  • "We had a great night at the luau it was energetic and fun while also giving a glimpse into Hawaiian culture. A must do for anyone going to Maui."

  • "We had a wonderful time at the Royal Lahaina Luau. The views from the beach there are amazing, the sunset was beautiful, and we got great photos of our family along the beach. The food was very good, and the performance by the dancers was so well done. Very impressed and would recommend highly, especially if you are staying on Kaanapali - the location of this luau is so convenient."

  • "This luau is special.. food was amazing, the show was awesome and the staff was so friendly and heplful. We had VIP seating up front so that added a different vibe. Well worth our time and money. Next time i come to maui we will attend this special place again."

  • "They got started a little late, and we were there early, then they lined us up without regard for who was early and we ended up at the back of the line. After that it was fabulous, everything we wanted and expected."

  • "I have been to many Luaus in the past and had vowed not to go to any more, however, my 2 nieces (11 and 12 years old) had never been to Hawaii so we felt they needed to experience it. This was great for all ages. Great show and audience participation. Food was just OK. D rinks were good and we liked that we got to keep the tiki mugs. A little pricey so this is definitely not for those on a tight budget."

  • "My family had a wonderful time at the luau. The entertainment was great. We loved how intimate it was. I've been to other luaus that are just huge so it was nice that it was small."

  • "We went to this Luau on our honeymoon 25 years ago. We have been back to Maui four times since then, and have attended several luau's at different locations. This trip we were celebrating our 25th anniversary and decided to go back to the luau at the Royal Lahaina resort. It was by far the best luau! The food, show, and service were excellent! Our 14 year old daughter also enjoyed it. On a future visit, we will return to the Royal Lahaina Resort's Luau."

  • "Booking online is the only way to go to his Luau! We were able to skip the line that reached around the building just because we booked online! We were listed as 'VIP' and had a premium seat assignment. We were given real flower lei's as well as shell lei's. We also were give 'Tiki' cups and had full access to the bar at no additional costs. We did pay full price for this as opposed to getting a deal through a resort but I think it was worth it. We were able to have better views, drinks, pictures, and we were first up to the line when it was time to eat!"

  • "We had a great time at the Royal Lahaina Resort Luau that we booked through OpenTable. We particularly enjoyed the VIP treatment we received as a result! The luau was fun and entertaining, the food was just average, as you might expect because it's buffet style."
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "We had a great time. Went there on our honeymoon and enjoyed the show very much. The dancers were really good! The seating was on stones which wasn't the best for chairs but the show made up for that."
    Dined on 7/20/2014
  • "I'm sad because I was commemorate my birthday and the event was canceled because yhe whether was not good. They would've a opcion for rain days."

  • "My wife and I were on our honeymoon and of course we wanted to go to a Luau. Our first choice was booked for months, but we spoke to an event coordinator and recommended a luau at the Sheraton or this one. The one at the Sheraton had a better review score, however the Royal Lahaina had better reviews on yelp. We took a chance and we made the right choice! We booked an online VIP special, and included that it was our honeymoon. If you see a VIP special, book it immediately! They treated us like VIP's from the start. It included VIP service, a souvenir, they also gave a shot out to us during the performance, and the most important thing, it was OPEN BAR! The host kept us entertained and the dancers were amazing. I highly recommend this luau!"

  • "Great show, good food and cocktails. would definitely recommend getting VIP tickets for the seating position close to the stage, first to go for food, keepsake mug and fresh leis"

  • "My wife and I had an excellent experience! The food was delicious and plentiful, the staff were all very friendly, and the show was fun to watch. The fire dancers at the end were especially fun to watch (although this act of the show may be weather-dependent, as we overheard another couple at our hotel say they did not see them.) We were pleasantly surprised by the "VIP package", including front-row seats, free drinks and souvenir mugs, and food priority, that came with our ordinary online reservation. Parking was also very straightforward and stress-free, and we seemed to arrive along with most of the crowd. My only regret is that my stomach wasn't large enough to try everything."

  • "We were on our honeymoon and chose to go to this luau after reading the reviews on yelp. I think it was a great value for the price and the food was good; the kalua pork was outstanding. When I booked I mentioned we were on our honeymoon and they upgraded us to VIP, sat us in the front, which was very much appreciated and unexpected. The show was awesome and well put together. The dancers were all wonderful and so was the host. They interacted with the crowd as well which was fun. The only thing I wished was shown was watching them pull the pig out of the ground - which I've seen done at a similar luau, but overall we had a fabulous time."

  • "This was the true Hawaiian experience we were looking for...very entertaining...thank you!"

  • "$45 extra in gifts not worth it unless you drink a lot. Food was fantastic. Organization of flow ,excellent. Show was OK, but same people represented all island cultures and not in cultural dress as taught at a other Luau. Not over crowded but all seats not full. Very dissappointed no IMU show, just carried pig on stage."

