It is designed like a tree house, so has seating outside to make it feel like you are in a tree house. The buffet items were varied, well prepared and presented, and quite tasty. The floor staff were all pleasant and industrious.
Because of the large number of patrons, however, dinner plates for the buffet were frequently unavailable. Also, several food items were not immediately replenished, causing diners to hug the walls waiting for them.
Overall the brunch experience was enjoyable. If the issues above can be addressed to handle a large dining crowd at the buffet stations more efficiently, then Loxley's would definitely receive a five-star rating from this reviewer.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGot to watch the rain while dining!I took my girlfriend here for our weekly date night, and it was the first warm weekend of the spring so we picked it to eat outside. On the way there it started pouring! We ended up still getting seated quickly and we still got to sit outside under the deck. It had large curtains that blocked the rain, but we're open about a foot so you could still be "outside" and watch it. The service was good and the food was awesome! I ended up leaving my debit card in the receipt book by accident, and when I went back 2 hours later, the manager went and found it for me! I definitely recommend this place for both indoor and outdoor dining. Wonderfully done, excellent flavor. We sat out on the deck area, very nice. A bit cool but not bad. The koi pond is very neat. Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful while still professional. The service was well above average. The waitress was personable, attentive, and responsive to our needs. The chief complaint, and this applies to many upscale restaurants, I like my steak "very, very rare". Some call it Pittsburg I just say "very, very rare" but seldom does it arrive at the table that way. They are more
medium rare. I want the outside 1/8" cooked but the remaining bright read with a cool center. Good luck on that. The waitress, when asking how I would like my steak cooked said "double rare". The food was great and the service was also timely. The only concern I had was that we waited approximately 20-30 minutes beyond our reservation time. It did appear that there were open tables available and the hostess gave us zero communication about our wait until I asked.
