Diner Reviews
  • "The food was good and we were able to take advantage of the restaurant week promotion. The server mentioned that it was ok to share the three course meal which was what we wanted to do. We did order a second salad making the quantity of food just right for us."

  • "Every dining experience at Lucia is superb. Lucia has a classy yet comfortable vibe that feels hip and fun while romantic and orivate. The service was excellent, our server was friendly and attentive, but never disrupting or delaying your meal. Portions are well sized and the flavors rich, everything we have tried has been delicious. Good wine variety that is reasonably priced - this is a very high quality food experience for a moderate price. I Highly recommend any of their ravioli, chicken canneloni, their pomodoro sauce, marsala, and the pork or veal with the risotto. For dessert, the chocolate decadence with salted caramel gelato is absolutely to die for! This may be my favorite date night restaurant in Kirkland!"

  • "This neighborhood restaurant is a great gem. Servings were great - food was great. You get your money's worth and then some with this one. Service was quick and simple. Really a nice place to grab a quick bite."

  • "We were looking for a good restaurant near the Kirkland Performance Center before a concert. Lucia seemed to have good reviews for their food and they had a nice selection on their menu. It has a modern decor which adds to the noise but still at a level where you can have a comfortable conversation. Our waitress was very courteous and attentive. The wine selection was nice. Our appetizers and food were very good and served timely. We had their creme brûlée for desert which was very nice. We had a very nice time and would highly recommend it."

  • "I took my wife here for her birthday and we were more than impressed. We split a grilled romaine salad to start; she then had the chicken parm and I had the signature truffle spaghetti. All of it was amazing! The service was good and surprisingly quick - not rushed by any means though. We look forward to returning soon!"

  • "Food was just OK. Salmon was overcooked and shrimp scampi pasta didn't have a whole lot going for it. There are better choices for Italian around."

  • "Ask to be seated down stairs. The bench seating upstairs is very uncomfortable."

  • "Food is always amazing. Good wine list, bar drinks great-service is spot on. Even corkage fee is reasonable at $15."

  • "Lucia is tucked into the middle of a strip mall not visible from a main road. I found it by googling local happy hours then meeting there with friends. Lucia is in a contemporary romantic atmosphere in Park Place right off of I - 405 on 85th. The happy hour food was great with affordable prices as well. We all tried different foods to share and loved them all. We returned to try their dinner and was equally impressed. Lucia has one of the best Italian foods I've had. My entree choice was "Lucia’s Signature Spaghetti": Lucia’s Signature Truffle Spaghetti & Meatballs: White truffle oil fondue, shaved black truffles homemade meatballs covered in a pink sauce which was AMAZING. It's truly a hidden gem that's worth your try."

  • "The food was okay but way over priced. We were there for an early dinner so the place was dead yet the serve wasn't very attentive. This place is definitely aiming to be a trendy/fashionable above all else. If your looking for good Italian places on the Eastside you'll find much better food at Restaurant Paradiso (Kirkland) or Angelo's (bellevue)."

  • "They were very accommodating, we thought we had ordered a gluten free meal and when they realized we did not they brought out a new gluten free dinner plus a wonderful gluten free dessert. Your manager was sweet and so was our sever both went above and beyond our expectations, we would definitely return again."

  • "Wasn't expecting to order a burger when I went in, but saw the Kobe beef burger on the menu. It was awesome. Definitely will go back for."

  • "Cannelloni and Saltimbocca both very good and generous serving size. 1/2 salads a little small for the price but good. Birthday desert on the house was very much appreciated and yummy. Flourless Chocolate Decadence with Salted Carmel Ice Cream. One of my favorite places on the eastside to eat."

  • "Good food, vibrant ambiance. Waiter was MIA. Never asked about food satisfaction, wine refills, dessert. Had to hunt down to get check."

  • "This is an amazing resturant. From the food to the ambience I have no complaints. This was our 3rd time there, and every time we are impressed! This resturant feels like an italian resturant, as in a resturant we would find in Italy, not an italian style resturant in america."

  • "This is a favorite and, as always, the food and service were very good. However, we had a 6pm reservation and were not seated until after 6:30, which pressured us a bit because we had to make an 8:00 show. Still, we would highly recommend it."

