Luminaria Restaurant & PatioWonderfulThe entire evening was great from start to finish. The patio had a lovely feel to it, the server was prompt and attentive but never annoying and the food was fabulous. I highly recommend their prix fix 3 course dinner which runs from 5 to 6:30. It's a great deal.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!!Absolutely lovely patio setting with great food and service. Highly recommended.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food in a long time.Food was wonderful and service is great. Drinks..... want to have more.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Patio DiningWhile not the height of season, this restaurant was busy and provided a fine meal and expert service.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely setting - great foodThis is a beautiful and peaceful spot for a romantic lunch or dinner right next to the Loretto Chapel. Food is outstanding and the service friendly and professional. I give it five stars. Try the blackened salmon and the chicken tortilla soup. You won't regret it!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Dining ExperienceA wonderful outdoor eating experience! The meals were delicious: seafood paella and salmon with green onion risotto. Very good wine list. The server, Juan, was friendly and helpful with the need for one of the dinners to be gluten free. The only problem was, even though the reservations were made through Open Table, we went through the restaurant's website, which then switched us to the Open Table site. We earned zero points!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMCharming enclaveBeautiful setting just off the Plaza in Santa Fe. Excellent service, reasonable prices. Great place to start the day in Santa Fe5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely setting and excellent foodWe had a very, very good meal at Luminaria. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are charming and stylish. Drinks, appetizers and entrees were all of very high quality and the desserts were stellar - the highlight of the meal. We ate at Restaurant Martin just a few days later, expecting an even better experience, but found ourselves preferring Luminaria. Their paella is not quite traditional but the ingredients were bountiful and of the highest quality. The poorly named goat cheese chocolate mousse, is not to be missed. It's more of a brownie than a mousse and it is as good a dessert as can be found in Santa Fe.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for occasionsWe went to Luminaria for my birthday dinner. Took a chance because we didn't know much about the restaurant till I located it on Open Table. All in all it was a delightful experience. They have only about eight entrées but each one is a masterpiece. The special was delicious and it was my choice. The service was impeccable. I can genuinely say that this restaurant was one of the best I have gone to all year long.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food and great serviceMy husband and I really enjoyed the food and the creative cocktails. My entree, short ribs and scallops was outstanding and the Serrano margaritas had just the right amount of heat.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMlove the place, love the foodGreat for a business lunch as the tables are not too close together so you can talk comfortably. Good for groups to celebrate a birthday -- the restaurant is accommodating if you need a number of tables in the same area. When the weather is nice, the outdoor patio is one of the loveliest places in Santa Fe. Food is always good, and often innovative. The pork tacos were exceptional and the tortilla soup is famously delicious. And, the bread and crackers -- temptingly wonderful. Desserts are often surprising and luxuriously decadent.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Dining ExperienceOne of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. Exceeded my expectations this time around! Although we were a party of three women visiting from out of town, we were treated incredibly well, and made to feel welcome! Would dine there often if I lived there.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSanta Fe fusion. Really special. My mom and I started with a very nice glass of blanc de noirs brut from New Mexico. A lovely bread selection and amuse bouche. The tortilla soup was wonderful. We shared the mushroom tacos, achiote shrimp and cured salmon. The albarino paired perfectly (great wine list that includes a good selection of half bottles). All were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We finished with the frozen sabayon/pear nectar dessert - it was a lovely light dish. The service was excellent and the ambience terrific. Can't say enough - a really special meal. AND the truffles..yum....5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLuminaria DelightfulWe had a wonderful meal at Luminaria - good food, service and a nice table. The tortilla soup is as good as advertised, freshly made margaritas, delicious shrimp appetizer. The only disappointment was the rack of lamb, which was on the tough side. The service was friendly and welcoming from time we walked in the door to the moment we departed.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh expectations greatly exceededLuminaria was our first choice for dining in Santa Fe and my wife and I were very pleased with our research. The staff were welcoming and very friendly and the service was first class throughout. Food was excellent in terms of choice, presentation and taste. We are looking forward to our next visit.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Restaurant for any occasions.Food was good and great service as always.
