  • "We enjoyed a quiet evening at Luca and Leonardo celebrating my parents' anniversary. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. It is great to be able to get a reservation on a Friday night in the busy part of the Woodlands, so we did not have to wait at all for our table. Great evening."

  • "The food was subpar, which is too bad because it is so expensive, and the ambiance seems very nice and romantic. I don't have much experience in cooking Italian food, but I know, for a fact, that I can make a better tasting Alfredo sauce than their's. If I am the one paying for it...or if I have a choice, I'd rather go to a different Italian restaurant in the area."

  • "Joined my neighbors for brunch. The selection of food was great & included prime rib, lamb, crab legs & shrimp...YUM! We will be back!"

  • "My husband and I recently ate at Luca and Leonardo's in The Woodlands and had a wonderful meal. The food was great and the service even better! Our waiter went out of his way to make everything perfect for us. We had a lovely view of the fountains from outside on the porch. I would highly recommend this restaurant for good Italian food and reasonable prices."

  • "This was a nice alternative to eating at the downstairs Mexican whatever it is supposed to be. Same owner I think - but completely different concept and menu. MUCH better. We enjoyed this before some of the July activities. We will be back!"

  • "Went here for our anniversary and my wife loved it. The food was really good. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone!"

  • "It was middle of the road in terms of food quality, didn't have any preconceived expectation so really wasn't disappoint nor blown away. Just ok."

  • "very poor quality food and slow service for only two other tables with people in the restaurant"

  • "After 4 visits of great sucess, we chose this restaurant to celebrate my wife's 65th birthday (just the 2 of us). his time we did not fair so well. My food was good, but my wife's risotto was overcooked and mushy, while her Sabajone was runny and lumpy. We also had to wait for the waiter to show up, but when he did, he was very friendly and accommodating."

  • "Went here for dinner and we had a reservation, the hostess wasn't at the stand when we showed up and then she was so rude when she returned 5 minutes later and we asked when we would be seated for our 7:15 reservation (at 7:20) she told us it would be 15 minutes and didn't ask for our names. 20 minutes later she didn't say anything else, apologize, or ask for our names, and displayed a general arrogance about herself. We ended up leaving without eating. I had to rate the food in order to submit, but I don't know if this is accurate because we couldn't even sit down."

  • "Great food, wonderful ambiance and a lively, buzzing crowd. Unfortunately the appalling service ruined our dining experience. We arrived 10 minutes early for a 7:30 reservation and were seated at 8:45 pm. Once seated, it took an additional 20 minutes for someone to take our wine order. Bread, wine and main course arrived together. Having to endure the long wait surrounded by other equally frustrated patrons and the poor service at the table destroyed our dining experience. The General Manager of the restaurant failed miserably in my estimation. It's a shame because if this place is better managed it could gain a lot more business. Right now it is a miserable fail."

  • "I don't know what the food was like because we never got in. We had an 8:00 PM reservation, and showed up right at 8:00 PM and the girl at the front didn't even take our name. She told us they were two hours behind on reservations. No one knew what was going on around there. People were hanging out everywhere waiting for tables. A man came up the the hostess table and asked if she had an estimate on when he would be seated for his 07:00 reservation. She could not give him a clear answer. This was suppose to be our Valentine's Dinner. We left after witnessing such chaos, and went to a Japanese Sushi Bar down the street."

  • "There is no place to wait while waiting for a reserved table. The entrance is small and cramped and really unwelcoming. We did get seated timely, but were ignored for over 20 minutes until a waiter explained he didn't know we were in his section. We were seated on the patio and it was cold. The heaters were insufficient. Just a really unpleasant experience. Food was ok .. But we would never return because there are too many other good places to go."

  • "This was the worst dining out experience I've had in a long time. We had reservations at 7:30 pm but weren't seated until almost 9:00 pm. The hostess initially told us it would be a 20 minute wait and then disappeared. After insisting that she seat us, she placed us at the worst table. It took10 minutes for a waiter to visit our table. After all that, when my food came it was lukewarn. It was a huge disapointment. We will never return."

  • "We missed a movie after waiting about 40 minutes between salad and entrée. We will not be going back. For the price and location, the service, though very proper, was unreasonably slow."

  • "I reserved a table at Luca and Leonardo for my wife and I to celebrate a special day. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were told that there were no more tables and that we would have to dine on the patio because it was a wine tasting night..something that would have nice to know beforehand, considering it was around 50 degrees out. Once seated, we waited just over 15 minutes before having our drink orders taken, at which point the manager did apologize. The service from that point on was ok, but both steaks were overcooked and the food was decent, but nothing special. Desert was very good, but the entire evening's experience left plenty of room for improvement..."

  • "My wife and I went to L&L for Valentines Day. The priced fixed menu was $75 pp which was incredibly over-priced for what you received. For $150 we shared a small appetizer and a small dessert. We each had our own salad and entree. While evrything was good, it is hard to justify that price point. Our waiter was very good, however."

  • "When we got there we waited at the hostess stand for several minutes. Finally, my husband had to track someone down to help us be seated. Once the host seated us he said he would be back with some water. We sat there for at least 10 minutes with no menus, no drinks. Mind you the place had just opened 10 minutes prior so they were not getting slammed. I didn't want to wait any longer so we got up and left. To the defense of the restaurant they did call and apologize for the experience. The girl that called said there was an accident and they were short staffed. I understand that things happen but the host maybe should have mentioned something to that effect when being seated. They offered us a dining certificate for which we did not take."

