  • "The atmosphere is great, very modern. I ordered the black bean cakes and they were delicioussss. However, I was a little let down by the whipped sweet potatoes; they could have been better. The fried okra appetizer with the voodoo sauce is great as well. My mom ordered the shrimp and grits and my brother the pulled pork Johnny cakes and both said they were amazing. Overall, great service, ambience and food. Next time I'll try dessert!"

  • "We dine in or order takeout often from Lucky 32. It is our go to restaurant for casual dining. The food quality is consistently very good as is the service. On this evening we had salmon with a salad and mashed sweet potatoes and the tomato stuffed with shrimp, tomato and cucumber salad, French fries and deviled eggs. The sides were fresh and prepared as we like. The generous portion of salmon was excellent. The shrimp stuffed tomato was very good although I don't think I would order the entrée again. The shrimp were very small and simply topped the tomato -it wasn't stuffed. I thought the amount of shrimp was lacking and as such not up to the portions we have come to expect from Lucky 32."

  • "Normally this is one of the best dining experiences in the area but Lucky 32 was off its game the other evening. The food was good - pimento cheese dip with pork skins (cooked too hard to eat) and our salads were fine. But the service was just poor, at least initially. Part of the problem was that the hostess sat us outside, and around in the back corner, next to a family with 2 small children who were left to run amuck and disturb other diners. But we did not get assigned a waiter for 15 minutes - in fact we seem to be ignored, and we were out of sight. Finally, after complaining we did get someone to help us but that never should have happened and set the wrong tone for the dinner. It is going to be a while before we return."

  • "This is one of our neighborhood favorites with very good food and service, and not overpriced. My wife had the salmon and loved it. I'm a fried chicken nut and loved their Wednesday pan-fried chicken special. When our twenty-something grown-up kids are in town they always want to return to Lucky 32. Our daughter loves the meat loaf and our son always gets the extra (free) collards with his order. This place is a reliable winner. Highly recommended."

  • "The menu was paleo friendly and sourced locally. Thee entrees came a little too fast and after a while we felt a bit rushed, but aside from that all was well."

  • "We have been to many restaurants but this one really takes an award! Everything about it is great, service, food, ambience. From the time you step your foot in the door, it is great!"

  • "The restaurant went out of it's way to make our 29th anniversary a treat and the food and service was superb."
    Dined on 8/3/2014
  • "Lucky 32 succeeded in providing a gourmet spin on down-home country staples. The okra dishes (on fried and one with tomatoes and onions) were very good. The blackened trout was tasty but a bit pricey and my wife enjoyed her jumbalaya."

  • "It was our 25th wedding anniversary, mid afternoon before we attended a local show, sticking to their theme of using local ingredients, the food was outstanding, the service top-notch, and the atmosphere. even in mid afternoon was very pleasant. Thanks for the memory!"

  • "My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Lucky 32. We got there early and had drinks at the bar. The cocktails the bartender made were great. The bartender brought us the peaches with goat cheese wrapped in ham. At our table, we ordered the popcorn okra with the voodoo sauce and pimento cheese with pork rinds. Some of the best appetizers I've ever had. For dinner I ordered lamb on johnny cakes. My wife ordered carolina catfish. Both meals were amazing. We will definitely be back."

  • "great place to eat had a reservation for 5:30 good thing I did because there was a wait the service was great and did not have wait for the entrees to arrive"

  • "Our third visit to the Lucky 32 and again an excellent meal. Attentive and friendly service. Interesting southern cuisine with an offbeat flair. The pulled pork on the Johnny cakes, the trout and the okra popcorn were standouts!"

  • "My husband and sister-in-law loved their rib-eye steaks. I sampled it and it was amazing! The seasoning was perfect and it was encased in a lightly charred crusting. mmmmmmm! almost like it came right off the smoker/grill. I had the pulled lamb. It was ok but tasted more like pork. My brother had the fish of the day, trout, which he commented was good. This is our third time at L32 and we have never been disappointed. The selections vary but the quality of the service and food is always top-notch. We will return and take guests."

  • "Lucky32 is a fine restaurant, but keep in mind that it's not a steak house. Rib-eye is the only steak on the menu and is generally a well-marbled cut. In this case, my husband's steak looked to be about 60% fat. The meatloaf was an unremarkable three thin slices of dry meat. The Texas Pete glazed salmon was quite tasty. I would go back, but stick to the seasonal fare section of the menu."

  • "So I am extremely picky about crab cakes and theirs was awesome! Lots of interesting sides too. Wait staff was super, friendly and accommodating. Portions are huge!"

  • "All entrees were very good. Cucumber and tomato salad had too much vinegar. Green beans were limp and soft. Mashed Sweet Potatoes good. Good wine list. Great beer list. Very accommodating with sharing entrees."

  • "This was our 3rd or 4th time eating here. We had been very pleased the previous times we were here. This time, we were here for dinner on Saturday night. Four of us had dinner; each ordered a different dish. The special fish, blackened trout, was really good. No complaints. i had the pork loin. It was dry and tasteless. Another at our table had the shrimp and grits....it was runny. The other person had the jambalaya....it was dry as well. I'm not sure if this was because it was a Saturday night, but it definitely wasn't up to what we were expecting. They were busy, but that isn't an excuse."

