Had no idea this place was there and has been for such a long time. Food and service was excellent. We all got filet so can't be sure about anything else but liked how all sides were included. Drinks and dessert were great too as was bread. Will go back!

I have been told many great things about this place, however the food was really lack luster. My bone in rib eye tasted like propane and only propane. It was cooked properly and tender but I couldn't get around the taste. I took my leftovers home and the dog wouldn't even eat the steak. My husbands filet minion was probably worth 4 stars. It's to bad that my steak ruined our meal. The salad was strange and awkward to eat because the giant chunks of vegetables. Judging from our service and quality of the food I would say this place is overpriced by $10-15 each steak. I don't think we will go back, because for the money, there are a lot better steak houses around denver.

Very tasty and grilled to done-ness exactly as described on menu. I had the cowboy steak (bone-in rib-eye). Next time will try NY Strip. Baked potato was spectacular. Calamari has hefty breading but is very good, can really taste the squid. Not really the absolute best steak in metro area but all considered certainly worth the trip. Our service was terrific. Will be back.

Went for a pre theater dinner mid week. Food and service were very good. Dining room has large windows looking out on the small shopping center which is a drawback but not terrible. A live jazz band was playing in the bar which could be heard in the dining room - a very nice touch. Dinners are all inclusive so the $30 to $40+ entries are really not expensive for a steak house. Will return if in the neighborhood.

I like that Lukes is family owned and not a chain restaurant, however, this quality may be the very thing that makes them just a little more expensive than most for what you get. The quality of the beef was excellent, but the quality and preparation of the vegetables was average to sub-par. The selection of sides was much better than most. The service was a little below average on the Saturday we were there and they were not at all busy. I have food allergies which I discussed with the server and my needs were primarily ignored with the exception of a substitute salad dressing.

I have never eaten a less-than-outstanding steak at Luke's. They are always perfectly cooked-to-order, tender and delicious. The lobster is yummy as well as everything else on the menu, including the sides. Their recently-updated décor is clean, open and classy. On Wednesday, 3Sep14, our server, Katie, was efficient, friendly, gracious, and professional. An all-around delightful experience.

Went for resturant week. As someone noted on Yelp that went to rest. wk., waited for 10mins before waitpers. showed up. Food & serv. were both only mediocre. I wished I read the reviews on yelp before we went there. Place is a little pricy for only mediocre. Do not think we will be back. We have been there in the past & the serv. & food was good. Not sure what happened to the place. There are alot of better places to go!

This was our second time at Luke's and we took advantage of the Denver Restaurant Week menu and prices. We were sat in a large room by ourselves away from the bar and restaurant activity - leaving much to be desired from the ambience. The service was okay, probably not great as we were the only ones in that room. The salmon was good and flavorful. The steaks were cooked properly but were very lightly seasoned. The dessert for two: flan and chocolate mousse was very good. Overall I would say the experience was fair to good. We will probably go back as it is close to our home, but we can definitely get better ambience and service elsewhere.

Been there one other time. Service the first time was top notch. Probably wont be back after this visit, food was ok, service was terrible. Gave us the restaurant week menu. On the assumption that's why we were there. Waiter said the other menu is only available on request. I don't like that they made the choice for me. Give me the option when I walk in the door as to what menu I want. We had to wait for a good 5 minutes or so to get drinks. There wasn't many people in the place to warrant a long wait on drinks. My meal wasn't piping hot, just luke warm. Person sitting across from our table was so loud and inconsiderate. This place isn't a cheap dining place and when I go there, I want to enjoy my meal in peace and quite.

Luke's a Steak Place. This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. The only rough part is that it is located in a small strip mall. The rest of the place is the diamond. Service is outstanding, food is outstanding and the wine options were outstanding. My husband and I love this place. I would recommend it for a romantic dinner for two or a place to dine with friends. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Thanks for a great dinner!

