Wailea Restaurant Week invites the opportunity for local restaurants to showcase the best they have to offer. Longhi's fails to understand this concept with an unimaginative Prix Fixe menu and poor service. To add insult to injury, in order to get some veggies on your plate, you are required to shell out $8-10 extra for what most likely only costs the restaurant a pittance. Our server, Claire, although pleasant and basically helpful failed to ask at any time whether we were pleased with our meal (crab cakes were served cold and mushy and the dessert was merely bland). We opted to have wine pairings with our meals and had the next courses' wines delivered before the previous ones were even half consumed - no coordination whatsoever! My husband sat on a old upholstered bench which had seen better days and could not support his 180 lbs. and therefore his 6' frame sat well below mine on my hard chair. The first time I have ever had this vantage point! This was our second or third visit to Longhi's and will be our last unless the owners/managers raise their game. Wailea locals are accustomed to receiving a far higher standard of fare and service and the tourists are also deserving of far better than what this restaurant is currently offering. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Our family has been going to Longhi's in Lahaina since the late 80's. Then when it opened in Wailea, we dined at both locations every time we visited . Over the years I have recommended Longhi's to over a hundred people. I have been here less than one week and have already dined at each location. First we went to Lahaina and were extremely disappointed. The artichoke appetitizer was raw and lemony, and had to be sent back. The fettuccine Alfredo was gluey, with like a thickened white sauce, and when we asked for grated parmesan, the waiter showed us a pizza parlour style jar of stale grated cheese of some sort already on the table. The veal entree was tough. We thought maybe it was a bad night. We went to the Wailea location a few nights later to give it a second chance, only to find the food quality was the same as in Lahaina, even with the same stale grated cheese in a jar on the table. The crab cake appetizer was miniscule and the bolognese sauce on the entree was tasteless, chunks of ground meat in an acidic, diluted tomato sauce. The wine list at both locations was good, as was the service, but unfortunately we will not revisit nor recommend any more.

Recently visited Longhi's as part of their November Restaurant Week promotion. The selections on the price fixe menu were very good, definitely something for every taste, with the addition of a wine pairing, made for a perfect al fresco dining experience. From appetizer to dessert, the food was terrific, the service attentive without being pushy, I would recommend Longhi's to anyone with a discerning taste for fine food and wine.

We had heard many nice things about Longhi's but unfortunately, were very disappointed. Reservations had been made and despite there being many tables available, we waited 10 minutes to be seated. Orders were taken incorrectly, dessert was dry and tasteless, service was adequate at best, and the entree was poorly presented.

Don't waste your money on the surf and turf. The lobster was small and only got three bites. Gave me a whole claw and the body, but no tools which for the price it should have all come out of the shell. The filet was okay, but nothing note worthy. Definately not worth the $65.00 they charge. Go next door to the Grand Wailea at Humahumahuma....the same is $64.00 there and is amazing!

The highlight of the meal was the bread they bring as appetizer. We ordered three entrées and each was moderate at best (2 seafood dishes & 1 surf and turf). The steak was poorly cooked, the 1lb. Lobster tail was short a couple of our ounces. Overall an overpriced resort meal.

Decided to do the 'Price Fix' dinner this time at $39.95 ....lovely presentation and the food was "yummy"... Our waiter was very attentive and most helpful as the menu is large... all in all a great meal... we were able to take our pasta portion home and enjoyed it in our condo the next evening...can't beat that! Happy hour is great and the bartenders are efficient and lots of fun... Mahalo!!

Our meal was delicious, and our plate portions were VERY large. Overall we enjoyed our meal and experience, but the service and ambiance was nice, nothing to brag about though. The outside seating was nice, and the decor was what you would expect for the italian food, but there wasn't much more to the look and service we received. The food was worth the visit.

We were seated, ordered drinks, saw that everyone around us was served bread. requested bread when we got our salad served... no bread came. Drinks finished, salad finished & no bread. Waitress asked others if they needed anything, except us. More drinks? We just sat there for 20 minutes watching everyone drink & eat their bread. Another couple sat next to us & before even looking at their menu to order, they got bread. Still no bread for us. Couple next to us returned their pasta dish and said it wasn't good. We decided to get up & pay for our drinks & salad w/ the host. Still no one came to the table to ask why we were leaving. Manager came & said "I'm sorry you feel this way"... its not how we feel, it's what actually happened!

