LucFantastic place for the familyWe went here after an awards ceremony for my mom. We were a party of 7 and we were excited to snag a table around 8:30 after the ceremony. The patio was open, so it isn't too difficult to get a table last minute.
Order the Pommes Souffle (Potato Crisps) with Harissa Aioli. You will love them, promise.
The halibut special with wild mushrooms and barley was fantastic.
Love the spinach salad with Green Goddess dressing and chicken confit.
Hubby got the Moroccan Chicken, which is amazing and I have no idea how they keep it so juicy and tender.
Other highlights: Take their wine recommendations. Our server George was spot on in getting us a bottle that pleased all 7-palates.
We love this place and will be back as soon as we can.
Thanks!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI eat at Luc about once everyI eat at Luc about once every 3 months, it is reliable, great food....4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGood but not drop dead amazing.Luc was good. The menu was ambitious and we went for restaurant week. I'm not neccesarily dying to go back; the french onion soup tasted a bit like the bottom of the pan burned and all the food was good, but again, nothing I would say I HAD to go back for. Not in a city like Seattle where there are a million gems and really outstanding restaurants. We might have had an off night because of Restaurant Week or perhaps my ordering just wasn't that great. I had the pork loin and it was great, the meat was perfect, it was like butter, I just think I was hoping for something more notable.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe fare featured was classicThe fare featured was classic French bistro (cassoulet, onglet & frites, etc), but the food seemed underseasoned (i.e. the peppercorn sauce was underwhelming). Drinks & ambience were awesome!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, a little loudGood food, a little loud but a real gem for the neighborhood.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat creative food with farmGreat creative food with farm to table ingredients!
Always go for the Prixe Fix Menu ! A must visit in Seattle.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was an experience thatThis was an experience that we will not soon forget! This was our first visit to Luc, and even though we are from the East Coast, this will not be our last. The food was FANTASTIC, and the service was great from start to finish. Would recommend Luc to any and all who will be traveling to Seattle....this is one food experience you will NOT want to miss.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMLuc is one of my absoluteLuc is one of my absolute faves that never disappoints. From the delicious cocktails to the potatoe soufflé crisps to any of the mouth watering entrees, undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Seattle!3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my wife to LUC forI took my wife to LUC for her birthday, and neither of us had ever been there before. We agreed afterward that this was the best meal either of us had ever eaten in our lives. I suspect it's not great for vegetarians, because the most amazing dishes involved meat, but oh my! The service was very efficient and friendly (in a European way), and while we found the atmosphere a little noisy (we prefer things quiet), we could still converse with no problem. We will be back for special occasions. Or maybe just for a spontaneous happy hour.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful find!I love Lucs, particularly the atmosphere and energy. My brunch was a creative pulled pork eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked to perfection on a delicious grilled bread. My beet juice bloody Mary was a great accompaniment with an interesting taste.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food we have had forBest food we have had for a long time.
