I read about LuLu's in the Charlotte magazine as a "must experience" restaurant in Charlotte. I loved the fact that the restaurant was located in a area that is being revitalized and it fit perfect in the surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We will certainly put this on our list to visit again on our next trip.

Despite our reservation we still had to wait 20 minutes for our table. Extremely noisy. I asked for a quiet table and was given a very noisy section of the restaurant. My dinner was mediocre at best . . . a very bland chicken. I ordered and paid for a half chicken but was served a leg and thigh. Will not return especially since the entrees are fairly expensive.

The dining room is beautifully laid out with tables that are close, but not cramped. Our server was attentive and fully knowledgeable about all items on the menu. To start, we split the salad with chicken livers and were not disappointed. It was unlike anything we had ever had, with the most tender and delectable liver I have ever had. My husband had the chicken stuffed with brie and I ordered the nightly special of soft shelled crabs with a spinach/gruyere gratin. We both really enjoyed our meal. The quality of the ingredients for every aspect of the meal is top of the line. Thanks to all of the staff at Lulu's for providing a truly delightful dining experience.

Everything about Lulu was wonderful. We enjoyed our meal, and thought the atmosphere was wonderful. Only one complaint:We had an 8:00 reservation, and when we arrived it was clear that Lulu was popular.We were told it would be a short wait(reminder, we had a reservation),and not seeing any seats at the bar in the front, we just stood awkwardly near the door. The host seemed to offer others drinks, but no one was at the bar in case we wanted to order a drink. We continued to stand around for 15-20 minutes, and were then told we could wait at the lounge in the back. I just wonder why we stood there for so long without knowing about the back area. Desperately wanting a drink, they were out of my first two choices of wines. seated at 8:45
