Lone Eagle Grille
Service attentive, food goodWe were greeted warmly and shown to a table by the windows (as requested).
Joe came to the table and was attentive throughout the meal.
George and the head wine steward were attentive and left us with good memories.
Presentation was good, however the quality was not memorable.
The scallop appetiser and the elk were prepared well, presented well and overall, exquisite.
The filet was presented medium rare rather than medium and lacked flavor.
The mushrooms were forgettable and the creamed spinach disappointing.
Desert was good.
Service - saved by Joe and George5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWent 2 nights in a row with friendsFairly expensive but the quality of the food, the view of the lake, service and wine list was well worth it. We actually went two nights in a row with friends.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the brand new menu!Loved the brand new menu! Exceptional! Great bold flavors! Perfect sized portions! Absolutely loved the Baked Tahoe! Great finish to an awesome meal5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent is the best wayExcellent is the best way to describe the Lone Eagle. On the shores of Lake Tahoe the view from inside is tremendous. It's $$$$$ but worth every penny.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and view!Went for Dinner at the Lone Eagle Grille. It's worth it just to come in and see the view of Lake Tahoe. Wide variety of foods and even had a separate vegetarian menu which a member of our party was glad to see. They left an Ipad at the table for us to sort through all the available drinks which was interesting. Everything was delicious. Staff was very nice and accommodating. An evening dinner on the patio is great and the ability to walk on the beach and onto the dock. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Incline Village.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMVisiting the Tahoe area isVisiting the Tahoe area is a special treat at anytime. Throw in a special visit to this restaurant and the trip becomes unforgettable! Amazing menu, great service and wonderful ambience! Couldn't have enjoyed this restaurant and our special occasion any more!!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was outstanding,The service was outstanding, and the sommelier was very helpful and respectful when I brought in a special wine. The atmosphere is wonderful with a beautiful view of the lake. My New York steak was delicious and cooked perfectly, and we both got sides of vegetables that were cooked just right (not overcooked or under cooked) and had a wonderful flavor.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSeated immediately. ExoticSeated immediately. Exotic items on the menu, e.g., elk and bison. Our table was next to a fireplace. Nice and cozy, except it was next to the main path used for seating customers who arrived after we did.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent service. KristiExcellent service. Kristi Snyder is one of the best Sommeliers with a lot of passion and knowledge. Best place for a great food, wine, live music and sunset view of the lake.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBig room, tastefully done,Big room, tastefully done, serving big game dishes done artfully. Bison and Antelope both were grilled beautifully. Kristi the Sommelier made the meal special. Knowledegable and extremely friendly. Going back for "Wine on the Water".4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant is in an incrediblyThis restaurant is in an incredibly beautiful spot, and is a beautiful restaurant itself with a huge fireplace and amazing views of Lake Tahoe.
It has a great bar and lounge area as well.
The menu was a little too precious for our taste: they have "upgraded" their menu to include several "unique" items such as elk loin - can't judge how good that might be as we didn't order it. The beet salad was drowning in an oily sauce and looked more like pieces of jello than beets. The steak was just okay, not up to the price. However the service was great, the desserts were great, the pasta was great. And they have a vegetarian menu too which was interesting!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMCasual but upscale. A betterCasual but upscale. A better value for your dollar than many other fine dining places around Lake Tahoe. Stunning view and alpine rustic decor make it a good place to take someone special. While they have dropped their traditional prime rib from the dinner menu, their steaks are the best, with a side of their mushroom medley. And their margarita on the rocks sets the tone for a pleasurable evening.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster BrunchThe Easter Brunch was off the charts fantastic. Everything you could imagine was available. The dessert station was amazing. Service was outstanding. All in all it was an Easter to remember.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMLone Eagle is a must see forLone Eagle is a must see for all of my out of town visitors. Lone Eagle has always been accommodating when I request a table with a view for my guests. All my foodie friends have been happy with the food and wine list on top of the spectacular views.
The service has always been great, with professional, charming, energetic wait staff.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMYum!Simply outstanding. The view is unmatched. Our table was right by the large fireplace and it was magical. Scallops were a treat and the game hen was cooked to perfection.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMStill good, but not as great?!This was our 4th time at Lone Eagle, but the first time we have gone back since their renovations. It looked as lovely as ever, but they changed the menu. Almost completely new. They had this chicken with Morel Mushroom sauce that was to die for, but alas, it is no longer on the menu.
The service did not seem quite as good as it has been on our prior visits. Overall it was a good visit, just dissapointed they removed our favorite dishes. I could not give 5 stars for this visit.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMTwo sides to the StoryGreat dinner in a very special setting. Wait in bar was not so wonderful: very crowded, wine at $14. a glass, and poorly behaving children. Next time we will arrive just in time for dinner seating and skip the chaos in the bar.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been going to Lone EagleWe've been going to Lone Eagle Grill for about 10 years. We come to Incline Village in March to ski. The last few years we had been disappointed in the quality of the food, but went this year just because it's a tradition.
What a wonderful surprise we had. The food was excellent, and we found a new favorite wine. Service was excellent as it always has been. We were very happy with our dinner and will be excited to go back next year.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic restaurantIncredible restaurant with amazing food and fantastic service. The short rib entree is the best thing I have ever tasted.3/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
