Our party consisted of nine (9) for dinner and they set us up in the bar area which was a good thing because the restaurant side would have been too crowded for us. The staff was great! I appreciated the fact that our wait-staff took the time to explain the menu, to describe the dinner selections, answered our questions and offered suggestions. Her comments were very helpful. The food was well prepared and tasted great.

We had a wonderful dining experience. But -- there were a few strange comments made by our server that threw us off. We asked her about the stinging nettles in the canneloni, and instead of describing what those were, she told us they were "stinging nettles in the canneloni," and it was sort of a smart-alacky tone. Then when we ordered a double espresso at the end of the night, the response was that they only had one size. Well, why can't you put two shots of espresso in a larger cup? She was knowledgable, but some comments were not appreciated.

The food at Lula was inventive, and exciting in taste and preparation. The waitress could not have been any nicer and the vibe was cool. The place was humming with young families, couples and friends. The price seemed appropriate for what we were served. Great place!

From the minute I walked in I knew the place was for me. Casual yet confident. The bartender was great as were our waitresses followed by foods I have never had before that were fabulous. I had a beet entre, because I love beets but had never seen a main meal made of beets. Every bite was better than the last. One of our guests brought their eight year old. They made him a special meal and then cookies while we chatted and enjoyed our evening. Great place all around! 10

Sadly disappointing, after great experiences there a few years ago (we're from east coast). Sweetbreads like gold nuggets, not metaphorically, really small & hard & w/o much flavor. Sauce was flavorful, but it should not have had to compensate for the deficiencies of meat. Goat cheese salad was well prepared & tasty, with especially tasty vinaigrette.
Short ribs were oddly conceived. Instead of usual 2 inch chop-like pillow of rich beef, they sliced it in 3, resulting in 1/2 inch chop-like cuts that resembled BBQ pork ribs more than beef short ribs. They retained the expected flavor, but they were crispy and tough and not especially easy to navigate. They were closer to beef jerky than short ribs. Dessert was excellent, thank goodness.

i haven't visited lula for 3 years. glad that now, you are accpeting reservation. so much easiler to visit again without waiting for a table! always, great live energetic ambiance in the dinning room, and the food... the food!!! love the food. glad that the yiayia pasta and chicken is still on the menu, they are my guest and my fav! for apt, we had tempura mushroom and spinich salad. had great presentation, well porprotioned seasonings, the spinich salad was big enough to be an entree. our entrees were skate wing and of course the chicken (were so torn by chef tasting menu and everything else!!!) the skatewing was perfect! nice and crispy out and juicy and moist in, great flavors. my guest who dislike fish, kept on eating. thanks! c u soon
