This was my second time at Lucky's. It was raining, so it was very busy indoors. Quite loud and very hot, as the fires were roaring.
Service was, as usual, excellent. Food is always OK, not something that sends me into rapture, and not really worth such high prices. But you don't really go to Lucky's for the food!

We split the steak (they happily gave us different sauces) and had leftovers - salads and sides were amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection (usually "medium" is overcooked). Souffle to die for! Formal ambiance - but friendly staff. Will definitely go again for a special occasion.

The steak was cooked to perfection, the hollandaise being its only real competition. I have to agree with Iron Chef Cat Cora: Best New York Strip Steak ever! The sides and salad would have been standouts in a any other restaurant, but here, they are left in the dust by the main course. What can I say about the service? They were friendly and knowledgeable and successfully let the food define the experience.

Brought some friends to dinner for a relaxing evening. Waitress pushed an unknown Pinot. The wine was unpleasant and bad. Restaurant rectified and provided another Pinot from another winery. Had a complaint from our guest that the woman's bath room was a mess. The main issue was that the short ribs were not tasty. Stringy and fatty. Pecan pie was bland. We go frequently and for the price really expect a special evening. We could have had this OK meal for a fraction of the price.
