LuLu's is famous for its weekend brunch, which is served Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm and Sundays from 9 am to 3 pm. Dinner is served on nights that we have entertainment.

  • "Had brunch at Lulu's 7/13/13. Made reservation online at Open Table - was very busy. Atmosphere simple: brick walls, open kitchen, wooden tables. It was comfortable but the noise level is high. The food was delicious (bit too salty though). We ordered French toast with creme anglaise, fresh strawberries, an omelette with crab, an omelette with tomato, onion, avacado and cheddar. All were delicious. The egg dishes came with a side of roasted potatoes/peppers/onions which were seasoned and cooked perfectly except a bit too much salt. We were disappointed they didn't offer espresso but the drip coffee was good. We would definitely return to Lulu's if we visit Richmond again. The place has a nice vibe and great food."

  • "Headed here for brunch last Sunday and had a pretty good time. Food was good, service was normal and pretty quick. Our table loved the red velvet waffles (obviously), and devoured biscuits and gravy, huevos rancheros and the chorizo frittata. For other diners, sit up in the front of the restaurant and not in the back. Restroom traffic was really heavy and it was a bit awkward trying to eat with people standing in line staring at you. If you can find a table up front, this place should not be missed! "

  • "Sunday brunch. With reservation were seated in rear with traffic for restrroms one table away and facing a brick wall. Menu while lively with entertaining descriptions was not excitingly broad. Noise level over the top with eclectic music selections. Tall ceilings did little to temper ear splitting energy not of relaxing mood. Young lady at next table obviously had headache from being overserved the previous night and was holding her ears against noise level. Return? Think not."

However,we were thrown off by the Shockhoe Bottom Restaurant Week tasting menu since it was a 3- course ,fixed price($30.00)one and we actually had had other plans for dessert.Unfortunately,I was not wowed by the courses offered,particularly my over cooked pork loin and meager tomato salad.If we had been able to order just as we had intended,I think the dining would have been more satisfactory.The five of us were out for an enjoyable evening with other entertainment ahead and we certainly had a nice time.The waiter was friendly and competent.However,I don't plan on a repeat visit as I have many other places to repeat or try out."

  • "Lulu's dinner menu is packed with great takes on tradiational Southern Seafood items. We started with Spinach and Crab Dip, which was excellent and made even better by the fresh flatbeard. For dinner we had the the Pumpkin Seed Encrusted Mahi Mahi and the Risotto with Shrimp. The risotto that came with both meals adds a great deal of balance and was very flavorful. Meanwhile, the pumpkin seeded crust of the Mahi Mahi gave it texture and additional flavor I had never had with Mahi Mahi. Also, the crab avocado salsa with the Mahi Mahi was unique and combination of good flavors. Note, the salsa is cold, which may throw you off if you were expected it to be warm. It is wonderful regardless. The service was fabulous!"

Between us we have covered 2/3rds of the menu and everything is wonderful. The biscuits and gravy and pimento grits are my two favorite things!! Great restaurant down by the farmer's market, so be prepared to search for parking."

  • "We had a wonderful time at our post-graduation brunch. Seamus & co. were helpful when I had to change my number of guests and seated us right near the window. My out-of-town guests, new to Richmond, loved the meal, as did the rest of us. Our seating was a Saturday afternoon, so it was not loud and bustling, but it was not cricket-quiet either. Just right. The food was amazing and the portions were perfect. Thanks to LuLu's we made a nice family memory that we'll talk about for years to come. I plan on returning for dinner some time."
