Everyone loved the food and the ability to bring your own wine. The corkage fee is reasonable as well. All in all....a delightful evening.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLucio'sThis is the best BYOB in Houston. You can also purchase wine and beer there. The food is excellent with sea bass, tuna, filet of beef, vegetarian. Setting is an remodeled old home on Taft near downtown but walls have contemporary art pieces updated periodically. Outdoor patio is very contemporary and fun! Loved the scallops and risotto!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went with a group of 6We went with a group of 6 and we were there on the early side. The restaurant was not busy and staff was attentive
We all love BYOB! Everyone enjoyed their dinner and we all raved about the calamari appetizer Try the crab cakes too!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife & needed a quiet eveningMy wife & needed a quiet evening together, & we got it! Our food was fantastic (highly recommend the crab tower and duck dishes!). Service was perfect. Always there when we needed her but not all over us. We'll be back!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat findWe had an enjoyable dinner. We sat outside and the food was delicious.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe always have a wonderfulWe always have a wonderful dinner here, and love that it's byob. The patio is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner for two. The service is top notch and good is amazing. We love the ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes as well as the filet as our favorite dishes.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMNiceFood was all well prepared and thoughtfully presented. Great option for a restaurant of this quality that they allow you to BYOB. But be aware-the kitchen is small and can be easily overwhelmed. Just be prepared if you're there in the main dinner hour, some wait for your food may be involved. But also keep in mind as you wait, that for an $8 corkage, you're able to sip on your $100 bottle of wine that would be $300 elsewhere on a wine list and you'll be happy with your plate when it arrives.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful DinnerMy book club met there for dinner and we were seated outside as we had requested. Everything was great. We were not rushed at all and we had a leisurely, lovely dinner. The food and service were great.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWine and food make the mealMore restaurants like this that provide a superior dining experience while charging a fair corkage fee to bring in your own wine. The food is inventive with unique ingredients and the waitstaff explains the dishes in a thorough enthusiastic manner. We enjoy and collect great wine so being able to pair it with wonderful food is a treat. We'll be back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMust in HoustonLucio's has become a personal favorite during my visits to Houston and a favorite for those that have taken my recommendation and tried for themselves.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe crab tower was not veryThe crab tower was not very fresh. Pork chop with prosciutto was overcooked and dry. A very loud table of 10+ in the other room made for a ruckus atmosphere.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe three people in my partyThe three people in my party each had a different fish entree. We shared tastes and agreed all three were delicious - fresh, flavorful & cooked just right. We also enjoyed the wasabi mashed potatoes & home made pastas - one with lobster & one with butternut squash. Calamari was light & crispy. All in all a very good meal in pleasant comfortable atmosphere4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed our diningWe really enjoyed our dining experience and were pleased to find that they now serve wines by the bottle and glass! Having only brought a bottle of red it was nice to purchase a white to enjoy with the lighter appetizer we chose.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMI recommend this place.Loved the outside patio for dining. Loud inside. The food was great.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Calamari in Houston!Best Calamari in Houston! Best Waiter: Melvin. Always nice to be remembered. Salads right out of the garden!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat birthday dinnerI made reservations for 6 people (who turned out to be 7). The staff was very kind in helping us fit in another person at the last minute in a VERY crowded place. The food was great and the service was even better.
Tip: If the weather's nice, sit outside.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed the atmosphere. RestaurantEnjoyed the atmosphere. Restaurant staff was super - we sat a long time enjoying the wine we brought and the staff did not pester us (like I have experienced at other restaurants). Food was very food - I enjoyed the Pear Salad and Filet - desserts were also great - Brownie for my date and creame brule for me!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat to have a place to bringGreat to have a place to bring our own wine and have excellent food. The tomato salad with green tomatoes was fabulous. Crab stack was delicious..which it had been a taller stack. Loved the touch of the red Himalayan salt. Tuna and sturgeon done just right.
Went there before going to the theater and had lots of time. Location is excellent to get into downtown quickly.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMCute little placeCute place with good food. Melvin is an excellent waiter. We like to be able to take our own wine. Scallops with butternut squash was good, and Panna Cotta was excellent. Special of sea bass was $45 which I thought was too much.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMRestaurant Matches Museums' QualityArriving from Hobby in the midst of rush hour during the holidays, we were lucky to find this little sanctuary that allowed us to drink our own wine accompanied by imaginative appetizers and entrees. The valet helped us park our suitcase-laden car securely, the waitstaff warmly welcomed us, and the chef made the Mapquest journey worthwhile. This is a quality bistro rivaling Houston's art museums12/7/2012 12:00:00 AM
