Very good food with friendly, attentive service. A more casual and noisy atmosphere so better suited for casual dinner with friends, sharing a very nice wine list. Later in the evening (after 9 pm) the screaming kids cleared out and it was a more romantic atmosphere.

The dim lighting and and very nice decor makes for a romantic dinner. Veal Marsala was excellent as well as the Tiramisu. A little pricey but worth it. Service was prompt. For a Saturday night did not seem that busy. We will be back.

This is a wonderful dining experience and the ambience can't be duplicated. It is becoming our go-to spot for lunch. Super food and friendly, professional staff. Dining is wonderful in the evening, too. A 'must do' and recommend it to everyone. A great addition to the CLT restaurant scene.

The menu is good and the food well prepared. Even though we had one of the more private tables, the noise level was still distracting. It wasn't from loud patrons, just poor acoustics. I would recommend it for the good Italian food, but probably won't go back as I prefer a quieter venue where I don't have to raise my voice to have a conversation.

My coworkers and I were visiting Gastonia, NC and were searching for an Italian restaurant and this one was the first one that popped up. This was the best choice ever. The experience was absolutely wonderful. When we arrived they located the reservation and seated us immediately. The ambiance was wonderful. There was even outdoor seating. Our waiter really knew the menu and was able to answer questions as well as make great recommendations. The vegetable soup and tomato bisque soups were excellent according to my colleagues, as well as the spaghetti and meatballs. I ordered Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken AND shrimp and it was the best hands down that i have ever tasted. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I have lived in Charlotte for over 20 years and had never eaten at Luciano's, but we had an anniversary dinner there recently and my wife and I both loved it. We will definitely go back and bring others with us. The food was great and the service was top-notch. You should definitely check it out.

We went with another couple on a Sunday night. Calamari must have come out of the freezer-not good. Nice ambiance, but the menu is nothing special and why would a fall item, like butternut squash ravioli, be on the menu year round? Since this is a chain (isn't everything in Charlotte?) it has that cookie cutter feel to menu and execution. The desserts came out of the freezer too. Should have gone to Sullivan's right across the parking lot.

Went to eat on Wednesday at lucianos with a friend of mine we sat at the patio our server was Ronald a very knowledgeable person that help us through out our visit every time we need him since it was half price bottles of wine we order one white and a red to share with my friend which by the way Ronald help us choosing from their menu because they have a very nice/long list of different wines and it was kind of hard to choose from. We order a frutti di mare which it has all tipe of seafood served with a bed of pasta while my friend order a pasta special that they were serving that day our whole experience was incredible and most of that was thanks to our server. Thanks once again Lucianos for the great experience and thank Ronald

It exceeded my expectations. It was my first time dining in Lucianos and it was incredible our server Ronald did an amazing job taking care of us we started with mussels bianco and after we finished with that he brought us a warm towel and squeeze some lemon juice in out hands to clean our hands. Then we order a dover sole and he didnt have a problem what so ever de boning the fish as well as a calamaretti salsiccia. He was so kind every time we stand up we will find out napkins fold it again which it was something great. Our overall experience was awesome definitely will be back soon.

Accidentally came to Luciano's on 1/2 price bottled wine night (Wednesday). The wine prices are already reasonable, unlike some restaurants. We ordered a bottle of Zenato Pinot Grigio, a favorite, and a Tuscan red named Rubio from San Polo, on the recommendation of our waitress. Both were excellent choices. The price was less than two glasses of each would have been with the bottle discount. The service was exceptional. We had three servers assigned to our table and were introduced to each of them. The seafood soup was excellent and included chunks of both of the fresh catch of the day. I didn't try the lasagna my wife ordered but it looked delicious. Salads were fresh and tasty. We had a mista and a chop salad. I recommend both.

Our meal at Luciano's was absolutely excellent. The food was some of the best we have ever had for higher-end Italian, and will be back. However, we were outside of the main dining room and our waitress was the bartender, who was unable to easily see us, and became overwhelmed and didn't visit our table after appetizers until it was time for us to get our check. Our (non-water) drinks were not offered to be refilled, nor were we offered fresh cheese or pepper upon the arrival of our main courses. Knowing she was busy, she should have handed over the table, or one of the waiters serving other guests around us could have helped, but it wasn't until we had been seated with our empty plates for 15 minutes did someone help us.

