The show was hilarious; I haven't laughed that hard at dinner, well, ever.
The groups around us were fun, and the food was delicious. I wasn't expecting for the food to be as good as it was because it's more of a touristy/novelty spot, but I was pleasantly surprised. You get to hang with "the girls" they are very nice and social! Other reviews say the food isn't good- the food is great- get the vegetable spring rolls, the crab rolls, and the tuna-These are especially good- Drinks are fabulous also!The show is amazing-they are sooo talented- It was a great time- We took our son's (as a surprise)to celebrate one of our son's 26th birthday. The food was better when lucky chengs used to be downtown. The show is still great. The "Ladies" are still energetic and very entertaining.
I'm a sound engineer by trade and their sound systems needs to be much better. It needs to be "re-tuned" It was definitely loud enough but the quality was too "tin-ny" its need to have more bass.
Overall I was still able to have a great night with my gang. Paulina and The "Japanese B*&^tch" were the best MC's!!!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place!The food was good. The only downside is the food. Its just horrible - and you're mandated to order from menu. These "ladies" put on a great show and the MC was especially funny and entertaining. I did not know what to expect since it was my first drag show but these ladies did not disappoint. We weren't sure at first where the show was going to happen but then eventually realized it's an interactive dining experience. The food wasnt that great but the entertainment makes up for it. My four girlfriends and I were celebrating my 44th birthday. We had reservations for the Saturday 5:30pm show and one by one we showed up late. I was the first to be tardy and was greeted by Coco, the bartender and her bullhorn in my face I might add. "B your late and so is the rest of your party! But your necklace is Fierce!" FREAK'N HILARIOUS!!! She made me a birthday cocktail and the hostess sat me at my table. Eventually my girls showed up and our server Bree was very accommodating. The show was Great! The food was SURPRISINGLY Delicious! This is a great place for a celebration. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT KID FRIENDLY. The staff and entertainers are all drag queens who use colorful languange and adult humor. The atmosphere is loud and crowded but is really fun. There were several bachelorette parties going on there but it is just as appropriate for a birthday or anniversary party. Did I mention the food is excellent? The dinner is prix fixe at $40 with other options for small surcharges. Service was a bit slow but you won't notice with everything going on. A bunch of us went to Lucky Cheng's to celebrate my 40th birthday and it was perfect. The only downfall was they seated us upstairs. When your upstairs, you aren't part of the show and you really can't see much. We still had a great time and the staff was wonderful. We had our own comfy couch for picture taking. The food was good, a little salty but we didn't go there for the food. We went for the entertainment which was very good and fun to watch. The food was okay, but we didn't care, too busy watching the show. Be warned that the food is WAY overpriced, but the drinks are good and strong. The only disappointment was our "bride" didn't get any special attention, which we were hoping for. The waitresses are spectacular and the performers are really engaging. My only complaint is the pricing isn't honest. They promote a $40 3-course choice which is pretty darn reasonable, except they end up charging you for one of those courses. This kind of event is really more appropriate for a group, although we went as a couple and it wasn't a problem. We shared several of their mixed drink bowls.
Unfortunately they brought our entrees before our appetizers, which was a little weird (apparently they brought the apps to the wrong table). But they quickly brought new apps out and comped us a shot and an additional drink bowl.
