  • The food was delicious. we

The food was delicious. we were there on a Tuesday night and it was pretty quiet sans for a few tables, and some guys watching sports at the bar. Large drink list (I got a delicious cucumber cocktail). The waiter allowed my aunt to add fish to the portabella mushroom dish and modified it to make it even more delicious. I had swordfish that was flavored and cooked perfectly. If you are looking for a nicer meal in a more casual town like Santa Cruz, this is a great place!

I stopped in for a quick lunch and just had calamari, which wasn't all that good really. But it was a very nice restaurant and I am thinking it would be much better for dinner.

It was first time ever eating at Clouds and the food was very delicious. It was actually quite unexpected. I got the garden salad (which was out of this world...I would go back again just for the salad)and the stuffed chicken which was pretty good. Everyone who ordered food was thoroughly impressed with their plate. We had a party of 15 and they were able to easily accommodate us, however, the service was not stellar. We had to ask for menu's after 10+ minutes and they were not very attentive to our drinks. I understand we had a large party and people continued to stop by, but many of them did not order anything, so they should not have interfered with the service.

The food here is inconsistent, perhaps depending on who is cooking? Burger meat tends to be on the salty side and sometimes overworked (which makes the meat tough). The fish dishes are usually a good bet, as are the fish tacos. The fries are great too.

We enjoyed our experience at Clouds! It was a bit noisy and the crowd was a bit older than we expected. Our next trip will be after 8pm as that seems to be a quieter period. Would recommend!

This was a great place to hang out and chat with friends over dinner. The atmosphere was very energetic. Not much for romance or kids. The food was really great, and they had a good variety of options to choose from.

Our visit was mixed. I had made reservations through Open Table but was told when we arrived at the scheduled time that Clouds does not have access to Open Table reservations and that any reservations made on Open Table are not available. Luckily about half the tables were open on a Saturday evening at 6:45 so we (party of 4) were seated right away. My only complaint is that Open Table and Clouds restaurant need to fix the communication problem. Another party (of 11) arriving just before we did, had also made reservations through Open Table and was told the same thing.
