Been there one other time. Service the first time was top notch. Probably wont be back after this visit, food was ok, service was terrible. Gave us the restaurant week menu. On the assumption that's why we were there. Waiter said the other menu is only available on request. I don't like that they made the choice for me. Give me the option when I walk in the door as to what menu I want. We had to wait for a good 5 minutes or so to get drinks. There wasn't many people in the place to warrant a long wait on drinks. My meal wasn't piping hot, just luke warm. Person sitting across from our table was so loud and inconsiderate. This place isn't a cheap dining place and when I go there, I want to enjoy my meal in peace and quite.

Luke's a Steak Place. This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. The only rough part is that it is located in a small strip mall. The rest of the place is the diamond. Service is outstanding, food is outstanding and the wine options were outstanding. My husband and I love this place. I would recommend it for a romantic dinner for two or a place to dine with friends. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Thanks for a great dinner!

We had turf and surf and the shrimp was very good, but only got 2. steak was good, not great in size, thickness or preparation. Sauteed mushrooms were terrible! They were most likely canned or at least tasted like it! Didn't care so much for the family style salad, would have preferred the vegies to be cut smaller. Overall experience, (too expensive for the meal we got!) We came from Longmont to go hear a band nearby, and found Luke's on-line, so thought we would try something new and different. Saw your great reviews and that's why we went there! Service was good, thank-you!

We waited 10 minutes for our server to greet us. Then when the salad (served family style) was brought to our table, the green onions, celery, and carrot were still whole. We tried to cut them ourselves, which proved difficult since all we had were dull butter knives. The ribeye was extremely tough, the shrimp was over salted, and the sides were mediocre. Overall, the entire experience was a disappointment. This was our first and last visit.

Salad was excellent, asparagus was past its prime. Steaks were so-so. 12 oz Rib eye was not thick enough, typical "make it look big" rather that properly thickness....ala Ponderosa. Was cooked about right. Quite simply, it was a decent meal but priced too high for my tastes unless truly superb....which is was not.

The steaks at Luke's are great -- juicy, cooked just right. It's a special occasion restaurant for us, though, because it is so pricey. Our dinner with two classes of wine and shrimp cocktail topped $100, and we ordered the moderately priced rib-eyes. It's worth it for a special occasion, but it can't be a go-to steak spot at these prices in Arvada.

Luke's is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for special occasions. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary there this year. My wife loves their scallops. On this visit we both enjoyed the large prawns in the shrimp cocktail. The New York strip was excellent for an entrée. We always get terrific service from the regular wait staff. We really appreciate the comfortable casual atmosphere paired with the great food and wine selections.

Great Steak Place! The food was amazing! I'm sure my 16 oz steak was at least 20 oz, as I couldn't finish it - a very rare occasion. The steaks and the sides were all seasoned to perfection, the waitress was friendly and attentive, and the owner even made the rounds to personally ensure we had a good meal and great experience. Luke's offers all of the quality of a top-end steakhouse with prices that allow you to visit more often. Don't get me wrong, you get what you pay for in this world and this is not a cheap place. However, the quality is as good as higher-priced steakhouses in the metropolitan area, but Luke's still costs less per entree, and there are NO additional charges for your sides.

It was the most expensive and worst meal I've had thus far this year. The salad was too salty from excess cheese. Usually a place as expensive as this would add cheese or fresh ground pepper at the table. The soup tasted like it came from a can. The calamari left much to be desired. I know the specialty here is steak, but even the steak was not that great. The waitress was nice, but clearly inexperienced. She did not even ask how we wanted our steaks done. Overall, very disappointed, since we drove all the way from east Denver to try it out. Wish we had come during restaurant week, because at least we would've paid less for this meal.

My husband and I have been coming to Lukes's since it opened. The food never disappoints, the wait staff is friendly and very attentive. The menu is greatly expanded since the original opening, the additions are great choices. We miss the personal touch Mike used to bring to the dining experience. He knew the regulars by name and if he was there, which he usually was, he always made a point to come by, say hello and make sure you were satisfied with the meal and service.

