Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen - GreensboroYummy!!The food was fresh and delicious! We ordered the Kentucky Ribeye and it was tender and very flavorful. The deviled eggs and ham side was delicious. The Pimento cheese dip appetizer was perfect! We were so stuffed that we didn't get to try a dessert.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOur favorite place for date nightThis is hands-down my and my fiancé's favorite place to go for a special date night out. The food is always fresh and most is locally-grown, and they really know how to pair courses - you simply can't go wrong with the seasonal menu. The wine is also a highlight - we like to start with a tasting flight before choosing what wine to pick for dinner. Always a unique and fun experience.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a favoriteFor a moderate sized city we’ve found Greensboro to have a great selection of outstanding restaurant. Lucky 32 is the one we go to the most often. The focus on the local suppliers, the seasonal menus, and the upscale feeling of the restaurant are great but the key that keeps us coming back is the food and it is always outstanding. They were six of us so I won’t go into details about what we all had but we all enjoyed our dishes and appetizers. The service as always is delivered with professionalism and a touch of southern charm.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent serviceThe sirloin steak I ordered was cooked as ordered, but very tough. The other guests at the table complained about the house salads. They were mostly pieces of tough romaine lettuce and stems, very little else. My buttermilk dressing was a disappointment. The service however, was great.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMKaren runs a "right" shipAttentive staff, good food , its a great outdoor Sunday brunch place!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMSouthern CharmA truly Southern Style eatery specializing in fresh, locally secured meat and produce. Excellent service staff. All very courteous and professional. Great atmosphere combining upscale decor with a warm and friendly touch.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGood but not great food. ManyGood but not great food. Many interesting "southern gourmet" preparations, some of which work and some not so much. Shrimp and grits alone would be fine, while adding spicy sausage seemed a little excessive. The service was outstanding--really nice and accomodating to our specifications.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Dining Experience!Lucky 32 Gets It! This was the best dining experience I've had in quite some time! From booking the reservation to serving quality food to providing stellar customer service, etc. They were on top of it! I live in Charlotte and discovered this restaurant while in Greensboro for a graduation. This place is worth the drive from Charlotte to Greensboro just for a meal. What a great find!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMMemory we won't forget! We visited the Greensboro location to celebrate an intimate family dinner for my husbands 50th birthday. Everyone enjoyed the food and experience so much that we can't wait to visit again!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointed...Lucky 32 has been a fav for a long time and each time we go they never disappoint. The food is always exceptional as are the menu choices, service and atmosphere. For most any occasion you can't go wrong with Lucky 32 - it's an all-around great place to dine at a reasonable price!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a large group celebratingWe had a large group celebrating a special occasion and were thrilled that they took reservations and seated us on time. The service was great, the food was fabulous (loved the seasonal menu). Overall, great experience and would recommend to anyone.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMy favorite Greensboro RestaurantThis is my favorite restaurant in Greensboro. It's among the best in the quality of dishes and their ingredients, and it is by far the best value among those. Chef Jay works in close partnership with local farmers to source ingredients that improve the food, the environment, and the local economy.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely RestaurantVery attractive decor with superior service. Well prepared and affractively plated southern food.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAn incredible mealI was in Greensboro visiting a friend and stumbled upon Lucky 32. In looking at the menu, I was very hopeful that the meal would be memorable. Well the meal was so far beyond that. It was simply one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. My partner & I both had the blue cheese crusted sirloin and it was spectacular. The sides were equally notable. In particular my partner's fried grit cake was something else. The tasso ham gravy that came with it stood out. Every one at the table tried a little taste and we all just raved about it. The chocolate chess pie for desert was a perfect end to a perfect meal. The service was attentive without being cloying. All in all, a wonderful evening. Go here if you can. You'll love it.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLucky 32 is always spot-on,Lucky 32 is always spot-on, with menu selection, quality and taste of food and service. This is where I take work and personal guests when I want them to have a delicious meal with a Southern twist.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMB-day lunch!Loved the relaxed elegance of the atmosphere created by the tablecloths and cloth napkins, the fresh food, and the reasonable prices. Make sure to try the shrimp and grits, and to purchase fresh produce from the "mini produce market" to the left of the front entrance. My companions suggest the catfish and the black bean patties. Our lunch reservations for 1:00 weren't really necessary for that late time, but are strongly suggested if coming before that time. Great b-day lunch.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentWe haven't been to Lucky 32 in years. Gave two employees of a client their choice of restaurants, and landed there. All was very good, we'll return soon.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLucky 32 ReviewWonderful brunch menu served from 11 to 3 on Sundays. Had a marvelous meal! The frittata was great and my Mom ordered a grit cake that was awesome!!! Service was excellent :)5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPretty GoodThey don't have a lot of options for people like me, who can't eat a lot of sodium, but then what restaurant does? The food I did have was good, if a little overpriced. The service was a little bit slow. Atmosphere was great, though! I also love that they have a fresh foods market outside.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day feastEverything was fine from start to finish, dining on the patio is our preference, always great food and we had a competent, personable waiter.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary Dinner to RememberAwesome meal! It is southern style but has a healthy vibe with generous portions and tons of flavor in every bite. We had an appitizer of fried artichokes - to die for! I ordered the delicious Pino wine sampler for $11 - it comes with 4 (half) glasses of 2 Pino Grigio & 2 Pino Noir - all 4 very good!! Also try the red oak beer - it's smooth and light with a hint of sweet. The collard greens were melt in your mouth amazing! We sat in the outside area which was very garden green, pretty and relaxed. We will be back ASAP!