The service was extremely slow.
Apparently on Valentine's day they only had ONE chef working. It took about 45 minutes just to get our starter salads. The wait staff was great and very apologetic about it. The restaurant was also a little chilly. The food was incredible. I had the scallops with crab and potato hash and it was delicious! It was almost worth the wait. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I think that they only had one chef on staff was a one off."

We went to Baltimore to see War
Horse for my birthday and needed somewhere good for a special dinner after the show. Louisiana completely fitted the bill. It was a shame at the shortage of clientele, but as a result the service we received, the food we ate and the ambiance and noise level were all simply outstanding. The place is actually enormous, but the dining room we ate in was small and select. I am looking forward to our return in three weeks time."

A Saturday night with only three
other tables, two twos, and a four @ 8 PM The restaurant was cold, about 60 degrees. We were served a basket of mostly burned, and I mean black crumbling ash, bread. We ordered a salad and bisque that arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered. The salad looked nice, but was lacking in taste. The bisque was tasty but broken. Second course blackened shrimp and grits, and "duo of petite crab cakes gently broiled…" arrived about 15-20 min after we finished our first. The grits were amazing! The shrimp were large but tasted like flash frozen Vietnamese prawns in blackening seasoning. The "Duo" was one large and burned. The gumbo was mediocre filled with sub par frozen seafood but the duck confit was quite good."

Variety of food and drink should
manage to keep everyone in the party happy. Ambience is very pleasing. Noise level is low enough to be able to carry on a decent table conversation. Vicinity parking can be difficult on weekends."

We liked everything about our
dinner at Louisiana: the food, the drinks, and the service. It isn't the first time we dined there and we were glad we thought of it for New Year's Eve. The thing we love the most is the atmosphere and the decor. It is a beautiful restaurant."

This large and elaborately
decorated restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday evening. Despite being one of 2 active tables in the dining room, service was slow. The prices were too high for the quality of the food we ordered."

We were literally the ONLY people
in the restaurant for our entire meal but I can't understand why! The food was great, the ambiance was amazing, and the service was prompt and attentive. We walked around the restaurant a bit after our meal. It would be a beautiful venue for an event!"

Dined there on a Sunday night at
8:30 p.m. There were only two other couples dining then and we soon found ourselves all alone in a cavernous facility. I suspect that hosting catered events, not restaurant dining, is their real money-maker. The front door was even locked when we arrived. The place is gorgeous, like a movie set for a Gilded Age dining parlor. But the food was disappointing and doesn't hold a candle to real Creole cuisine. The dinner rolls tasted like they were bought frozen from Safeway. The salad was generous but didn't taste fresh, and the gumbo- which they warned was spicy - was bland. Their crabcake is phenomenal - backfin lumps piled high and lightly held together by a modicum of filler. The bread pudding was bland."

Went here for our anniversary
dinner and thoroughly enjoyed a diamond in the rough. You'd never expect to find what's on the inside from the outside look. We had a romantic experience that made our anniversary a day to remember and our bellies full."

people in the restaurant. Because I made the reservation on OpenTable, they wanted to honor it, even though they had prepared to be closed for the evening. 'Nuff said (well, actually, the other thing to say is that the food was outsanding)."

rough in Fells Point. Outstanding menu! Quiet, romantic and nestle among the busy bar scene of Fells Point. The interior is beautiful, with the feeling of an old speakeasy. Beautiful decor and perfect for couples or large groups."

My husband and I took my parents
out to celebrate my mom's 78th birthday. We had a wonderful time in this lovely, quiet, environment. We ordered two appetiers, the shrimp and grits, and a wonderful duck salad with field greens, sliced pears, and I don't know what else, just that it was delicious. My husband is a beef eater and orderd the prime rib, which was really good, Dad orderd the gumbo, which was too spicy for him, but he said it was good, and Mom ordered the scallops, very good. I had the sea bass, which I thought was over-cooked and oily for my taste. I didn't really care for it, but overall, it was a really nice dining experiencing."

The duck is the best in Baltimore.
My other favorite is the shrimp and grits. You can never go wrong eating here. My husband had the house special soft shell crab, I think as part of Baltimore soft shell crab week. Hands down best soft shell crab dish ever."

A beautiful setting; generous,
expertly-mixed cocktails; and creative, Southern-inspired dishes. Although there was only a single front-of-the-house person on the week-night we were there (who served as hostess, bartender, and waitress), service was attentive and friendly. Waits were not excessive, and our meals arrived piping hot and delicious. Portions were generous and beautifully presented. We'll definitely be back!"

The food was DELICIOUS! Expensive
but the food was worth every penny and you get what you pay for - we were stuffed when we left! When you walk in - it is like going back in time. We were eating for 2 hours and didn't even realize it."

We were really looking forward to
dining here for my sons Birthday...Waitstaff, the little there was, was very nice...From the start the service was very very very slow...They did give the 3 of us a glass of bubbley to start which was very nice...Took too long to order, too long to get our apps and too long to get our main...We were there from 6:30pm til 9:30pm on a Thursday evening...I think this is the longest I have ever spent dining at a restaurant... However, the Food was very very good..Well thought and prepared...I was sooo disappointed in the service..Only 2 women serving a room full of people..This could have been such a great experience...Would go back for the food but not the very very slow service.. Sorry..."

stepped inside of Louisiana to the moment we left everything was perfect. The decor was magnificent -- so lovely, warm, but elegant. This was my second trip to
Louisiana. Booked a reservation on OpenTable for Saturday 7:30pm. Tried to move to 7pm, but was told that there were no slots available at that time. When we arrived, the large restaurant was nearly empty. Layout/decor is amazing, with a US Southern flare and French influence. The service was particularly slow this evening. Our server kept returning to give us updates on our orders, even without prompting - was it that evident that we had been waiting? Perhaps they were short-staffed in the kitchen. The shrimp and grits were impeccable, but the entrees (gumbo and sea bass) were pretty bland and left something to be desired."

Loved the old southern mansion

It was a very slow evening so we
received extra special attention. The food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the crab bisque, blackened scallop entree, and catfish entree. I have had better shrimp and grits, but their version was okay."