  • "Once again Lucky 32 delivered. Outstanding food, outstanding service, etc. I love this place, and would drive a month if I had to, to get a meal from them."

  • "Very enjoyable patio dining with a 6 party family group, including 2 children. Menu variety was a hit with all members of party with widely varying preferences."
    Dined on 7/18/2014
  • "We had requested the patio and were seated there. Unfortunately, our table was the only one in the sun. Once everyone got their sunglasses we were good to go. Had a little bit of an ant issue but I guess you can expect that on occasion when eating outdoors. The food was good as always!"

  • "Would be a great location for first date dinner. Intimate but not secluded seating. Private conversation is easily achieved, but you aren't shuttered away from the "scene". Okra popcorn was an excellent appetizer!"

  • "No liquids served with white rice making it similar to cement. Placed fork vertical in it and it retained it upright."

  • "The creative and fresh menu is the highlight of this great setting. A consistently great wait staff is the one area of opportunity, which is hit or miss and was a miss this time. We will return though and look forward to another great mean!"

  • "We've eaten here many time in 10 yrs. this dinner we will remember. Huge storm came thru while we were dining. When we went to leave w/o an umbrella we noticed they had a young man running around w 2 huge umbrellas bringing & taking customers to /from their cars. He was so pleasant even though he was soaked completely but still smiling. On to the food: great as usual. We usually try something from their seasonal menu & something from their more permant menu. Never disappointed."

  • "A sister restaurant to the one in Gboro I actually prefer this one. It's convenient to Koka Booth to eat or drink before or after a show. Great food. Good menu. Reasonably priced."

  • "I like Lucky 32's seasonal menu that changes every 6 weeks. The food quality is consistently very good as is the service."

  • "Lovely, accommodating staff - efficient service, varied menu, clean, HOT coffee (yea!). The signature corn bread is like a soft snack cake; I prefer southern cornbread - crispy from a skillet - without sugar, but this dish is still a treat, not too sweet good with coffee. Next visit, I'd like to try some of the sides (like pinto beans and chow chow & mac & cheese). I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet with hash browns. It was ok, a little too many bacon bits - big enough portion for a couple of lumberjacks; I would have preferred half the size and 1/4 of the bacon and cheese. Overall, a enjoyable dining experience."

  • "Being disappointed with Lucky 32 was an exception. We asked to be seated outside and was given a table in the sun and in front of a fan. After noticing that a table became available in the shade and away from the fan, I requested to the host that we be moved. Unfortunately, it appeared to be an inconvenience for the host and our party of four were made somewhat uncomfortable with the request. We were moved, although reluctantly, to the available table. The waiter was very accommodating but the host was bothered. The food is normally excellent, but the pork tenderloin was anything but tender. Even when we took the leftovers home, we had to discard it because it was too tough. The rest of the order was excellent."

  • "I've heard great things about Lucky 32 but the meal missed the mark. The Cuke/Avocado soup had great promise but a harsh aftertaste with too much cilantro. The ABC of hash and pulled chicken had no flavor at all (my wife called it boring). The waitress brought out some voodoo sauce at my request which saved the dish. I ordered the Mexican chocolate with prickly pear only to discover no pear (sorry the pink "pear" sauce on the plate did little to flavor the dish). So it was really just chocolate cake with ice cream and a fancy name. I assume the brunch cooks are following recipes and not tasting the results."

  • "Great variety for a southern style menu-accommodated the widely varying tastes of 8 guests including A near Paleo eater. Brought own birthday cake which server held in kitchen, then added candles, provided plates. Very accommodating, pleasant, pro service. All guests very pleased."

  • "Three of the four of us ordered from the seasonal menu and all of the dishes were delicious, but the best that we had were the pulled lamb and the crab cakes. The sides are all so good it's hard to choose, but the sweet potatoes, the mac & cheese, and the corn pudding are stand-outs in my opinion. Looking forward to our next visit. I might just have all of the sides."

  • "The food and service were fabulous. They try to use local products when possible. You can taste the freshness with each bite. The service was great as well, we never had an empty glass which is always a plus for me. The desserts were AWESOME!! Their seasonal peaches and cream unbelievable. I also want to mention it was pouring rain this evening and there was a wonderful young lady greeting guests at their vehicles with and umbrella! What great customer service!"

  • "A variety of items served for brunch.... all that I saw looked absolutely delicious. My vegetarian omelet was outstanding. The perk was getting to order a "side" with the brunch item, and the pintos and chow-chow were a favorite. I would have loved seconds. Our waiter was very attentive and kept our coffee cups filled. Loved it."

  • "I came to dinner on July 4th for dinner and also to park in the lot near the fireworks. My companion and I had a lovely dinner. I had the Local Lamb on Johnny Cakes with the hickory-smoked Border Springs lamb on Johnny cakes with Carolina peach chutney and grilled onions. The lamb was delicious with the chutney. My companion was not as pleased with the meatloaf which she said was more like a pate. We shared the Peaches & Cream housemade vanilla custard with wedges of ripe peaches and cinnamon-scented sorghum syrup for dessert. The custard and peaches were delicious. I could have done with out the sorghum syrup, but my friend liked it. By the time we were finished, it was nearly time for the fireworks!"

  • "All of the food has been good over the years. At times the portions seem small and maybe lack of items like the garden salad no tomatoes cucumber or much beside spinach. But overall food is good and we leave full."