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall exceptional diningMaking reservations online was so very easy. Table was ready when we arrived, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Looking forward to our next visit.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAlmost 5 Stars AgainI have eaten at Lucky 32 many times over the years. The service has always been exceptional and the food excellent. This particular visit was less than stellar. Food was great, except for my cold asparagus. But the service was less than I have become accustomed to at QW establishments.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFamily Graduation DinnerWent here to celebrate a college graduation. There was nothing we didn't enjoy-the food or service. Arrived 30 mins early and Lucky 32 was able to accomodate our party of 5.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter With AgeL-32 is still a great place to eat lunch or Dinner. The service, food and pricing make it a great value and a great place to impress a friend or client. Changing the menu around based on the growing season provides great food for everyone.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMwhat a treatwent there for my birthday. sometimes when dining alone the staff tries to overcompensate; this was not the case. i found everything about the restaurant to be a treat - decor, service food and overall atmosphere!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and serviceThis place does not fail when it comes to food, service, and ambiance. Took family members there who were from out of town and they really enjoyed the brunch menu items. Great dining experience.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMReliably great service and foodOne of my favorite restaurants. The menu always has select favorites but the main items change based on seasonal availability. I love being able to see pictures of the seasonal menu on their website.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday dinnerEveryone in our party, except for me had very tasty meals. I believe I just chose the wrong dish since everyone else liked theirs. Service was a bit slow as our waiter was also waiting on two other tables that had about 15-20 in each group. He was pleasant and kind, just slow as the other big parties kept pulling him away from us.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food + Great PeopleMy husband and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary at Lucky 32 this weekend. The food was awesome and the service was perfect - we were even treated to a free dessert for celebrating our anniversary with them. I was very touched with how the staff handled a particular customer, a special needs lady who obviously was a regular. Many members of the staff would stop by and speak to her, check on her and would help her with anything she needed. This was very heartwarming and it says a lot about the staff at Lucky 32. We will definitely be back!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBAR SCENESome friends grabbed us when we arrived and pulled us into the bar area for the terrific band and dinner. The bar scene is still jiving from the arly on years, terrific.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreensboro GemLucky 32 has great cuisine and fantastic ambiance. This gave us a chance to really talk and wish her the best for her furture.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Superb, Never DisappointedWe love Lucky 32 and come here as often as we can. Highly recommend.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and serviceLucky 32 is always a great place to eat. It is attractive and quiet enough to enjoy conversation with my dining partners. I ordered Challah & Squeal with a Fried Grit Cake as the side. It was delicious. The waiter was courteous and knowledgeable. The food arrived hot and was very well prepared.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreensboro's FinestLucky 32 always delivers...excellent food, knowledgeable and friendly wait staff, and warm atmosphere. This is southern cooking at it's finest. Fresh, local ingredients make all the difference in the world. The wait staff are very familiar with the menu as well as the extensive wine and beer list. I always feel welcome and appreciated at Lucky 32.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOnly saw out waitress whenOnly saw out waitress when we placed our order and when she brought the check. She spent her time serving a large group of prom-goers. There was a long delay between when my wife finished her salad and when our entrees were delivered. I thought that our waitress had forgotten to place our entree orders. Food was very good.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNice unique menu. We enjoyedNice unique menu. We enjoyed everything on the menu. Homemade salad dressings, two of us had the house salad with the lemon mustard dressing, yummy. No one in our party of 10 got the same entree, and everyone was pleased. Desserts were also good and interesting combos. Good food, generous portions, excellent service. Would recommend for family, couple, or business dinners. There were a couple of large gatherings of 10 or more, and no one seemed too cramped.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my second time eatingThis was my second time eating at Lucky 32, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered it. My date and I were provided with a private booth away from the larger parties, which let us enjoy our anniversary dinner in blissful peace. Our date was quite romantic with soft, pleasant music playing overhead, warm lighting, and a nice view. Unfortunately, we had to wait a bit between courses for our food to arrive as we stared at empty plates. However, when it did arrive the food was amazing. My catfish was tender and flavorful, my rice was moist, and my fries were cooked perfectly. The beans were a bit dry, but the asparagus was nice. Overall I had a great dining experience and will definitely come again.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had dinner in the grill(bar)We had dinner in the grill(bar) so that we could enjoy the special music of Martha Bassett. Food, service, and music were worth the drive over from Winston-Salem.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was really good and IFood was really good and I enjoyed the Farm to Table connection. Atmosphere was nothing special for the price. Found the "flowers" on the table a laugh...sticks of herbs and not a lot of them.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food and great serviceOur business luncheon at Lucky 32 was very pleasurable. The background music was so clear that it sounded as if it was "live" and our waiter provided us with exceptional service. Good restaurants are hard to find these days, thank you!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMJay Pierce and Lucky 32 hitJay Pierce and Lucky 32 hit a sweet spot of Southern food well prepared and an experience well delivered. Pierce's emphasis on quality local ingredients isn't just for good feeling. We're convinced that Massey Creek eggs and Bradd Family Farm pork are better for the care those farmers exert to deliver quality products.
Our brunch of omelets, pulled pork with eggs on challah and house smoked salmon and poached eggs was delicious and satisfying.
An outstanding chocolate chess pie and three scoops of wonderful Homeland Creamery ice cream along with very good coffee completed our meal.
Although team service generally doesn't feel as warm as personal service, Lucky 32's service team delivered as well.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThree of us went on a veryThree of us went on a very busy Friday night. We made a last-minute reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Wine list was well-priced and had a number of interesting options.
