We both had disastrous experiences and vowed never to return. We heard of the change of ownership and management and will now become regulars, despite a 25 minute trip to get there. The food is as true to real Italian as exists in Columbus. We started with the 3 bruschetta plate, each prepared and plated beautifully with a nice variety of flavorful ingredients. Then we tried two basic Italian dishes from the region around Rome and Lazio, linguine carbonara and bucatini all'amatriciana. The carbonara was smooth and velvety and perfectly sauced with al dente linguine. The bucatini, a difficult pasta to cook, was also al dente, well drained coated with a the spicy sauce. Service was a bit slow this particular evening, but it was a very busy night. It was "Dine Originals" week, which we have found to always be a treat here with the chef creating some special fare or variations not on the regular menu. Their grilled romaine salad was outstanding and innovative, not just a salad that you can get anywhere. We had a vegetable napoleon and the mussels, both of which were total taste treats, and creative. The Luce bolognesa was also a creative pasta dish, and very good. Great selection of wines, lots of by-the-glass selections. Our waiter was top notch, very knowledgeable about both the food and the wines. This restaurant is just getting better and better over the years- I don't know if they have a new chef, or if s/he has just gotten more creative over time, but we can't wait to go back!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server Brady was absolutelyOur server Brady was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable about the menu, made great wine suggestions, was attentive and very personable. The food was fantastic - I had the smoked short ribs and my husband had the lasagna. Both were fantastic but couldn't top the indulgent winter squash soup!
