  • "Everytine I've been to Luciano's, I have been impressed. The roasted tomato oil with the bread before the meal is addictive. Can't wait to go back!!!"

  • "My husband and I tried Luciano's during restaurant week, and we had a 5-star experience. What impressed us the most was the impeccable service. Everyone from the hostess to the manager were all so nice. First class, yet no pretentious attitude. We loved the dipping sauce they provide with the bread! It was a step up from the usual. Also, I must mention the drinks. They were awesome. Thumbs up to the bartender! We will definitely go back."

  • "We tried Luciano's during restaurant week. The decor was the first thing I noticed -- soft white and elegant. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Fabulous service, helpful and knowledgable about the menu, courteous. Every course that we had was wonderful. I had the pork -- flattened and pan fried with rocket salad. The salad was so fresh with just a hint of dressing and the pork was crispy and moist, just perfect. The rest of my party had the beef tenderloin and they all enjoyed their meal as well. You MUST have dessert! I had the peanut butter bombe (may not be the right name..) and it was incredible. We didn't have to raise our voices to talk or strain to hear each other. The lighting enabled me to see the menu."

  • "We tried this restaurant as part of a 'restaurant week' event. Great food. At first I did not think I would like the 8 oz. Beef Tenderloin - roasted fingerling potatoes, mushroom Marsala cream sauce because I am not much for mushrooms but it was awesome. I really think there was more than 8 oz of meat there. I had to leave a couple of bits so I could save room for dessert. I had the Peanut Butter Bomba for dessert...Great choice. I felt this was pricey ($30.00 for 3-courses per person) but I usually never eat 3 courses. We did have the option to order from the menu but chose not to. Ordering off the menu is cheaper but we wanted to taste everything. Next time I will skip the appetizer so I will have room for entree and dessert."

  • "The food was beyond awesome, unfortunately our waiter thought our permanent tans meant we were not "well rounded" and felt the need to speak to us as if we arrived on the short bus..."

  • "We experiment with new restaurants during 'Restaurant week' to find one that we've never been to and see what they can do. At Luciano's we hit pay dirt. They had a great pre-fix menu which demonstrated some breadth and accommodated the tastes of our group. All were very pleased. We'll be back."

  • "We went to Luciano's for the first time during restaurant week. The 4 of us ordered from the $30 menu. The arancini appetizer was delicious, and both desserts (nutella panna cotta and peanut butter bomba) were very good. However, 2 main course selections (stuffed salmon and beef tenderloin marsala) were both ok and the pork chop Milanese was very tough. The two diners who ate the pork chop struggled through the tough meat but I would not have been able to eat it. We did let the waiter know about the pork chop, but no apology or explanation from the manager or chef. Nice wine list. We had a delicious Mettler zinfandel."

  • "Food was fantastic - a twist on traditional Italian. Bold sauce flavors compliment the perfectly cooked seafood creating a a stand out dish. Definitely going back."

  • "The restaurant accommodated my request for a quiet spot, and seated us in the private dining room. We started off by sharing an order of the calamari fritti, which was light and tasty. My husband had the gorgonzola crusted filet mignon, which was very flavorful and so tender it cut like butter. I had the chicken piccata, which was excellent. It was pounded thin, and was tender- not overcooked. My son had the eggplant parmigiana and said it was the best he'd ever had. He loved the sauce. The desserts were also a big hit. My husband had the tiramisu, I had the chocolate gelato, and my son had the brownie ala mode. Service was top notch. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes."

  • "Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere inside and out, good food, attentive waiter, we walked there from Dilworth neighborhood. We'd go again for sure!"

  • "Our first visit to Luciano's was very nice. The antipasto plate was very generous and good. The sole meuniere was excellent as was the veal marsala. The nightly special, a seafood combination pasta, was also very good. The lamb shank was well-prepared and tasty. We did not have dessert. The only slight hiccup was bringing a salad before we were finished with the antipasto."

  • "We came to have dinner and celebrate a friend's last night out as a "single lady". Our dining experience could not have been any better. First of all, our waiter, Nate, made us laugh, and was very attentive to us. He even indulged us when we asked him to call LeeAnn's fiancé to tell him how lucky he is to be marrying her!! The food and wine were both outstanding and the atmosphere was elegant. They even offer a gluten-free menu which was important to one of friend's who has Celiac's disease. Plus, the restaurant is conveniently located next to the light rail system, which we rode into uptown Charlotte afterwards. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this place and will definitely go back."

  • "Went to Luciano's with a couple friends from work. None of us had ever been there so didn't know what to expect. Had a great meal. The beef carpaccio was a big portion, plenty to share with some flash-fried capers that were a nice touch. I had Salmon with asparagus that was fantastic. One friend had veal picatta and the other had the rib-eye. We shared and all were very tasty. For dessert we had a dark chocolate brownie with ice cream and it was also great. I highly recommend this place."

  • "My girlfriend and I went to Luciano's on Saturday night 6/28/14. The service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive and prompt. The food was also very good. When a large party was seated next to us, the manager came by our table to ask us if we would like to move to another table. Overall I was very impressed. Good wine list, good food, nice ambiance and great service."