Luciano's is absolutely fantastic - certainly a gem in the Dilworth area! My fiance and I dined at several top-tier restaurants during Queen's Feast, and this was our top pick for over-all dining experience. Our server was prompt and had quite the charming sense of humor. The valet was quick and courteous. We ordered a few seafood items as part of our picks (which were perfectly seasoned and cooked so as to melt in our mouths). On top of everything, the manager unexpectedly offered us a very generous complimentary item, which made the night truly unforgettable. It would be remiss not to include that we have already made a reservation for this Saturday for a birthday dinner!

My husband and I tried Luciano's during restaurant week, and we had a 5-star experience. What impressed us the most was the impeccable service. Everyone from the hostess to the manager were all so nice. First class, yet no pretentious attitude. We loved the dipping sauce they provide with the bread! It was a step up from the usual. Also, I must mention the drinks. They were awesome. Thumbs up to the bartender! We will definitely go back.

We tried Luciano's during restaurant week. The decor was the first thing I noticed -- soft white and elegant. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Fabulous service, helpful and knowledgable about the menu, courteous. Every course that we had was wonderful. I had the pork -- flattened and pan fried with rocket salad. The salad was so fresh with just a hint of dressing and the pork was crispy and moist, just perfect. The rest of my party had the beef tenderloin and they all enjoyed their meal as well. You MUST have dessert! I had the peanut butter bombe (may not be the right name..) and it was incredible. We didn't have to raise our voices to talk or strain to hear each other. The lighting enabled me to see the menu.

We tried this restaurant as part of a 'restaurant week' event. Great food. At first I did not think I would like the 8 oz. Beef Tenderloin - roasted fingerling potatoes, mushroom Marsala cream sauce because I am not much for mushrooms but it was awesome. I really think there was more than 8 oz of meat there. I had to leave a couple of bits so I could save room for dessert. I had the Peanut Butter Bomba for dessert...Great choice. I felt this was pricey ($30.00 for 3-courses per person) but I usually never eat 3 courses. We did have the option to order from the menu but chose not to. Ordering off the menu is cheaper but we wanted to taste everything. Next time I will skip the appetizer so I will have room for entree and dessert.

We went to Luciano's for the first time during restaurant week. The 4 of us ordered from the $30 menu. The arancini appetizer was delicious, and both desserts (nutella panna cotta and peanut butter bomba) were very good. However, 2 main course selections (stuffed salmon and beef tenderloin marsala) were both ok and the pork chop Milanese was very tough. The two diners who ate the pork chop struggled through the tough meat but I would not have been able to eat it. We did let the waiter know about the pork chop, but no apology or explanation from the manager or chef. Nice wine list. We had a delicious Mettler zinfandel.

The restaurant accommodated my request for a quiet spot, and seated us in the private dining room. We started off by sharing an order of the calamari fritti, which was light and tasty. My husband had the gorgonzola crusted filet mignon, which was very flavorful and so tender it cut like butter. I had the chicken piccata, which was excellent. It was pounded thin, and was tender- not overcooked. My son had the eggplant parmigiana and said it was the best he'd ever had. He loved the sauce. The desserts were also a big hit. My husband had the tiramisu, I had the chocolate gelato, and my son had the brownie ala mode. Service was top notch. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes.

Our first visit to Luciano's was very nice. The antipasto plate was very generous and good. The sole meuniere was excellent as was the veal marsala. The nightly special, a seafood combination pasta, was also very good. The lamb shank was well-prepared and tasty. We did not have dessert. The only slight hiccup was bringing a salad before we were finished with the antipasto.

We came to have dinner and celebrate a friend's last night out as a "single lady". Our dining experience could not have been any better. First of all, our waiter, Nate, made us laugh, and was very attentive to us. He even indulged us when we asked him to call LeeAnn's fiancé to tell him how lucky he is to be marrying her!! The food and wine were both outstanding and the atmosphere was elegant. They even offer a gluten-free menu which was important to one of friend's who has Celiac's disease. Plus, the restaurant is conveniently located next to the light rail system, which we rode into uptown Charlotte afterwards. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this place and will definitely go back.

Went to Luciano's with a couple friends from work. None of us had ever been there so didn't know what to expect. Had a great meal. The beef carpaccio was a big portion, plenty to share with some flash-fried capers that were a nice touch. I had Salmon with asparagus that was fantastic. One friend had veal picatta and the other had the rib-eye. We shared and all were very tasty. For dessert we had a dark chocolate brownie with ice cream and it was also great. I highly recommend this place.