  • "I would recommend to book online, I'm not sure if that was the reason, but we were sent into the short line to enter (and the other line was LONG), we got front and center seating (literally, front and center to the stage) and free drinks. They had food specific for kids, which was great, and the food for adults wasn't bad (I had very low expectations going in, so I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was). The initial drink you get upon entering (which is free for everyone) was watered down as I would expect, but the bar drinks were decent (and, again, since I booked online, we got those free). The show was fun and my kids loved it ... the fire dance being the highlight of the trip for my 5 year old son."

  • "The luau itself was great. Good food, good show, great service. The price for this however was extremely overpriced. I am not singling out the Royal Lahaina, we priced several shows and they we all about the same. They got you and they know it!"

  • "Though I hadn't heard much about the Royal Lahaina Luau, we decided to give it a shot and came away very impressed. The performers entertaining and genuinely loved what they were doing."
    Dined on 6/19/2014
  • "Food is ordinary Hawaiian meal, but hospitality and performance are good. Show is well organized, so we could enjoy eating and seeing timely. When you stay in Royal Lahaina Resort, you should enjoy the Luau."

  • "This is was me and girlfriend first time at in Hawaii and we had to go to a luau. This place is recommended for first timers. Great experience-food, drinks, entertainment."

  • "My family had a fabulous time at the Royal Lahaina Luau! The food was great, drinks were not watered down like at the Hyatt Regency Luau we attended earlier in the week. The show was very enjoyable. I highly recommend this luau. I think it is the best luau for families on Maui!!"

  • "Performers terrific; very energetic. Interesting 'cultural tour' through dance. Food abundant and pretty good. Many choices, including kids table with hot dogs and mac and cheese. A terrific overall experience"

  • "My family and I attended this luau on our first night in Hawaii (Lahaina - Maui). It was just wonderful - I booked the reservations on line and when we arrived we were greeted with beautiful lei's. We got VIP seats, so we were able to sit right by the stage, but there wasn't a bad seat in the house - the food was amazing and the view was incredible. The host of the show was both funny and very entertaining. And the whole production was simply splendid - we are glad we choose to attend this luau - well worth it! And we would recommend for everyone of all ages."

  • "This is one of the best luaus in the area. For the money, the service and quality of food is awesome. Service was great at the bar (which was open) and at the initial greeting and seating. For a buffet the quality of the food was fresh and tasty. We signed up for the VIP package which included flower lei (a $10 option without package) and refillable glass (a $15 option without package). All in all, it was a great experience I would repeat next time we are back in Lahaina."

  • "The food is horrible at the Royal Lahaina Resort Luau. Buffet style, everything seemed to be dried out including the star attraction, the pig. Didn't finish my plate nor did I see anyone else finish theirs or go for seconds. The Luau show was entertaining but not worth the $$$$. Very disappointed."

  • "My husband & I booked this luau as part of our 25th wedding anniversary trip. What a fun evening! The only complaint was that once we were seated, we never saw a server at the table again, which meant we made our own trips to the bar (not as advertised or what I consider VIP treatment.) The food was plentiful, with enough choices for anyone. The Royal Lahaina puts on a great show & we would definitely recommend this venue to friends."

  • "We have been to the old Lahina Luau some years back, this was a different experience the mix of culture, showmanship and audience participation was spot on. The food was great, we had upgraded by reservation and defiantly worth the extra dollars."

  • "Didn't feel like Hawaii until we went to the Luau. It was incredible. Loved everything about it. Loved the VIP service."

  • "Luau was fun. The food was really good and the show was awesome. "

  • "We were happy with the luau itself but very unhappy that the website clearly stated an 11 year old was $30 but we had to pay $108 for my 11 year old daughter. That is way too much money for a child who barely eats and obviously doesn't drink. "
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "We booked though opentable and had v.i.p. service that included no waiting in line, ceramic tiki mugs, leis & shell necklaces, front row seating, a table reserved with our names, primary access to buffet, and unlimited free drinks. I could have gotten the regular non-VIP tickets somewhere else and possibly saved a few bucks, but having the VIP treatment ended up being well worth the extra amount. May as well go all out if you are going to do this, so I would definitely recommend booking through round table to enjoy the VIP experience."

  • "We were really excited to attend a luau on our first trip to Hawaii, but we were pretty disappointed. The show itself was good and the staff was all very nice, but the food was dry and tasteless. We had numerous people tell us we had to go to a luau to get kalua pork, and the pork at the Royal Lahaina was super dry and lacked any seasoning. It was advertised as "all you care to eat" and we did not care to eat much at all. Overall, this was probably the low point of our trip considering the cost. We saw the check-in sheet as we arrived and noticed some people paid over $30 less per person than we did...pretty sure our experience was not $60 better than theirs..."

  • "I really enjoyed this luau. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was great. It looked like all of the performers were having a great time on stage, which made it that much more enjoyable to watch. And of course, open bar inside is always appreciated! Highly recommended!"

  • "Had a wonderful night at the Royal Lahaina Luau. Was surprised to be treated as a VIP, got the better drinks, and the best seats. Buffet had a large variety of food. My only suggestion would be to have entertainment as you were eating. Dancers were great, and they all seemed to love their jobs. Big smiles!"