  • "This was our first visit to this restaurant. It's easy to find off the corner of South Blvd. and East Blvd. next to Sullivan's Steakhouse. The interior appearance is stunning and felt very upscale, yet casual. The menu is diverse with something for everyone and the prices were very resasonable. This will definitely be on our list of favorites now that we have been there. Enjoy!"

  • "We went with out teenage kids on a Saturday night for the first time and were very pleased with Luciano's. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food was excellent. Our server, Paul, was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great selections. Apparently the owner also owns a meat shop and the steak I had was cooked to perfection and so good. My husband had the orecchiette and cleaned his plate!! My daughters had the lasagna and loved it. My younger son found his favorite chicken nuggets on the kids menu. We are definitely coming back for a grown-up night!"

  • "This was our third time at Luciano's. They were very accommodating with seating us inside, as we brought guests for their first visit and wanted them to enjoy the beautiful dining room , rather than sit on the porch. The food was excellent…especially the octopus appetizer and the linguine vongole, which is not on the menu, but usually available. The experience is even more enjoyable with the attentive service of Ronald, whom we have requested since our first visit."

  • "It is not our first time eating at Luciano's, but definitely our first time ordering from their new menu, our visit start with a very good cocktail at the bar and then we sat at a table which we got taken care of by the same person (Ronald) that is the name of the guy who took care of us that evening, he did an awesome job we order the Dover Sole and a Frutti de Mare dish which he did an incredible job debone it for me and at the end of our meal he brought us a wet napkin and lemon to clean our hands since we both were eating shellfish, overall it was a great dinner at Luciano's but I have to admit that this time we enjoyed more than the previous time. Thank you once again Luciano's and Ronald for an amazing night"

  • "Nicer than a quick sandwich place, but not so nice (or slow) that it feels like more of an imposition than a treat for lunch. 3 course lunch special was a good value, food was great, service was friendly -- great spot. Self-parking could be a little tricky if things were busy, but valet parking was offered."

  • "We used to go to Luciano's in Alpharetta on a regular basis before we left the city. And the CLT location has picked up where that left off with the same menu. The carpaccio sets a standard and the bread with dipping sauce is without compare."

  • "My wife and I went for a date night. First time dining there. Food, atmospher, noise level, all very good. Our waiter, Alberto, I think is his name , very attentive and polite. We enjoyed the meal very well. I suggest going after dark if having an evening meal. Lighting in main dining room is very well done."

  • "Our first visit at Luciano's for brunch was a smashing success, all four of us raved about the food, wine and service. The second was a bit less. My husband's pasta Alfredo was dry rather than creamy while my capellini were drowning in tomato sauce. The gelato was grainy and more like sorbet than ice cream. So with regret I must tone down my earlier enthusiasm."

  • "In town on business and looking for a good Italian restaurant. Thanks to OT found it in Lucianos. Great atmosphere in trendy area of Charlotte and food was incredible. Even better it was a Wednesday night and all bottles of wine (great selection) were 50% off! Would highly recommend a visit. "

  • "After looking for a great dinner spot, we found this on opentable and tried it out. The restaurant had a somewhat upscale feel but relaxed and the prices were very good for the quality of food. The food came out perfectly and in large portions. Will definitely go back when in the neighborhood. "

  • "The restaurant has a shared parking deck directly off south boulevard that makes it really accessible. Upon entering the restaurant I was really impressed by the modernization of the restaurant and ambiance. We had a Spanish waiter that was very knowledge of the menu and made some great recommendations! He periodically came back to check on us throughout our dinner. I had a wedge salad with ranch peppercorn dressing and the Suppi de Mare for the entree. It is a seafood stew accompanied by the fish of the day which was sea bass. For desert they gave me a special treat for my Birthday, a chocolate jello custard and I also ordered some doughnuts stuffed with Nutella. Overall the experience was great and I would come back again."

  • "Visited for the first time to interview a candidate. Exceptional service and the ambience reminded me of a few restaurants in Sardinia. I've always enjoyed various seafood pastas, a hit or miss in Italian restaurants throughout the U.S. The Calamari Fritti was light and delicious; however, the Shrimp Fra Diavolo was average. If it were not for the nice size and fresh tasting shrimp and Calamari, I probably would have rated my dish average. "

  • "All food was "light", favorable & plentiful. Different from other "heavy", "big room" buffets, very good for the light eaters & the "beasts" in the group. The "greeter" was cordial (& very pretty), the server was prompt, informative & competent & despite the relatively small size of the room, the food was presented very well & no lines to fight through. However, serving spoons & tongs for the food warmers were caked with the entree & some were missing. Recommend some other way of keeping the utensils clean & available. Other than that, my wife enjoyed the event & thought the food was GREAT! Thank you for a very good experience! "

  • "I took my family to the Mother's Day Brunch. We had a fabulous meal. They had plenty of food and choices. There was something for everyone. It was not an endless buffet as I've seen in the past, but what they had was excellent. I was able to get everything I wanted. I noted a few things such as crab legs were gone relatively early. I had mushroom ravioli, lobster tail, salad and raw oysters. Tenderloin was available and looked great. Kids loved the macaroni and cheese. My wife and Mother-in-law, most importantly, were really happy with brunch and the overall experience."