Excellent, attentive service. Wide range of wines and cocktails. The menu has a nice variety for fish, pasta and steak, as well as nightly specials, which sounded amazing. It's next to Cheeseburger's, which has nightly live entertainment, so be warned that the sound travels if you're looking for a quiet dinner on the patio. It's on the pricey side for mall courtyard dining, but it is Wailea. Worth visiting, particularly if you're staying at the Marriot or Grand Wailea, since it's within walking distance.

I wanted to think all previous negative reviews were wrong, but when we went they didn't even make the signature dish correctly. The shrimp Longhi was off on two counts.....added pare sedan cheese to the garlic bread which affects the garlic, lemon sauce...and they neglected to toss the shrimp in flour before sautéing. Omitting this gives a less flavorful shrimp. I talked with the manager on the way out as they sell their cookbooks there. He indicated they did make it wrong. The place was very empty....waiter was nice but seemed to want to talk. Maybe he was bored. They could have cleaned the tables....we were seated at one with semi dried ketchup. Yuk!

The food was pricey and lacked in taste, presentation and portion size! Be prepared to be charged for every little thing. i asked for a slice of tomato in place of the carb my dish came with and they charged me $1.75 for one slice of tomato!! We sat outside and were drenched in sweat by the time we finished our meal. I would totally skip this restaurant all together.

We expected better food for the price, even in Maui. Which we know is very expensive. The clams with linguini were a little tasteless, as was the child's pasta with bolognese sauce. The shrimp and scallops dinner had terribly unfresh scallops. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We have been to Longhi's almost every year since we have been coming to Maui for over a decade. It is always one of our favorites. This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had on Maui. We sat for 10 minutes before being acknowledged. We had to ask for bread and the busboy seemed to be bothered that he had to bring it. We were given the iPad menu for drinks then told we would here about the regular menu and specials when he (Derek) came back. That was another 5-7 minutes... Still no water. The food was bland though my wife liked her fettuccine with shrimp, my chicken had no flavor at all. We never got checked on the whole time. Ian, the one bright spot in the restaurant got our waiter to bring the check. Never again.

The food as always ...very good! First, reservation no problem seated on time. Our son has a problem with people that use to much cologne or perfume. After trying to stay where we were, I asked to be changed to another table and wait staff was very kind and obliging. Also due to outside setting, tablecloth has debris and glasses, chair pads stained. We had breakfast here a few days earlier, same thing but no problem with smells. The food as always very good.

Visited during lunch (weekday). Not very crowded I presumed due to the time and the day of the week which was excellent for me, don't like noisy crowds. Reserved for indoor seating, but when i arrived they had us sitting in the patio area. I thought it would be too hot for my elderly mom, but the hostess insisted that the canopy would be fine. I would have preferred in little more inside seating. I guess they wanted to keep everyone close in one area (outside patio) for thier convinience. Thus, lower score for the Service for not honoring request, otherwise the food service was great. food was delicious. we had 2 pasta dishes, caprese & calamari. calamari was not overcooked, but the light batter could've been cooked 'til golden more.

My family (wife & two boys) vacations to Wailea on Maui every year over the summer and eat at Longhi's at least once. We started by ordering calamari, which seemed a bit undercooked. My wife and I both ordered the Longhi salad - very good. My entree was veal marsala with a side of spaghetti in a cream sauce - fantastic. The spaghetti was al dente and the perfect amount of sauce - not drowning in it - just right. My veal was also very delicious. Their bread is also fantastic. The boys ordered pizza - mediocre at best. My wife ordered chicken piccatta. She was very disappointed with her order. The chicken appeared deep fried. It was similar to fried chicken soaked in lemon sauce. She barely touched her meal.

Of the 8 restaurants we tried on our recent trip to Wailea, this was by far the most disappointing for the price. I would not go back nor recommend it. Our group of 5 all agreed. Service was fair to poor. The food, (5 different entrées) was bland and not flavorful. The price was high and not at all worth the overall experience. Our group is very low maintenance, and we were not at all impressed. There are so many better restaurants I'm suprised it's still in business. I think its excellent location in the Shops at Wailea keeps people walking in the door.
