Diner Reviews
  • "love this place -- especially the house salad with bleu cheese and sesame seeds! Great brunch too! But why is it that y'all have the crummiest flatware of any good restaurant? All my friends comment and complain..... it truly does diminish the dining experience to have such lousy thin utensils."

  • "the burgers are still delicious, and the salad dressing is awesome....service is very good indeed."

  • "I went to Lucille's with my family for brunch and everything was delicious! We had mimosas and I had the crab Benedict. Delicious!"

  • "Enough menu choices to please everyone. Family-friendly, great service, delicious food. A bit noisy for a romantic dinner."

  • "Great comfort food! The most incredible beignets! The last time we had beignets that melt-in-your-mouth and wonderful, we were in New Orleans. For these Californians, this was a taste of great southern hospitality and southern comfort food in a warm and fun environment. We will be coming back!"

  • "Well worth the drive from Dallas. My spouse had been to Lucile's once before and wanted to go back. A varied menu offers a good selection of entrees, including sea food, steaks, chicken, pasta and salads. The shrimp and andouie sausage boil looked wonderful and was enjoyed by my spouse. Our friend had the chicken-fried steak, which is what I am getting the next time. I went for the angel hair pasta with the grill salmon. It was perfect. A full bar includes a decent wine list, all at very reasonable prices."

  • "Great food and service but prices for this neighborhood bistro have gone way up serving the same food from 15 yrs ago. $15 angel hair plain noodles really? cup of bisque $7 steak or fish specials at $28 and $32 is way over priced for what this place is. A good solid 3 star restaurant that has been around for ever. If you weren't drinking martinis then 2 people used to get out for under $40-45 with tip but now your looking at $75-80+? a bit priced out for a quick week night dinner and I guess it's now a special occasion place but would probably choose another spot for the price vs what you get. Will miss you Lucile's!"

  • "Server was prompt and attentive. I had cioppino; was one of the best I have ever had! Homemade salad dressing was outstanding."

  • "We took our daughter to celebrate her birthday. She has fond memories of special diners at this usually consistent restaurant. They were very busy and had to wait on table even with reservation. My daughter ordered the Lobster (one of their daily specials/catch of the day). Lobster was over-cooked and we sent it back. My wife and I finished our meals, still no Lobster. My daughter approached sought out the manager and asked him to cancel the order. We found it strange, that he never came to our table. Went to another restaurant for desert."

  • "This is a great restaurant to go to before shows at Casa. We had 6:15 reservations. We ate and made our 8:00 show with time to spare."

  • "Salad and burgers...a great choice.....done just the way we like them! Their wine list is terrific as well. A nice casual evening. The server (Kelly) was delightful."

  • "We went to Lucile's with another couple the day after Valentine's and had a great time. The food is always great and the atmosphere is lively but not loud, the decor is appealing and the service is good. We definitely will keep returning to Lucile's."

  • "We dont go as frequently as we wish, but we have really never had a bad meal. You can see that this kitchen takes pride in what they serve. Its nice to know someone cares how the meals come out of their kitchen."

  • "This was my first experience at Lucile's. The food was great and the service was equally great. It is a little pricy for lunch, in my opinion but I was able to find something that fit my budget and was fantastic. I definitely plan to return."

  • "Sevice was friendly but very slow. We went for lunch and the place did not seem very busy. However, it took a fair ammount of time to get our food after our order was placed. I would a lot more time should I decide to got back for lunch."

  • "This was our second time here and it was OK at best. It could have been they were slammed for Valentine's Day, but other than that, it was OK. I would go back, but probably not often."

  • "This seems to be a popular place with locals, but we found the food to be pretty average, especially for the price. Not bad, but nothing special. Certainly a safe bet if there's nothing else available, but we won't go out of our way to stop by again."

  • "Food is good and served quickly. A very nice dinner for under a $100 including wine and drinks."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Our dinner was not quite what we had expected but since we have been to Lucilles many times before with great results, we figure that it was because it was Valentine's Day and much more crowded than usual. Both of our entrees were overcooked a bit."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Get the breakfast pasta. It's not on the menu anymore but they still make it. Yum."

  • "We chose Lucille's because our regular restaurant in Fort Worth discontinued their open table points. Although Lucille's is a longer drive from our home and the theater, we are glad that we made the decision to try them. We really enjoyed our food and our cocktail. We will definitely return frequently."

  • "We have been to Lucille's several times for dinner and based on our excellent experiences, were looking forward to trying them out for breakfast. I figured any restaurant that does such extraordinary, unique, and special dinner entrees would have incredible breakfast/brunch offerings as well. I'm sorry to say we were very disappointed. The omelets and waffles were nothing special and I'm pretty sure the corned beef hash was straight out of the can.The service was very slow even though we were there well ahead of the 'after church' crowd. We will definitely return to Lucille's for dinner, but it is off our list of breakfast places to visit!"

  • "This place always is busy and there seems like good buzz. My wife and I were not impressed. Service was slow and the food was bland. On the plus side they handled our reservation great. We walked in and were seated immediately."

  • "Our previous trips to Lucille,s was good. The prime rib was great. Both my husband and I had the prime rib. Thin pieces of tough meat. Not true prime rib."

  • "Our family met for brunch on Sunday after making reservations. The food was good and the atmosphere was friendly. The children in our group enjoyed their visit as well. It was a great place to meet together with family members. We had a positive experience."

  • "As always the food was great and the service was prompt and courteous. For special occasion's I highly recommend a reservation. When you get there they work the reservations very quickly and even when it appears that they are very crowded you get seated in a short time. When you reserve your time be sure to ask for a "window table" this will get you a table on the edge of the hustle and bustle that can be the center of the most traffic. The prime rib on Friday and Saturday is outstanding as is their brunch."

  • "Excellent choice! Friends from work were excited to eat at Lucille's...many of them first timers! Great food, we were not rushed and had time to visit and try different menu items. Will definitely take a group there again."

  • "We came to celebrate my daughter's b-day. We ordered and about fifteen minutes later I was told they didn't have enough Prime Rib for the 14oz that I ordered, but could do an 8oz So settled for filet mignon instead, second choice. It was good but not what I wanted. Just as well because my wife had the 8oz Prime Rib and it had ribbons of grissle running through it. She ate about half of it. As for my filet mignon, it was okay, not a great cut but the flavor was good. To be fair, my daughter had a burger, maybe the best she's ever had, her words. I'm glad because it was her birthday. But hey, how do you mess up a burger. We'll be back, but next time, Lucile's may be my second choice of where to eat."

  • "Food and service is consistently good. Noise level can get a bit loud especially if seated in middle section of restaurant. Every member of my group stated that they enjoyed their food. Chicken fried steak is a must if one has not had it before."
