Diner Reviews
  • "Another wonderful meal, never disappointing. Tried the bacon wrapped dates for the first time, made me want to try all the appetizers. Service was also outstanding, as usual."

  • "Several visits confirm that this lovely Northern Italian is the real deal in a fine dining restaurant-starved area. Servings are generous, servers polite and attentive, room is comfortable, and the chef clearly knows what he's doing. Sauces are full-flavored, toothsome house-made pastas are delightful, entrees well seasoned and expertly prepared. Lucia's has become our go-to place for a pleasant evening's dining."

  • "I went here for dinner with my husband, and three teens. The bread served with dipping oil-delicious! I had an appetizer of gnocchi with lobster and it was yummy. My entree was filet mignon with gorgonzola and a red wine demi-glaze served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and haricot verts. I loved it. I also tried my daughter's chicken piccata with polenta that had pancetta in it and it was SO GOOD. The only negative was the waitress was a little slow and and didn't offer drinks to the kids...which was kind of weird. We all had water already but we all kind of chuckled about it. Not a deal breaker of course, I would definitely go back. The waitress may have been very busy or was distracted for some reason."

  • " What a gem in Ayer! Atmosphere, drinks, food, dessert, were fabulous. Bread is better than any I had in Italy ... Would recommend it highly and will tell all my friends. Cannot wait to go back."

  • "Traveled to Mass. for business and was looking for a good italian place to dine. I use Open Table al the time to find places to dine and then book - very eazy. Lucia's was a good find for Italian food. Being from NJ (Southern NJ) you cannt get any better Italian food so that is what I compare it to. Lucia's was very homely, the service was very good, and the food was good Italian. I would definitely go back agian and would recommend. Oh, the price is about right as well. It was a very good find. Thnak you Open Table once again."

  • "A first time experience with Lucia's, but it will not be the last. Warm, friendly atmosphere; interesting menu with a great choice. Our dining partners needed gluten free which was wonderfully available. The wait staff was courteous and affable and went out of their way to accommodate us. An all around hit out of the ball park."

  • "This is our favorite place to treat ourselves to celebrate a special occasion. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. The wait staff make you feel special and are very attentive(but not overwhelmingly so). We espically love the lobster and gnocci appetizer!! The atmosphere is very relaxing. There is a wide veriety of items on the menu and there is something for everything for everyone. I would absolutely recommend Lucias's Tavola in Ayer, MA highly!!!"

  • "Lucia's Tavola is the perfect place to have a first date! We found the restaurant to be quaint. We got there early, before our reservation and we were seated immediately. The wine list had just what we were looking for on it. The menu was a little over-bearing but our server Matt helped us through our difficulties. Service was top-notch! The food was prepared to our specification and was delicious. As I said we got there early, so there was only a hand full of other people in the restaurant. By the time we were done the place was full, but we didn't realise it till we looked around to see them. The atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. Recommendations ALL AROUND from these food critics."

  • "I've been to Lucia's three times and each time the food was outstanding. The food is special and the tastes and flavors different then any other restaurant. In a word, it's special. Friday and Saturday nights the restaurant is busy and the service a little slow. Appetizers and Meals are wonderful. The deserts are not quite the same level. They are good, but not outstanding and special like the rest of the meal."

  • "It was our first time at Lucia's, and it was a very good experience. We will definitely be back. As a beer lover, slightly more than wine lover, I was pleasantly surprised to learn there was tap of the first keg brewed by Ayer's new Brewery. It was called Still Water IPA. It was not only a good beer, it was nice to see the restaurant support other local businesses. I did not order wine, but the list did look impressive. Our meals of surf & turf and Egg Plant were very good. The egg plant dish did not come with any pasta, so you'll have to order on the side if you want that. There was a slight delay on a couple things and our waiter pro-actively comped us a couple items which was nice. The waiter was very professional. We left happy."
