  • Parking Details: We have free valet assist in the Willow Glen Town Square or you can search for yourself. Free parking is also available at 1276 Lincoln Ave (a short block away) as well as street parking on Lincoln or Willow Streets. At night Coldwell Banker Real Estate on Willow across the street from us permits public parking.

Lou's Village Restaurant is now located in San Jose's Willow Glen District. Primarily known for seafood from around the world, we also serve beef, chicken and pasta. Lou's is located in the new Willow Glen Town Square with full bar and daily Happy Hour. Originally opened in 1946, the traditional continues with new cuisine such as Miso Black Cod or Seared Ahi with Wakame rice medallions and some old time favorites like Cioppino and Calamari. Our chef serves the best grades of seafood when only fresh fish is available. We believe in following sustainable policies such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium guidelines. Plenty of parking is available with valet service provide in the Square garage. For more parking availablity please call or email.

  • "We had never been to Lou's Village before, but our daughter had recommended it, especially for their Tiramisu. So my wife and I went there for our 38th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. I had the 2 baby lobster tails and they were excellent - tender and tasty. My wife had the encrusted Mahi-Mahi and it was excellent as well. The Tiramisu was great. The staff was attentive but not overbearing and they paid attention to special details/requests. The outdoor dining was great, with a nice waterfall close by, good shade umbrellas and foliage/fencing/walls to provide a buffer to the real world."

I went to the old Lou's Village many times so I was very glad to see that some of that survived. I would recommend this place, maybe not as a hot spot but a good place to get good food and drinks. The bar is beautiful with a large aquarium."

  • "We spent over $100 with tip ( 4 people ). The clam chowder was as awesome as Monterrey. I ordered the spinach salad and something in it cut my tongue ( which is still healing a week later ). The Thing that was annoying, the kids did not like the food so most of their meals were left over. I asked for a box and they said they would box it. The brought the bill and and I paid it but they never brought the kids food . We were hoping they would have romantic music because last time they had a live jazz player doing sultry instrumentals. We were celebrating our anniversary. There was a violin player outside but we decided to eat inside."

Saw him dress his bartender down in the middle of service, then chewed out a server later, only to sit down at a table near his podium to enjoy a glass of vino with a very attractive woman whom one could only assume was his date. Server Audrey and bartender Katie were aces. Won't go back"

  • "At an early Saturday evening meal we had the Lobster Roll. the Lobster Ravioli, and the Capellini Pomodoro. All were very good, especially the Lobster Roll served in an open pocket, making the eating a very clean process. The Lobster Ravioli was very good, though the portion a bit on the stingy side. Would have been nice if Parmesan cheese had been offered for the pasta (Capellini Pomodoro). Overall the service was good. Parking immediately behind the restaurant was convenient and included free valet service if desired."

The food was excellent, the ambience great and the service was very good, though we prefer a waiter who does not have quite as much facade. . The entire evening was what we expected...very nice.   • "Had Caesar Salad with Prawns -- house-made dressing is delish. Prawns are from Mexico, so they are the meaty white-flesh sweet ones, not the watery translucent tasteless ones. Companion had salmon -- very good, but he didn't rave about it because we make salmon at home all the time and have perfected it."

  • "Bread & butter: they should have a better sour Dough bread. This bread had no flavor. But the butter was easy to spread. Crab cakes were good. Grilled artichokes: good flavor but undercooked. The special, Mediterranean orzo prawns, were so vinegary I didn't enjoy or finish. The service, waitstaff were very good. My wife's Baja prawns with mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious. Her second time having that dish. 3 glasses if wine, good. We spent over $100 each visit and both times left feeling like we got half the value."

  • "I made reservations here based on the ratings of others but we were really disappointed. The oysters rockafeller was probably the worst I've ever had. I think they must have used frozen spinach and hollandaise sauce which made each one wet (not broiled to a toasty crusty top!) and slimy and, interestingly enough, sweet. Yick. The spinach salad had so much dressing on it that I literally put each leaf on my salad plate while I scraped off the dressing with a butter knife. What was good was the raw oysters (not credit to the chef on that) and the calamari was nicely prepared although a bit greasy. Sorry, but this is regrettable for a Bay area seafood restaurant. With such amazing ingredients, it shouldn't be rocket science to make this work!"

  • "The food was wonderful and the staff very attentive. Very cormfortable and interesting decor. The only complaint we had is that it's very difficult to come into the restaurant if your handicapped. We took my 92 year old mother and basically had to use the bus stop area to get her out of the car. There is an elevator but the building owners keep it locked on the weekends. Call ahead and the manager will unlock it for you. He did for us when we were leaving. The food was excellent and appreciate how the staff helped when we complained about how hard it was to enter. We didn't eat outside but next time I will as it also looked very nice."

  • "We are old patrons of the Original Lou's Village and I have now been to lunch and dinner at the new place. I was very happy with both experiances. It was expensive for dinner but it was date nght so that was fine and it wasn't the food that was costly it was our drinks! Both of our dinners were well presented and the taste was excelent. And my husband said he would be happy to go back again."
