Lou & Mickey'sMothers Day BrunchOur recent experience was for Mothers Day brunch, I made our reservation online via OpenTable.
The buffett was delicious, I personally loved the seared Yellow Fin, but the prime rib was also just as great.
The Bloody Mary bar was a nice touch as I love Bloody Marys at brunch.
All-in-all my wife had a great mothers day brunch at Lou and Mickeys which help set the mood for the rest of her day, we highly recommend Lou and Mickeys for any occasion, we will definitely be back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing steaksIf you like steaks, well this is the place. The staff said the in bone prime rib eye would be great for me. I tried it and I absolutely loved it! It's pretty big (20 oz.), but with the bone, you can finish it. If you like a full flavored steak and do not like to chew for a long period of time. Get the in bone prime rib eye. You would not be disappointed. Cheers!

Definitely a five star restaurant and a five star experience, everything was great. The service was outstanding, our waiter, his name was Micheal was very good and knowledgeable about the menu and had obviously done much homework to know what to recommend. The indoor atmosphere was very elegant, my wife and I enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Outside dining is available too, it is heated for the cool evenings, but seemed a little noisy located on busy 5th Avenue. Indoor is better (my opinion).
Lou & Mickeys reminds me of some of the classy restaurants we have visited in New Orleans, that is my favorite city for fine dining. But this restaurant is in that league. Service was also fantastic, attentive and helpful.

Outdoor dining makes you feel like you are in the heart of the city without the noice and bussel. Service was great or waiters knowledge of the dishes and her suggestions were right on the money. It was recommended to me by a friend and my boyfriend and I were blown away. Our server was so kind and was great with educating us on the food, the restaurant and the history of the place and construction. Then when our actual food came, our minds were blown ever further. I have never had steak so delicious and melt in your mouth amazing. The food was better than I ever could have imagined. To top it all off, we sat outside on the patio, looking out towards the convention center and the Gaslamp district.