  • "Although I made reservations in advance, the restaurant still could not come up with a better than mediocre table. The table fo 2 is very small and narrow with a great view of QFC. Every server and dishwasher walking by was highly noticeable. We were seated next to 2 very large groups one in which brough their less than year old baby which sat one foot away from us, though not crying, it was distracting. Service was great and food was ok. The Kolbe burger and fries were the best and worth going back for. The crab cakes were not ok. Tasted like a tuna or salmon pattie. Chefs ought to use more real crab and a different recipe such as Maryland crab cakes. Bread and stuffed mushrooms were also very good."

  • "We decided to try this new, local restaurant. The food was great but it was very noisy. We left earlier than we had planned because a large, very "enthusiastic" group came in beside us and we could hardly hear each other, The acoustics in that place were non existent so the voices bounced off the walls and ceilings. We probably won't go back."

  • "The bartendar/waiter was such an engaging, energetic, fun and attentive guy (too bad I forgot his name). The husband and I will definately be back just to have the wonderful experience again!"

  • "Excellent dinner, as usual. The service, however, was under par. And, on a Saturday evening, with a grocery store and Starbucks a stone's throw away, Lucia was out of decaf coffee! Appears to be a management issue here."

  • "Celebrating a birthday, we try to pick a new restaurant in a new neighborhood. Lucia sounded interesting. We all agreed the food was good, all had a different offering. Enjoyed the house wines offered at lunch and the bread was to die for. Only complaint we all had was the temperature should be turned up and the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. Service was very good and all agreed we would come back dressed warmer."

  • "The food was fair but not very tasty. The seating was too crowded and it was loud. The waiters were not well trained and were not attentive."

  • "We loved the food, but the seats pushed you forward! A little uncomfortable."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "The food is ok, nothing special, but it's really overpriced. Over a hundred bucks for two people and cold entrées is a bit too much."

  • "My wife and I came here for Valentines Day, where there was a special 4-course menu for that night (I believe there were things not on their regular menu for the most part). There were 3 choices for appetizer, 3 for salad, 5 or 6 main courses and 3 desserts to choose from. At first I was a bit disappointed in that, but am actually glad that this was the case. It forced me to make choices I normally wouldn't make, and they were all quite good. We'll definitely be back and have already recommended Lucia's to some friends."

  • "Picked Lucia partly due to having to be Kirkland for concert that evening and didn't want to fight traffic. Turned out to be a good find. Lots of close parking. Special Valentine's menu provided something for both wife and self. We were seated promptly and had a nice corner table. Wait staff knowledgeable and very helpful. They offered pairing suggestions that we accepted and found to be quite nice. We will try them again when we are in Kirkland and have access to the full menu"

  • "When you walk into Lucia you are greeted by a smile, the ambiance is energetic and pleasing. I am always looking for food that I cannot make at home, they have an incredible selection of delicious apps and entres and I am never disappointed. Thanks for being that restaurant I can always go to for any occasion and feel welcome and like family!"

  • "Although I rated Lucia good to very good on the items they asked for I would not return there for a meal due to the hard chairs, What were they thinking! I don't want to spend three hours in a restaurant with chairs that were meant to be paired with a desk in a school. Also, I specifically asked for a table that provided privacy and received the table next to where all the waitstaff came and went. Not good. That said, if hard chairs do not bother you the food was good and the service was also good."

  • "Lucia is the Italian restaurant I love to go to. I've never had bad service, the food is excellent, the prices reasonable, and the staff never try to upsell. Their salads are nice, I have tried many of the entrees and are particular to the Gnocci and short ribs, the smoked ravioli, and oh heck, just about all. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation."

  • "Meal: we shared a cesar salad as an appetizer. Hubby had a cocktail that was delish: house infused serrano vodka-based drink. I ordered shrimp scampi since I didn't want anything too rich. Husband had short ribs and potato gnocchi. They were both decent meals. Nothing spectacular. This is our second visit to Lucia. The first one was ok, so we thought we'd order something else and give it another go. The best thing about the restaurant is it's ambiance. The food is just okay. Nothing inventive or super amazing. I'm appalled by the cheese bread and brown sludge they bring out before the meal. The bread tasted like Pizza Hut and the dip was totally unappetizing. Plain bread with butter or evoo and balsamic would have been a step up from this."
