Luna Park - LA
Brunch was greatFood was great, and their famous Smores dessert was awesome. They bring melted chocolate with a little sterno can heating it, and same for melted marshmallow cream. Then a number of graham crackers, and you assemble your own Smores. Indulgent, decadent, awesome.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AM90 year old treated like a queenWe celebrated a relative's 90th birthday at Luna Park. I barely mentioned it in making the reservation---just that we may need to change from a booth to a table if she was uncomfortable. Everyone at Luna Park went out of their way to make this a joyous event---starting with the valet parker. I think every employee at some point wished her a happy birthday. Our waitress was excited and honored to be waiting on us. The kitchen prepared an omelette to our guest's specifications that wasn't on the menu. We were later surprised with birthday cake and ice cream. And I was stunned that our guest's entire meal was comped. Luna Park did everything right. We will be back.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Find!Great place! Food, ambiance, and service were all fantastic! My favorite drink was the Kick A** Mai Tai.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this placeFood and service was perfect. Love the fact that the booths are private and block some of noise when restaurant is packed.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Nice Brunch!Luna Park put on a nice Mothers Day Brunch. Food was very good as was service. Restaurant is consistently good. Environment is good for casual dining with or without kids.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood placeThe hostess is always good about offering one of the much desired booths. The food is always delicious. A manager always comes by to say "hi". The service sometimes slacks. I usually go in late so maybe that has something to do with that. The happy hour is a great value. Just don't order an espresso martini as your second drink (yuck).5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great mealIt has been a while since we've been to Luna Park, but it was another great meal!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMReliably Wonderful!Wonderful food, wonderful drinks, and a wonderful, fun place where the booths provide a nice degree of seclusion. My fiancee and I usually pair our favorite dish, the macaroni and cheese, with another (in this case, vegetable risotto and pepperoni pizza; we were a party of four). We haven't tried anything on the menu, but we've been here three or four times and such is our esteem of the place that we suspect that it's all reliably good. That said, we're sticking with macaroni and cheese and mojitos as our usual.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMnew owners are very nice.new owners are very nice. wish them continued success at Luna Park4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful restaurant - a favoritewonderful restaurant - a favorite - Have the brie and mushroom pizza.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWhen one person's entree wasWhen one person's entree was not brought to the table with everyone else's, a server saw the problem unprompted, immediately remedied it then removed that entree from the bill without being asked to do so and without any complaints having been voiced. Such proactivity is rare. What might have been a minor negative was turned into a strong positive.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMost dishes hit it out ofMost dishes hit it out of the park here. Our server was awesome, super fun and attentive. The music was great too, but just a little loud if you have more than two. We only had 4, but it was a little tough to hear anyone who wasn't right by me.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMUnder new ownership I lookUnder new ownership I look forward to any new changes. This restaurant is consistent in charm, friendly service and great food.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood dining!
