Always a memorable experience, always consistent with service, quality and I always feel so welcome. Make it a point to try the brunch, you won't regret it!!"

  • "My husband and I came for dinner after a matinee of "The Book of Mormon". We made a reservation on Open Table and they had a private booth (with curtains!) waiting. The food was great, as was the service. We had the prix fixe meal and had gotten there early enough to have 2 for 1 drinks (till 6 on Saturdays), which was a nice surprise. The food was AMAZING! For dessert, get the fried apple pie. Yum. The only issue we had was the terrible traffic on LaBrea, since there was Metro construction at the intersection of LaBrea and Wilshire and had LaBrea down to two lanes. Most of the street parking was restricted due to CiclaVia happening the next morning, but then we found the free Metro lot across the street We will be back!"

  • "The service was wonderful, although we started with this great guy as our waiter then he left early and this woman took over. She didn't check in on us as much as the guy. My experience there still was good, and I would definitely come back. I wish the guy could have stayed the entire time, but I still enjoyed Luna Park."

  • "Our family always chooses Luna Park for celebrations. We had the 3-course meal. Everything was perfect--food, energetic atmosphere, cocktails, service, management...WONDERFUL! Thank you, Luna Park, for the BEST birthday celebration ever!"

  • "This was my first time dining here. I had been excited to come here for a while and finally made it over. I had brunch with two friends. I ordered an orange juice and a veggie dish. My juice was so sour and not ripe tasting I could barely drink it. My food was really good, but the portion was so small I could have eaten two (and I'm not a big guy). The service was pretty good, but could have been a tad friendlier. The hostess was great! I will definitely try it again maybe for a meal other than brunch."

  • "I really like the point of view of the Chef here. The food is interesting and gutsy, not prim or too 'arty' and precious. They do a great take on classic American fare like their 'chipotle' caesar salad, excellent cocktails, and a fun warm sort of 'speakeasy' interior. The service was spectacularly welcoming and friendly. I was 20 minutes late for my reservation and they were very gracious none the less. The only downside for me was the ambient music was too loud. There's no need to 'pump up the volume'. The atmosphere is terrific without it."

  • "We stopped in for dinner prior to a show at the El Rey. We were a party of three and were immediately seated in a cozy booth. While the noise level grew throughout the evening, it was energetic and lively scene (not annoying). Plus, seated in a booth with curtains, it was quite nice in our secluded space. The food was fantastic! We had vegan pizza (filled with perfectly cooked veggies), jerk chicken (succulent and moist) and the salmon past aglio olio. The staff was super attentive and friendly. I'd definitely recommend it and we'll definitely return!"

  • "I have been here plenty of times but took my bridesmaids for brunch ... Great drink deals but service was a bit slow on the refills and it took a bit of time to get the check/leave. The food is solid - the place is pretty - it is a bit loud but a very nice brunch option with great drink deals."

  • "I celebrated my 29th birthday with a party of 14 (and a toddler). I enjoyed the delicious food and the wonderful company! We even spotted a celebrity that a few of us were fans of which really topped off the evening. The sparkler on my cake was especially fun and they catered to my no dessert diet by providing me with a fruit bowl. Everyone said they had a great time and the service was especially great."

  • "The restaurant is small in a good way, intimate. Was there on a dinner date. The service was excellent and all the food tasted great. We had the warm goat cheese fondu, the arugula and fennel salad, the rigatoni bolonese and the make your own smores. We enjoyed all of it. The rigatoni Bolognese was very spicy but the flavor was excellent."

  • "Delightful little place. Kind of hipster casual. Hostess made us feel like she was pleased that we were there. Extremely reasonable prices and generously sized entrees. Not haute cuisine, but tasty, good quality food. The Shrimp Quesadilla and New York Cheesecake were the stand-out hits at our table. I was happy to discover this restaruant -- so close to home -- and I'll definitely be back."

  • "The special menu was absolutely fabulous. After some wonderful appetizers, we had Lobster Ravioli, and finished with strawberry shortcake with biscuits in the shape of hearts. Every course was so incredible...thanks to chef Sammy. The atmosphere is very romantic. We continue to notice beautiful improvements in Luna Park--foiled pillars, new wall coverings, pictures and small chandeliers. Owners Maria and Peter are definitely putting creative touches into the dining and decor. Luna Park has always been our favorite and continues to amaze us!"