We had turf and surf and the shrimp was very good, but only got 2. steak was good, not great in size, thickness or preparation. Sauteed mushrooms were terrible! They were most likely canned or at least tasted like it! Didn't care so much for the family style salad, would have preferred the vegies to be cut smaller. Overall experience, (too expensive for the meal we got!) We came from Longmont to go hear a band nearby, and found Luke's on-line, so thought we would try something new and different. Saw your great reviews and that's why we went there! Service was good, thank-you!

We waited 10 minutes for our server to greet us. Then when the salad (served family style) was brought to our table, the green onions, celery, and carrot were still whole. We tried to cut them ourselves, which proved difficult since all we had were dull butter knives. The ribeye was extremely tough, the shrimp was over salted, and the sides were mediocre. Overall, the entire experience was a disappointment. This was our first and last visit.

We are long-time fans of Luke's, but this last time I went while on a very restrictive diet - yuck enough. But, Chef Bob got the word and made my sauteed shrimp low fat and fantastically flavored. I absolutely loved it.....rates up there with my most memorable meals there. This totally renewed my loyalty. These folks really care about making great food and making each customer feel special.

Salad was excellent, asparagus was past its prime. Steaks were so-so. 12 oz Rib eye was not thick enough, typical "make it look big" rather that properly thickness....ala Ponderosa. Was cooked about right. Quite simply, it was a decent meal but priced too high for my tastes unless truly superb....which is was not.

The steaks at Luke's are great -- juicy, cooked just right. It's a special occasion restaurant for us, though, because it is so pricey. Our dinner with two classes of wine and shrimp cocktail topped $100, and we ordered the moderately priced rib-eyes. It's worth it for a special occasion, but it can't be a go-to steak spot at these prices in Arvada.

Luke's is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for special occasions. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary there this year. My wife loves their scallops. On this visit we both enjoyed the large prawns in the shrimp cocktail. The New York strip was excellent for an entrée. We always get terrific service from the regular wait staff. We really appreciate the comfortable casual atmosphere paired with the great food and wine selections.

Great Steak Place! The food was amazing! I'm sure my 16 oz steak was at least 20 oz, as I couldn't finish it - a very rare occasion. The steaks and the sides were all seasoned to perfection, the waitress was friendly and attentive, and the owner even made the rounds to personally ensure we had a good meal and great experience. Luke's offers all of the quality of a top-end steakhouse with prices that allow you to visit more often. Don't get me wrong, you get what you pay for in this world and this is not a cheap place. However, the quality is as good as higher-priced steakhouses in the metropolitan area, but Luke's still costs less per entree, and there are NO additional charges for your sides.

It was the most expensive and worst meal I've had thus far this year. The salad was too salty from excess cheese. Usually a place as expensive as this would add cheese or fresh ground pepper at the table. The soup tasted like it came from a can. The calamari left much to be desired. I know the specialty here is steak, but even the steak was not that great. The waitress was nice, but clearly inexperienced. She did not even ask how we wanted our steaks done. Overall, very disappointed, since we drove all the way from east Denver to try it out. Wish we had come during restaurant week, because at least we would've paid less for this meal.

The menu is greatly expanded since the original opening, the additions are great choices. We miss the personal touch Mike used to bring to the dining experience. He knew the regulars by name and if he was there, which he usually was, he always made a point to come by, say hello and make sure you were satisfied with the meal and service.

I have eaten there often and maybe years apart, but always beats my expectations Unfortunately for me you are located across town and although the ride is about forty five minutes it is never disappointing. Have had birthday dinners and friend get together, and always have the greatest food and service. The price point is very good when compared with other steak places, such as Morton's, Shanahan's, Elway's Ruth Crisp, and many others that I have been to Luke's is always the best. Thank you for not changing, and stay just as you are a friendly place to have a great meal and most importantly, the best dinning experienc

Sincerely, this place has to have one of the best ribeye steaks this side of downtown. Other items on the menu are also delectable, however to find a well seasoned juicy ribeye west of downtown, for an affordable price? Now, that's a rarity. Plus, the service was excellent! Wouldn't think you could find a quality five star restaurant in a strip mall of i-70. Guess you can't judge books by their covers :-) Will definitely be visiting again!
