If there were an 'unbearable' option for noise, that would be it. And the food was not worth it. Just all around terrible experience.

Love Lowcountry, but oddly last night most of the menu items were unavailable. What WAS available was delicious and kudos to my server for being gracious and attentive in light of a depleted menu.

The servers were nice, but the food wasn't that good. If anything the food was a bit heavy on the salt. I asked the servers if they would recommend anything, and all their choices were the most expensive and it wasn't that good! I went there for dinner but I can honestly say for those who were at the bar seemed to be having a good time.

We have dined at Low Country several times, and find the quality of the food, service, and overall experience to be consistently good each time. As people who have spent a fair amount of time in the Carolinas, we can attest that the cuisine is authentic, but with enough of a modern twist to make it a unique New York experience. We ate there this past Friday evening, and had such a positive experience. My teenage daughter requested to go there for her birthday, as she had enjoyed a particular dish there in the past. Unfortunately, it was not on the menu that evening. But the staff spoke to Chef Oliver, and he kindly agreed to make it for her. And he even came out of the kitchen at the end our meal to wish her a happy birthday!

If you're missing your Mom's cooking, and you happen to be from the Charleston or Savannah area, GO! The shrimp and grits was almost as good as my favorite, the deviled eggs. I could have eaten a dozen of them. Just be sure to save room for dessert. Banana pudding (with Nilla wafers) , a shot of honey bourbon, and a second helping of she-crab soup.

I can not tell you enough how disappointed we were. I brought some friends from out of town, and after looking at the menu online, we seemed sure this would be a great place. How wrong we were. 25 minutes to get cocktails, 45 minutes for appetizers. We were so hungry we asked for some bread after about half an hour, and without telling us, they charged $7 for 3 pieces some of the driest cornbread I have ever had. The food was very mediocre and not at all what I had hoped with would be. There are so many good southern restaurants in NYC now, this one just doesn't hold up.
I will never go here again. Service was so slow, it was embarrassing.

This place has been amazing since Oliver Gift took over. The Fried Pickles may be the best in NYC.

Our experience at Lowcountry was only OK. We were seated at a table that blocked in another one, resulting in my having to move my chair in order for the waiter to get to those guests. I ordered a specialty cocktail that came in a really shallow glass and was frankly pretty awful.
The fried pickles are bread and butter pickles. Which should be noted on the menu, as they are quite sweet. Not a fan.
The ribs were not very good. Fatty and overcooked. At a price of $25, I expected a little higher quality.
The chicken and biscuit was quite good, as were the deviled eggs and "rolo" pie.
I would probably go back just for beer and appetizers, if at all.

The pork belly sliders were worth every penny and then some. One order was followed by a second. Really, these little gems were fantastic.