  • "We enjoyed just about everything about our first trip to Luca. The widow table was nice, restaurant clean and dignified, the food was especially well presented and delicious. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the choice of music. In such a fine dining decor and environment the music was too pop-like and beat-driven. I would have enjoyed something more classical or easy listening. It just didn't seem to match the atmosphere of the restaurant. Otherwise we really had a good experience."

  • "Maybe they were just off their game because of the super cold weather. The restaurant came highly recommended by several different friends, but we weren't particularly impressed. But, because it was our first time visit, we were intrigued enough that we will try it again. First, prices are a tad higher than other restaurants of equal quality, so that leads to an expectation of something special, but not this night. The mixed seafood appetizer was missing one of the ingredients, but still good with the calamari and shrimp. No explanation why the fish was missing. The grouper special ordered by three in our group was OK, but all said they wish they'd ordered something else. My lobster ravioli was excellent--highly recommend it."

  • "Surprisingly, there are very few restaurants of this overall level in The Woodlands. I went for the Sunday Brunch (which open table lists at $30 but it is actually $35). Usually, brunch food that self-serve is a bit lower in quality than the standard menu. But the food was excellent. If you like chocolate croissants, try their version of the pastry, you will not be disappointed."

  • "Don't order the steak! This place is hit or miss - not the first time I've been there. First experience was nice, so we returned. This time? Not so much. Great location, beautiful view, awesome wait staff, disappointing food. Our steaks were just not flavorful. Filet was tender, rib eye had great marble (but quite a bit of gristle) -- just not up to a fine steakhouse quality. If you want a steak, visit Fleming's, Kirby's or even Perry's. If you want romance and ambiance - this is a nice place for wine and drinks -- even appetizers. I suggest it may be just an 'off' night, when my husband doesn't eat all his meal- there is something wrong Note: Even the sides were not spectacular - spinach parmegiana and parmesan mashed potatoes."

  • "The good was really good. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The osso bucco was some of the best I have had. It was so tender and the reduction it was served with added a whole new level of flavor. The merengue dessert is light and has so many delicious textures. Perfect as always for the end of the meal. Also, the service was very attentive and spot on the whole evening. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful."

  • "If you like excellent food, great atmosphere, fine service, and a welcome second to none, you should try Luca and Leonardo. The Woodlands has a number of good Italian restaurants but LandL puts its' own unique stamp on their food selections. We're very glad they're here."

  • "I very recently took my wife here for our first anniversary dinner, and we were not disappointed at all. I made not of the special occasion when reserving the table, and they had a nice little anniversary card and special flowers waiting for us, and they provided a free desert as well. We sat outside, so we could watch the water way, listen to the music, and breath the nice night air (glad it was perfect that night). The food was quite delicious, and ready rather quickly. Our waitress was attentive and very personable. All in all an awesome experience."

  • "Very disappointing. The manager came by before the meal and said if we don't like anything let her know. It almost seem like she was anticipating it. and she was right!"

  • "Our evening got off to the wrong start even before we were seated. The hostess was talking, flirting, with a guy at the bar and did not pay attention to the front door. When we finally asked to be seated, there was no apology. We have dined here several times. But have always come away disappointed."

  • "We had a lovely time and enjoyed the special touches (a rose and a note and a special dessert) that the staff at Luca and Leonardo added to make our special evening even more special. We enjoyed browsing the menu while sipping our wine selection. Both entrees were nicely prepared: the fettucine for him and the penne for her. The waitstaff were pleasant, efficient, and not too hovering. We will be pleased to return."

  • "This ranks as one of our greatest dining experiences we have had. The view over the Waterway along with the lighting and water falls amounted to one of the most romantic experiences available in the Houston area and when you top it off with the menu Specials we ordered and our service (Jeff was the BEST) the evening could not have been any better. Luca & leonardo's should be on everyone's list for their special occasion."

  • "17 year anniversary dinner ordered the Lobster Bisque to share with the wife and also the Lobster Ravioli, the sauce on the Ravioli was the same as the Bisque. Rather disapointed in that both foods share the same thing in common. Although the raviolis were outstanding and cooked perfectly but for the resturant I would have expected much better than that. They did remove the Ravioli from the ticket. Overall it was a nice place and food was good. The meat and cheese tray was a home run!!!!!"

  • "We had dinner here last night. I made a note that it was my wife's birthday. Arrived and were seated promptly at a table with a Waterway view, very nice. There was a birthday card on the table for my wife, nice surprise. We had the tomato bisque to start and it was delicious. My wife had the Arribiatta, and I had the surf and turf special of the day. During the meal they brought my wife a long stemmed rose and again wished her a Happy Birthday. After the meal, they comped us a wonderful dessert, Merengatta. It was absolutely delicious. This place is very nice inside, comfortable and cozy, with wonderful views of the Waterway. The staff is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for a special occasion."

  • "This is a nice restaurant with great views and great service. The owner even comes by to say hello and check on you. I ordered salmon, it was just okay. My husband ordered the special that night which was lobster and steak. The lobster had absolutely no taste. Overall, not impressed with the food (which is very pricey), but ambiance and service are great."
