We chose this restaurant because the menu seemed appropriate for our group- and we loved the Lucha Libre themeing. It did not disappoint- the menu was great- something for everyone, and the food was very good. Mexican and not overly saucy. Nachos were outstanding, and the tacos, enchiladas, and burgers were all enjoyed by our party of 10. The drinks were also quite good- and we felt that our total bill was very reasonable for all of us- we ate apps, dinner, a few desserts and each had several cocktails. Including tip, it was about $45 per person. The restaurant wasn't crowded or loud on a Saturday night- except for us, maybe!

I'm hoping it was just an off night because we definitely enjoyed the food. Will return because the food, when we finally got it, was good, and hopefully I'll have a better review of the service in the future.

My friend and I went to Lucha Cartel for the first time last night and loved it. Got margaritas and the Lucha salad and was extremely impressed. Very fresh ingredients and great flavor. Wonderful wait staff as well - will definitely be back!

The ambience is amazing! The restaurant is decorated with cheap "finds" (like chandeliers made from old coffee cans!!!) that are PERFECT!!! Could not stop looking around at everything. Really great place!

I came with a group of 4 on a Saturday night. No wait for a table, but we did make a reservation. They seemed to be understaffed for the night. We only saw 1 server and she was not very attentive. They also had a temporary menu because they were out of practically everything. They didn't even have refried or black beans available! The margaritas were so-so and tasted like the mix was straight out of a bottle. I would like to give this restaurant another shot once they have their full menu, but I definitely won't be rushing back.

The food was decent, but the wait time after being seated was incrediably long. We waited over 10 minutes for menus alone. We then waited for apps, main entrees, drinks (Which we ordered before apps but came out with the food), and the bill. For three of us the dinner took 2 hours. The wait staff is nice enough, the food is fair, but the frustration of the wait time made the overall experience unenjoyable

this restaurant was average at best. certainly overpriced for what you get. the worst part was the shifty guacamole technique- giving you a layer of smooth guac a top inedible, unripe hard as a rock avocados. lame. had it been cheaper i wouldn't have minded as much. i predict it's another restaurant to come and go quickly in this space.

We were seated at a table and ignored by every staff member in the restaurant for close to 10 minutes before walking out. There were plenty of open tables and yet no one working seemed to be our server. All people working in the restaurant were avoiding making eye contact with us so eventually we left. If anyone had dropped off water and said it would just be a few minutes, we would have been fine with it but no one could be bothered with even that. As we were leaving the girl who was apparently our waitress took responsibility and said it was her fault but it was definitely too late. Not sure where the management or staff was as the restaurant was only half full but whatever. We wouldn't go back.
