My wife had the Lamb, I had Salmon. We had wine and drinks. They made a chili spiked margarita that was superb. We drove in from El Paso and this was our first choice . 2 friends joined us for the evening and we all had a great time. I truly recommend this restaurant to everyone. We were seated in an intimate booth and found the staff to be friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. If you enjoy sangria - you must try both the red and white that they have available. The menu has something to meet everyone's taste, including interesting dishes with local flair. Chocohalics save room for dessert, including the thick sliced bacon dipped in chocolate combined with a chocolate waffle and candied pecans. The hostess respond that those tables were for people with reservations. The meal was ok, my husband had the watercress and arugula salad which he loved. I had the grilled romaine salad which was lackluster. He had the papardelle, again a hit. I had the special, a seared tuna with smashed potatoes. The tuna and potatoes were delicious, but there was nothing else on the plate. Something to lend a counterpoint and some moisture would have made this better. The exterior of the Loretto Hotel is unique and a great addition to Santa Fe.
The food was fantastic. The wine list was wonderful and served at the right temperature.

They were so attentive, the food was absolutely wonderful and they even had rose petals on the table since I had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday! I hear the patio is great, but unfortunately it wasn't patio weather for our dinner. Breakfast each morning was excellent and it was nice to find gluten free items on the menu noted. The tortilla soup at lunch that day was so delicious we returned for lunch at Luminaria each stay of our stay. The restaurant is always open and available and often overlooked by many because it is in a hotel. I have lunched on the patio in fair weather and hunddled in the warmth inside during the winter.
