  • "Good place for a date, not too expensive. Our waiter was kind of odd and he kept disappearing on us! The food was good, but not great. My family is from South American so maybe I'm a little harsh, but my bf who is from the North Shore wasn't overwhelmed either. It's nice to get something different in the area. In any case, we enjoyed our food, would go recommend but we aren't in a hurry to return."

  • "We loved all the varieties of small plates, especially how different each of their four empanadas tasted. We also liked the Primavera salad and the fried plantains with Chimichurri sauce. Unfortunately, our waiter wouldn't explain things to us or even point out, when we ordered two pork and two chicken corn cakes, which were which. We had to bring him back to the table to point it out to us. The waiter handling another table was outstanding - we heard him offering recommendations and explaining the dishes as he brought them out. We were a little jealous, to be honest! The room is cozy and nice. Beer selection was small but good, with half of the beers from Latin America and half local. We'll be back."

  • "This has been at least my 10th time at Longitud 315 and again the food was fantastic. It seems like one dish after the other is so full of flavor and prepared to perfection. From the homemade plantains and Chimichuri sauce to the delicious wood plank salmon with incredible selection of sides. On top of that, my waiter offered me the best red wine selection. The perfect pairing. If you haven't been here, call not to get your reservation. They have gotten busy but its worth the wait."

  • "We had dinner at the restaurant Sunday, March 30. It was our second dinner at the restaurant. The first time was fabulous both service and food. This time food was good but the service was terrible. We did not receive our food in the correct order. The waiter was not attentive due to restaurant being understaffed. We will try the restaurant once more time."

  • "It was my first time at Longitud315 and it was excellent. I took my sister there for a special night out. We had 2 appetizers, split the Churrasco entrée which was amazing and then we had 2 amazing desserts. The sauces and spices are just amazing!!! I plan on coming back again. :)"

  • "We all loved the food, even my finicky18-year old son. He said this restaurant inspired him to try steak, something he NEVER eats. The only real negative was our server. He seemed pretty distracted. Didn't ask if we wanted another drink. Didn't bother bringing us extra plates or forks to share dessert...which took forever to get to the table. Fortunately the manager compensated. He was gracious and helpful. We will definitely be back, but not too soon. It is a bit pricey to be in the regular rotation. Portions are a decent size but are priced about 20% higher than I would normally pay."

  • "This place blew me away. They start with a green chimichurri to dip fried plantain chips in. This was amazing. I would have been content just eating this. Then I got their arepas which were divine. Then their salmon was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. I had a great time there. I would go back in a heartbeat. I would HIGHLY recommend."

  • "Longitud315 was a fun Friday night out for four. We were looking for great food and a lively atmosphere still conducive to talking. Glad we made reservations, as it was packed. It had a warm, cozy atmosphere, yet the tables were not too close together. The red sangria was a great start, and nice S.American wines to choose from. We shared the empanadas, mussels and arepas - all delicious. I had the salmon entree, which was fantastic, served with grilled asparagus, plantain and rice. We shared the fried bananas and coco chocolate cake - all good. The ice cream served with them was better. We agreed - come to Longitud315 hungry, because the food is filling. A great find in the Northshore if you like South American fare in a good atmosphere."

  • "I went with my husband and our two teenagers for dinner and the food was just remarkable. They greeted us with super crunchy plantains with a delicious Chimichurri salsa. Since the menu has also the option of small plates, we decided to go for a potpourri of flavors. We began with the Venezuelan tequenos and arepas which were mouth watering. Cheff Tonny really elevated the flavor and the texture of those Venezuelan dishes. The churrasco style meats, crab cakes and lamb chops were simply scrumptious. Cant wait to go again!!!"

The wait staff is amazing and well educated on the menu and wine selection. Chef Tony is unbelievable and often visits each table after cooking his amazing food with great flavor and fresh herbs! After searching online for new restaurants closer by, I discovered Longitud315. Dinner could not have been better. Well cooked and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Ambience is perfect for a quiet dinner or special occasion. Great opportunity to sample South American cuisine. I will certainly be returning. Beware however, parking can be an issue in this small neighborhood."

  • "News travels fast if a restaurant is special, so when we kept hearing about Longitude 315, we knew we had to try it out. It did not disappoint! We had the mussels and then the salmon, per readers suggestion and WOW - they were delicious! The seasoning is amazing and the salmon was cooked exactly the way we asked for it. We went on a Thursday night and were glad we had reservations. This is one popular spot!"

  • "This was our second time at Longitude315.The experience was wonderful and the food was even better than we remembered. From the minute we set foot in the door everything was handled in a way that created a lovely, easy evening. They provide just the right amount of attention, but not too much and everyone seems personally vested in the place. We shared the mussels and eggplant appetizer both of which were terrific. Two of us had the chicken which was very flavorful and had a lovely sweet potato mixture alongside. Two of us had the salmon, which is phenomenal. So many folks we know come for that dish which is a bit spicy with a rub and cooked perfectly. The sweet rice and plantain is also wonderful."

  • "I was trying to make a reservation online for a Friday evening dinner. My restaurant of choice was booked, but open table suggested another nearby. I had never heard of the longitud315, but went with the recommendation anyway. I received a text from them about 15 prior to my reservation time saying that my table was ready early. The place was warm and energetic. The service great and the food truly delicious. So glad that I found it - will definitely return."

  • "It was very quiet due to a blizzard again. Argentinian Fire Roasted Eggplant Montaditos- was exceptional. Peruvian crab cakes was just enough in the small plates. Lamb chops were seasoned just right. Varied menu made it easy for everyone to find something they liked. Will absolutely go again."

  • "This place has some of the best south american cuisine I've ever had in Chicago. The fried platano and chimichurri sauce was phenomenal, what an amazing texture and flavor combination! I would suggest the Argentinian and Colombian empanadas. Overall, the wait staff is extremely attentive, the portions are generous and flavorful, and the environment is romantic. Chef Tony Castillo actually came out after the meal to greet us, and then sent us over a free dessert for Valentines Day. It's a rarity to find such class and quality cuisine all under one roof. Longitud315!"
