  • "Very good food with great service. The pasta/mushroom special was fantastic! If you like spicy food, the aribiata is for you. It was actually too spicy for my taste and I like hot sauce. Portion sizes are enough to fill you up - you won't leave feeling hungry. Wide selection of wines to choose from. Everyone we have had has been very good. Excellent restaurant that we will definitely return to."

  • "The four course special is a nice deal. Very flexible. I don't think there are any restrictions on the entree you can choose. I tried the rockfish and it was just ok, but the rest was very good. I recommend the baked brie appetizer. Service was very good."

  • "We are local and decided to give Luna Blu a try with out of town guests---big mistake. It is not authentic Italian, the space is cramped and not attractive, the staff was nice but not attentive, and the food was average to poor (such as over cooked fish and low quality/tough veal. We will not return."

  • "My wife and I love dining at Luna Blu whenever we're in Annapolis. Luna Blu is located on West Street just across the street from the Rams Head Tavern, a fabulous venue for musicians and groups from all categories of music. The penne a la vodka is my personal favorite at Luna Blu although the menu is wide-ranging and offers lots of delicious possibilities. If you have the time, I highly recommend their 4 course dinner. To put it simply, Luna Blu's 4 course dinner is the best bargain in Annapolis (at least in the historic area). The service at Luna Blu is always top notch and the desserts wonderful (and they get you out in plenty of time to attend your concert at the Rams Head!)."

  • "Food is fine. Can't say I would go out of my way to go here unless I was going to Rams Head later. My husband and I had fish dishes and they both were over done. Wait staff slow. We have so many choices in Annapolis with great food. They could step it up a bit."

  • "Great dinner and all our meals were excellent! The seating is limited so a reservation is important. A very XL group arrived and that did make it nearly impossible to talk which was the main reason I was at dinner that evening. Our server was excellent with one small note - when I said my iced tea didn't taste right and could I please get a coke instead she then questioned me a little too long on why. Just get what is requested. I said it didn't taste right and that should have been the end of the conversation. She was almost arguing with me. That was very MINOR - really - but having worked in 5 star hotels for a decade I appreciate a good response from a customer complaint and this wasn't quite up to par."

  • "the hostess was very courteous, We were running late on a busy Sat night and I received a very pleasant phone call from her asking are we still coming . She said not a problem and that they would hold our table. I was impressed with how they dealt with that ;as it was a busy time and they were still very pleasant upon our arrival, setting the right kind of tone for a first visit.The only short coming for me was a limited selection of beers-several Italian brand and Miller Lite."

  • "We were in Annapolis for a weekend wedding and I made reservations here for our first night in town. It was so wonderful that I booked a second dinner before we left. The owner was our waitress and she was terrific. Pleasant, funny, great service and she answered, with a smile, all of my questions about the town. I felt that I was in a neighborhood gem in my own neighborhood. The menu is terrific. Wide variety of choices with excellent pairings. Italian food, but eclectic - many, many interesting offerings. Presentation was perfect and the meals were wonderful. The wine list is very impressive. Good quality for your dollar. This place is not "fussy" but comfortable and welcoming. I can't recommend Luna Blu enough. It's perfect. Go there!"

  • "Small little gem of a resturant. No place to wait for your table as you have to stand and wait. However, once you are at your table, everything is wonderful. Salads are the best. I had the Greek and it was as good as any I can remember. Pasta dishes plentiful and wonderfully prepared. Did not have deserts but they looked excellent being delivered to other tables. Best part was the service. Wish I remembered waitresses name but very prompt, friendly and appropriatly humourous. Can't wait to return."

  • "Having enjoyed any number of good lunches, we decided to try Luna Blu for dinner. I made a reservation. It was confirmed and a reminder sent. When we arrived, there was no reservation. Returning home I had an email saying our reservation had been cancelled. The evening began poorly. Our server was asking what we wanted to eat and drink as soon as we sat down. No one had even read the menu. The menu is great! the preparations were, sadly, not so. My barrumndi was bland and the watery sauce contained some washed out vegetable I could not accurately define. It had no taste. My spouse's Pasta Vesuviana seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp for too long an interval. While the wine was excellent the evening was a failure to my mind."

  • "The pasta meals are just average - the fish is not worth eating. My wife ordered the Rockfish with a wine caper sauce. The fish was fatty, too much dark meat next to the thick skin and the sauce was a jello paste. She just ate two bites and had it taken away. The couple exit to us ordered the same fish meal and when it came to the table, she looked at it, tried one bite and had it taken away. The chief is not conducting a quality control check. Way too expensive."

  • "Our second visit to Luna Blu made for another outstanding evening. All of the food is delicious, and they are willing to hold or combine ingredients to make you what you would like. The four course meal is LOTS of food, and a great way to sample the AMAZING appetizers (try the scallops & polenta !) and house-made desserts. The entrees are first-rate with sauces that enhance rather than overpower the food. Try it!"

  • "This has become a reliable favorite. Our waitress was a delight; funny and attentive. Knowing we were headed to a show at 8, she had our dinner timed just right. Calamari in marinara appetizer is yummy, and with bread could be a meal! Fra diavolo on spinach is my go-to favorite. Lobster ravioli were pretty and my husband was about to lick the plate. Friends said chicken piccata and bass were both excellent."

Could actually have a conversation without raising our voices too. Staff was attentive and the food was very good and plentiful. We'll definitely be back."

  • "Small, intimate place. Good, friendly service with no hovering (I hate being asked if it's OK, two bites into the meal. None of that here.) Food was delicious. Apart from an a la carte menu they also offer a four-course prix fixe - any appetizer, house salad, any entree, any dessert - for $35 (Jan 2014 prices). Excellent value. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. We had an early meal so not many people there. Piped music was contemporary Italian, not the usual cliches. A bit loud but manageable."

Enjoyed the veal with prosciutto, tortellini and the FANTASTIC desserts! Only wish there would have been a few more types of wine to select from with the Living Social promotion. It wasn't a deal breaker. When we are back in Annapolis, we will go again. Nice, compared to the Italian *chain* restaurants!"

  • "If you could use the word "clear" to describe food, then that's how I describe it. In every bite, I could taste each ingredient of my meal. Nothing was overpowering. It all paired perfectly. Even the wine recommendation was spot on. You better make reservations though. The place is small which adds to the unique yet genuine feel of a an Italian bistro."
