L'OperaLoved it!Went to this restaurant for Mother's Day and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was delicious. We had a nice table which accommodated our large group and we were able to enjoy our meal and also there was a lady signing opera while we dined! Everyone loved it and we will definitely be back!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Feast Fave!After having been to several restaurants for MOther's Day that offer minimum menus at sky high prices I was happy to see that L'Opera did the exact opposite. Their menu offered great food for adults & our 5 children ages 7-10. Feast included Filet Mignon, butternut squash soup, minestrone soup, veal piccata, Frutti Di Mare and other pasta dishes. All nine of us walked out of L'Opera happy due to the exceptional food and service we received. The chef even adjusted his recipe to satisfy our dietetic needs. Knowing which Pinot was more full bodied, etc. Tried the triple pasta for two - great selection. Fresh tastes. Not limited to Italian but that is obviously the heritage. Treated all guest equally we were in business mode and casual couple next to us were handled with equal courtesy. The service was amazing. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by smiling faces, to the minute we left and were bid goodnight - the staff at this restaurant were extremely attentive, professional, caring and friendly.
The food was delicious. My only complaint was the Lobster Ravioli, although tasty, the filling was a little too dry. But we all enjoyed our meals, drinks, appetizers, breads, the house Merlot was very good, and the desserts were perfection.

We had a lovely meal, good wine and wonderful service that evening. We were only two that night but there were many families with multiple generations. The room is large and the ceilings high so even though I've mentioned that the noise level was Energetic, it was not so loud that you had to raise your voice or strain to hear. It was well managed. When I'm in town, I always go there, and it just gets better and better. Love this restaurant. The service is outstanding. The prices very reasonable. The food is excellent. The bread is to die for. And the minestrone soup is fabulous--and vegan. And they are very flexible. If you want something made a special way, ask. It was great when it started, slipped a bit in the food, and now is back with very good food. We were pleased to see the transition back to their roots and creating very good food. Two nitpicks though: (1) the food was a little slow coming out; and (2) the fixed prixe dish that our friend had was reduced portions of each. Incredible food, wonderful and attentive staff (without being too attentive). What I especially like is how they will modify their menu for your tastes. Never a problem.
also, they keep their staff around so it's nice when they remember you.

Andrew was our server and he is gracious and and fun. Alex was behind the bar and he makes incredible Bellinis. The food was amazing as always and the valet service is very fast and they are very respectful of your car. At one point a guest in our party asked for orange juice and when Andrew found that there wasn't any available he grabbed oranges and squeezed fresh juice for us. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't say enough nice things about the professionals work there.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