Every thing was as always perfect. The food is always excellent the wait staff is always very helpful, and always courteous. I have eaten there often and maybe years apart, but always beats my expectations Unfortunately for me you are located across town and although the ride is about forty five minutes it is never disappointing. Have had birthday dinners and friend get together, and always have the greatest food and service. The price point is very good when compared with other steak places, such as Morton's, Shanahan's, Elway's Ruth Crisp, and many others that I have been to Luke's is always the best. Thank you for not changing, and stay just as you are a friendly place to have a great meal and most importantly, the best dinning experienc

Sincerely, this place has to have one of the best ribeye steaks this side of downtown. Other items on the menu are also delectable, however to find a well seasoned juicy ribeye west of downtown, for an affordable price? Now, that's a rarity. Plus, the service was excellent! Wouldn't think you could find a quality five star restaurant in a strip mall of i-70. Guess you can't judge books by their covers :-) Will definitely be visiting again!

Even though it was Restaurant Week, so we had a limited menu, it didn't detract from the total package that is, LUKE'S, A STEAK PLACE! Luke's has the best steak in town, cooked to perfection anyway you want it. My favorite is the New York Cut. Usually they have grilled asparagus which is wonderful, but since it was Restaurant Week they didn't have the menu. Well, that just mean I have to go back!

This years experience at Luke's did not come close to last years. The glass of wine was taken away, and the dessart was bad. I loved the Blue cheese potaoes last year, and they were gone. All said, I get that the price needed to go up to insure a good menue and the restaurant week is very hard on the restaurant, but don't cheapen the menue. Give a choice of a glass of wine or dessart, heat the plates, and up your side choices. I love Luke's but restaurant week was a disappointment.

Tried this place out for the first time the other week for brunch/lunch and was pleasantly surprised! The brunch menu looked great but my fiance and I were too tempted by the blue cheese fillet sandwich to pass it up, and it definitely did not disappoint! The bottomless mimosas were great too; they bring you a craft of them to your table so you don't need to bug the server every time you need a refill. We will definitely be going back soon to try out their dinner menu and again for brunch! Highly recommend!!!

Luke's A Steak Place is just around the corner from us. I thought we could try this place for our annual Denver Restaurant Week outing. What a gem. Close to home, lots of parking, not downtown, quiet enough to actually be able to have a conversation, we were never rushed with our meal. service was outstanding, always had a full water glass, and with me that is a big plus. The steaks were awesome along with the great wine. We will definitely go back again.

The steaks we had were the best that we have eaten in recent memory, wasn't a big fan of the blue cheese scalloped potatoes, but I had to try them, the steamed mussels were great don't hesitate to get an order of those you won't be disappointed. They have a small bar you can set at and eat at the bartender was great she was very busy but still took the time to talk to everyone setting at the bar. We had a table with reservations and got seated late as tables were not available and they compt. our drinks. I'll be back!

Luke's was a pleasant surprise, i mean i didnt expect what i came into by the outside looks and location of the SteakHouse. Dress was Business Casual. Our waitress was really sweet and accommodating. Seating was roomy enough for a big guy like myself. I was glad to see the steaks come out with a Potato and Vegetable, both of my choice. The desert tray was great. (I know, We ate most of it) I have eaten at many steak houses over the last 25 years in Denver. Downtown, south of town, west of town and up North. This was my first time at Luke's. Great Job Guys, one of the best steaks I have had on a long time. Great deal for the price! I would recommend this to all!

We recently visited Luke's for a birthday celebration and immediately encountered problems with the reservation. I had a confirmation from Open Table but the restaurant had no record of it. Luckily, since we arrived early in the evening we were able to be seated. The steaks are consistently excellent and well prepared. Two of us ordered steamed asparagus and while it was good, the Hollandaise sauce had no flavor; it should be re-worked or eliminated. The other sides, baked white and sweet potatoes were fine. It was a busy night but we had a long wait for all of the service. The wait person was friendly and gracious, but we waited over 45 minutes for anything but drinks on the table. The quality has declined.
