We enjoyed the seafood/vegetable plate, as well as the cheese and fruit plate for an appetizer. Both were delicious. The porterhouse steak was huge, so if you choose it, then make sure that you are very hungry! All of the entree portions are generous and in fact 4 out of the 5 of us took home part of our meals in a box. Our son was the only one who could finish his veal chop entree. I had the brick chicken and my husband and one of our daughters had the lasagna. Everything was beautifully presented and tasty. The men enjoyed several different beers, and I enjoyed a fabulous Cosmo. For dessert the table shared the Chocolate offering and a piece of cheesecake. Waitresses knowledge of the menu was excellent. Two entirely different entrees, both which were tremendous ! My tuna was perfectly done, her short ribs were the best I've ever tasted. I'm sitting here now thinking of the different occasions I can celebrate at Louis'. If you want to pay $8 to valet (which I did after realizing I was going to have to wait 10 minutes to turn off of 7th street due to the line of cars waiting to get into the lot) it is not an issue, but just wasn't used to having to pay to park at the "old" Cosettas.

Be prepared that they only serve the happy hour in the bar area, which is just too bad.
It was very busy while I was there and I am hoping to get back to sit on the patio. Be prepared even if you do add a note to your reservation to sit outside they will sit you inside. I would have rated 5 stars if I was seated on the patio and could have enjoyed happy hour there. It is a bit disconserning as well when they tell you it would be a 45 minute wait to sit on the patio and there are 4 open tables.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceStarted with the Insalata de Mare which had perfectly cooked shrimp, scallops and calimari with a light lemon-oil dressing. The Mistacanza salad which the arugula and a light dressing was also very refreshing. The fish special was a grilled salmon on a bed of spinach and a delicious mushroom sauce. The Gamberi Florentine were also very good, not too heavy and the polenta was perfectly seasoned as well.
The service was very good, friendly, knowledgeable and unobtrusive.

We had tried to get reservations at some other more familiar places, and I am so glad we couldn't get them, as Louis turned out to be a real find! We will be returning regularly. The restaurant is beautifully done with lovely outdoor bar and dining. I had a caprese salad to die for with heirloom tomatoes and homemade mozzarella. My husband had a wonderful yellow and red beet salad. I had lasagne and it was good but since I don't cook with salt, the tomato sauce was a tad salty. my dad had the brick chicken, was the best chicken i have had in a resturant - usually it is so dry. the steak at 34$ could have been a lot better for that price point - all you tasted was the sauce it was smothered in. the pastas where fresh and very tasty.