  • "A little tight with seating but wonderful ambiance. I'm not a big foodie but this place was taste sensation. Went with the hubz and had an arugula/apple/fennel salad followed by the ahi tuna (delish) as well as the gnocchi for appetizers. I was pretty much full off the gnocchi. The ribs we boneless and also tasty. Nice and tender. Only downside to the place was we got appys with our meal. Meh. Otherwise thumbs up!!"

  • "We had a delicious vegetarian meal with a lovely Pinot Grigio! Love the roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts, kale and arugla salad were crisp and flavorful, buttery jalapeno cheese grits were YUM!. Seafood chowder was OK, would not order again. The only major complaint I had was that the music was TOO loud...it was hard to carry on a conversation without having to repeat ourselves. Managment take note...we were looking for a cozy meal, nice ambiance and good conversation on Sunday night. We certainly weren't looking to hit up a club. Thanks."

  • "I went to Luna Park with a few friends for my birthday and had a great time! The food (small plates, pizza) was great, as were the drinks. Our server couldn't have been nicer. I made the reservation for 6:30 to take advantage of the happy hour- good move. Best of all, we didn't have to shout to hear ourselves talk!"

  • "In general I feel like Luna Park is missing something. Like it has unrealized potential. But, I thought their brunch menu was complete and everything looked delicious. I really enjoyed what I ordered (the chiliquiles) and the service was good. It wasn't crowded and they can easily accommodate a good group. I'd definitely go back for brunch."

  • "Our dining experience was superb. We were welcomed by the most friendly staff. The server was absolutely the best and it was very nice that the owner came by our table to check-up on us. I've been to Luna Park a few times before this visit and will continue patronizing this establishment as long as we continue having experiences like the one on our last visit. Thank you!"

  • "One of the traits of Luna Park that sets it apart from many other eateries in the neighborhood is that its booths are actually private, in particular those on the back wall. Adorned with curtains, when you sit down you feel like you're either about to have a nice lunch or get your fortune told. And that insulation in the enclosed booths do wonders for mitigating room noise, so if you have sensitive ears, you can hear your table-mates easily, versus the crazy cacophony of some dining rooms (Animal, I'm looking in your direction). Their lunch specials are affordable and a great way to pick a best-of combo of your favorite dishes."

  • "We went for DineLA, and I thought the service was very friendly and accommodating. I had the Meyer burger cooked medium rare, and they cooked it perfectly. You can add a topping to the burger, and I suggest adding a vegetable of some kind because the burger is a lot of meat, which doesn't taste like much after a few bites. It was very filling though. I like the fries- they cut them thick! For dessert, I had the peanut butter mousse to go. I liked the graham cracker base and loved that they gave me so much chocolate syrup for it!"

  • "Really good, not perfect. As many others say, try the goat cheese fondue. The apples are fine, but the toast really works well with it. Loved the poke appetizer. My wife had the pork cutlet for dinner: quite good, though the green beans tasted a bit too much like onion salt. I had the salmon, and loved the brussel sprouts that came with it, and the preparation of the salmon, but the fish itself was kind of flavorless. Great preparation can't overcome bland Atlantic salmon (likely farm-raised). Desert came, and we were in a rush to go see a show, so we didn't eat it all. I had the caramel ice cream that came with the apple pies, and it was quite good (though didn't have the pies themselves). My wife had the s'mores, and was unimpressed."

  • "Though I have been to Luna Park for dinner many times this was my first lunchtime visit. They did some remodeling, replacing some of the booths with more tables. Not quite as homey. And I believe it increased the noise level, which was already up there. Luna Park feels less like a restaurant to me and more like a bar that serves food. I had a veggie burger (a little crispy but good) and a side of mac n cheese with ham. My date ordered a chopped salad which looked really boring. The service was good, attentive but not overbearing. The servers here are always good. Although this time our waiter dropped off our bill without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert, which I think is lame. But in this case, we didn't, so no harm done."

  • "The table next to us was a reservation for 3 - two people and their dog, who had her own chair at the table and was served food from the restaurant plates right on the table, with the restaurant's assistance. There is no bigger dog lover than me... this was just gross."