It is one of our favorite places in Santa Fe. It is a perfect restaurant especially for mature people like us.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExtra attn by staff and careExtra attn by staff and care in presentation make this worth the money. Probably the best dining experience I have had in Santa Fe.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time atThis was our first time at this restaurant. The food was excellent. My wife had the Lamb, I had Salmon. We had wine and drinks. They made a chili spiked margarita that was superb. We drove in from El Paso and this was our first choice . 2 friends joined us for the evening and we all had a great time. I truly recommend this restaurant to everyone. You will not be disappointed.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have breakfast everydayWe have breakfast everyday at Luminaria when we visit Santa Fe (even if we are not staying at the hotel associated with the restaurant). It is the best way to start your day. The setting is fantastic with indoor or outdoor dining available nearly year round. The menu selections are terrific - my personal favorite are the pumpkin waffles - out of this world. The breakfast burrito is filled with tasty ingredients - and they are not skimpy with portions. Highly recommend Luminaria's breakfst menu.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous eveningWe celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary at Luminaria and had the most wonderful evening. We chose Luminaria based on Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. It was warm enough (April 30) to sit outside on the patio. The food, the service, and the ambiance was fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSplendid service, beautifulSplendid service, beautiful presentation, and very tasty food. Dining in time for the prix fixe menu also made the event very affordable.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were extremely pleasedWe were extremely pleased with our dining experience. We were treated like a million bucks by everyone from the second we walked in! The server called us by name. Our water glasses were never empty. The view was romantic. Charming decor. And the food delicious - best filet mignon ever. This was a dining treat for us and we look forward to our next visit!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was good and we lovedThe food was good and we loved their signature drink the pearfection martinis. Great find.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I had dinnerMy husband and I had dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Had an excellent experience. Juan was our waiter and treated us like royalty. The Manager, Terry, came by to ask how our dinner was going. Entire staff were great. Had Tortilla Soup, NY Strip, and Blueberry Panna Cotta. Everything was absolutely delicious.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNice alternative in Santa FeReasonable prices, good food, wonderful setting just off the Plaza in Santa Fe4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMRomantic Night in Santa FeMy wife and I dined here on the last evening of our trip and it was definitely a case of saving the best for last! We were seated in an intimate booth and found the staff to be friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. If you enjoy sangria - you must try both the red and white that they have available. The menu has something to meet everyone's taste, including interesting dishes with local flair. Chocohalics save room for dessert, including the thick sliced bacon dipped in chocolate combined with a chocolate waffle and candied pecans. And to top it off at the end they brought us complimentary chocolate truffles - yum!!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful in every respectWonderful in every respect -- the service was excellent including the way in which we were greeted. And, the cusine was exceptional. Our best meal in Santa Fe.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe spent four days in SantaWe spent four days in Santa Fe and this was by far our best dining experience.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice place that is cozyVery nice place that is cozy and well decorated. Very good food and service. As with many of the Santa Fe higher-end restaurants, I thought this was a very nice value, as well as, a good place to eat.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice experience.Very nice. However; there was no one to greet us for several minutes, we almost turned around and left. After we were seated it again took considerable time before the server took our drink order. The meal was ok, my husband had the watercress and arugula salad which he loved. I had the grilled romaine salad which was lackluster. He had the papardelle, again a hit. I had the special, a seared tuna with smashed potatoes. The tuna and potatoes were delicious, but there was nothing else on the plate. Something to lend a counterpoint and some moisture would have made this better. Dessert was out of this world, the winelist extensive, and the service was excellent after the slow start.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster weekend 2013Went for their Easter Brunch. Wonderful food! Chef even came around to tables to ask how it was. Very cordial wait staff. They have a nice patio, but was not open, yet, for the season. My husband and I were visiting Santa Fe for Easter weekend.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFound a gemWow!!!! Been coming to Santa Fe for 13 years and never tried Luminaria only because we thought it might just be decent "hotel" food. Boy was I wrong. Amazing meal. In our top 3 now. Ask for Melissa she knows her stuff. I hear the patio in summer is awesome. I highly recommend it3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe reservation system wasThe reservation system was easy to nagigate...much appreciated. Much faster than calling and waiting for the right person to set up our reservation3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a wonderful restaurant! TheWhat a wonderful restaurant!
The exterior of the Loretto Hotel is unique and a great addition to Santa Fe.
The food was fantastic. The wine list was wonderful and served at the right temperature.

Las Cruces, NM3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMMy friend and I were visitingMy friend and I were visiting Santa Fe for her birthday. We chose Luminaria for the birthday dinner and it was the perfect choice! They were so attentive, the food was absolutely wonderful and they even had rose petals on the table since I had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday! I hear the patio is great, but unfortunately it wasn't patio weather for our dinner. I will make a point of dining here every time I'm in Santa Fe!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMamuse-bouche and dessert nibblesThe salmon on risotto is excellent, as is the Tortilla soup. They have a wonderful amuse-bouche, a nice assortment of bread, and a yummy dessert nibble after. Too bad they didn't have a fire in the fireplace, but they did have candles. Can't wait to go back.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ate there for restaurantWe ate there for restaurant week. The meal was amazing as was the service.2/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAfter beautifully preparedAfter beautifully prepared and enjoyable dinner the first night of our stay at The Inn and Spa at Loretta, we looked forward to other meals in this delightful restaurant. Breakfast each morning was excellent and it was nice to find gluten free items on the menu noted. The tortilla soup at lunch that day was so delicious we returned for lunch at Luminaria each stay of our stay. Very friendly staff in an enjoyable setting - highly recommend this restaurant.2/13/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't OverlookThis restaurant is good at lunch or dinner. The restaurant is always open and available and often overlooked by many because it is in a hotel. I have lunched on the patio in fair weather and hunddled in the warmth inside during the winter. Both environments are beautiful. The service is first rate and the menu is engaging. This should be on your "rolodex" so that you don't forget it!1/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
